The name given to the monkey is a reference to the famous rakugo (a traditional Japanese humorous miniature, conducted, as a rule, on behalf of one narrator with background music and interruptions between stories).
The story is called "Jugemu ...". Its essence is that the parents wanted to give the newborn child a name so that fate would be kind to him, and, unable to decide, brought everything to the point of absurdity, putting all the options offered to them into one. Further along the plot, rakugo just plays out the absurdity of this name, and often the story ends with the fact that after a fight, a friend of Jugemu ... comes to complain to his parents that their child gave him a bump, and while he pronounces a long name, the bump manages to heal)
Yes, this fairy tale was notably fucked up in the anime)

By the way, if anyone is interested: the mentioned rakugo is still found in the anime Uchi no Shishou wa Shippo ga Nai, or "My master has no tail", I advise you to watch, if you are interested in this topic, a very soulful title about the path of becoming a young rakugoka, who, so to speak, is "not of this world" (you'll understand what I mean if you watch the first episode));
I can also recommend the anime Kabukichou Sherlock / Sherlock from Kabuki-te - there, too, the art of rakugo plays an important role in the plot, because the local Sherlock Holmes uses it to solve crimes. As for me, an interesting interpretation of the famous works of Arthur Conan Doyle in the Japanese setting)
