One of the best Russian TV series in recent times. The script, the actors, the soundtracks, everything, everything, everything down to the smallest detail is great)
@Walter_WHY: it's sad for people, but the romanticization of marginals in the series did not attract me, although without it it would not have come out the way it should be. In any case, I didn't feel sorry either when the night shooters killed bandits (outright scum, murderers, thieves and robbers), or when Chekan and Ida were killed.
The best Russian TV series of the last two decades. Even the second and third time is interesting to watch, even though the intrigue is already known. For the sake of the characters, I want to review it over and over again.
— Vitaly, do you have any bad feelings? — Of course, there are. This is what we call "intuition." — You have intuition, but in Odessa, our ass is on fire.
I watched the Armenian State television series - it was shown in Russian from arm. subtitled a couple of years after the release in Russia. I'll never forget how the trailer we created revealed the identity of the spy even before the series was released =D
@dracon86: That's not the word. If this trailer had been turned only once, it might not have been fixed, but it turned every day. If I remember correctly, there was something like this: "3 opinions will collide - [they called the position of] Gotsman (video quote with Gotsman), [they called the boss of Gotsan and the video quote with him], and the spy who remained from the Germans as a gift (video quote with Porechenkov)"
The series is straining, trying to evoke empathy for Chekan and his girlfriend: he has devoted so much time to their relationship, and inserts laconic, lingering scenes between them to sentimental music. Is the main character of the series Minted after all? Is he a positive hero? I've already killed so many people for the series, and how can I empathize with it?
I started watching the series on my mom's advice, saying it was a masterpiece. The first few episodes were really interesting, but then we just started to lose it, even mom admitted that she had previously perceived the series in a completely different way. What do we have? A sprawling, uninteresting story about backward scouts and bandits, with no clear purpose. Zakos looks like Sherlock Holmes, namely, a cool detective line, but one word, zakos. The main villain. I don't know what the scriptwriters were "inspired by" when they decided which villain the series needed, but it clearly had to be a terrifying man whom no one knows by sight, especially his own, who has real power over everyone. What have we got? Vital with puppy eyes, who inexplicably became the head of the operation, while such a professional as Chekan studied with him at a special school. And where are the Nazis anyway, who controls the capture of Odessa? In short, everything is sucked out of the finger and the puzzle is crooked and askew only thanks to the previews before each episode. The only line that I was interested in was Chasing and Ida. Yes, they are criminals, but in the series they were shown from a romanticized side, basically like everything in cinema. It was nice to watch a restrained man who didn't babble in front of an Academician, but brushed scouts like sunflower seeds. By the way, there was no sympathy for the latter. The time was really scary, people were taken to camps for nothing, of course, willy-nilly you want to take up arms against the authorities.
@Demausol: Chekan and the Academician took different training courses. If Chekan was trained primarily as an operative, for whom handling weapons, hand-to-hand combat, etc. are primarily important. The Academician was trained as a spy, who was primarily trained in the ability to infiltrate and hide undisclosed for a long time. Therefore, in some ways the Coinage is superior to the Academician, and in some ways the Academician is superior to the Coinage.
Is the series being renewed? I wonder why? I remember how the most charismatic character, Fima, was removed in the very first episode - I already wanted to drop the series from such a fierce injustice. But I kind of watched it and I even liked it.
It's a very good series. Emotional, emotional, colorful. Quite dramatic and difficult, but at the same time very subtly and moderately funny. As they say, you can talk with quotes)) It's nice that, despite the gravity of the topic, time and events, the creators left people as people with their subtle inimitable humor, habits, and way of life.. It's a good series. I watch and review with pleasure.
It's just like Driving with Gosling. Either Gotzman died at the end, or he didn't. Although I think, of course, that I retired. And he brought the matter to an end with the Academician. And he set the Bear on the right path. And Odessa, though not forever, was cleansed of banditry. David Markovich's heart has already failed, I think. Oil painting! 12/10.
The series is just great! I kept putting it off until later, but yesterday I sat down to watch it and couldn't tear myself away until it was over. The ending is not clear, but I want to believe that he is still alive.
I'm so glad that I didn't watch many TV series and movies of that time, because nowadays there's very little that really catches and surprises already. And going back to the old direction, I just admire it, I get into many details, and this series has sunk into my soul. The words at the end of the series definitely emphasized a lot. One of my favorite moments was when Mishka punched the major hard on the bench. The main characters are delight, and the minor characters are very memorable to me in the Odessa dialect. And Dobronravov's participation in any painting gives incredible warmth and a smile) The drama and humor in this series is just an "oil painting" ☺️
I watched the series after almost 20 years of its release. I was constantly watching TV , but I never watched it for more than 10 minutes , because I knew that the series was interesting , and I was waiting for the moment to come when I would watch it from beginning to end . The only thing I didn 't understand was how Platov proved that he was kind of his own by leaving a Polish coin , and Stechel brought him the change . I don 't understand at all , they didn 't talk about Poles in the series at all , they talked about Romanians . Can someone explain who? Or did I fuck up and not look carefully? Although I always look carefully and listen to every word .

49And in general, I liked the series.
We also confirmed that season 2 will be
Although in this series I feel sorry for all the bandits and the "good ones".

In marriage.
Spoilers are not cool. 👎🏽
Another example of people sitting out of place.
