It creates the feeling of some kind of laboratory / testing area.

I don't understand, does she have a personality split or what? One minute she's a clumsy cute schoolgirl, the next she's a tough monster slayer. Well, at least she gets wounds, otherwise there are times when they win because that's how it is. but her fights are not solved logically, she just cuts well and dodges and falls into some kind of state, it looks like she's the chosen one or something like that. And what did the ancient one say, that they choose victims, but on what principle? They didn't eat "garbage," the baker and those dudes don't look like bad people, or did they find out about the ancients? Maybe these people are ancient themselves, maybe they are ancient people? therefore, few people know about their existence...
