in the last episode, X was ready to kill Mulder, and now, as if nothing had happened, he came to warn that his mom was in danger. I still feel sorry for the nigga :(
@baldarek: for two seasons in a row, I want to stick such a cross on myself (so that the neighbor breaks his head), but now I thought about it... Probably not worth it. Otherwise, some "Mr. X" will really come, send him out later :) #shyutkayumor
@baldarek: It's obvious, but when Scully put on the cross and Mr. X came, she asked him, "How did you find me?" What was the point of this question then?
Damn it, that healer Jeremy Smith could have told Mulder everything a thousand times from beginning to end, while they were sailing on a boat, driving in a car and climbing hills. We saw a lot, but still nothing is clear. And Mulder didn't have any "pluggers" left. And Mr. X fell dead. And tears of impotence over his mother's hospital bed. For what? But this is only the beginning of the season...
Such a sad episode. The saddest moment is when Scully tells Mulder that there is still hope, and at the same moment they show a dying Mr. X crawling. Just to the point of tears. Although compared to Deep Throat, he was quite muddy and somehow helped Mulder less, I still feel sorry for him. The screenwriters made fun of it, imho, when suddenly events jumped a month ahead and Mulder said "I've suffered personal losses." I already thought that his mother had died after all, and that would be too much for one episode. It seems to me that part of the Smoker did not let her die, because there is still some humanity in him. It would be interesting to observe the further disclosure of this character.
It seemed to me that the Smoker loved Mulder's mom very much and part of that feeling remained. And at one point, they even thought that Fox was his biological son. Or Samantha is his daughter.
Mulder leaving Scully is, of course, gorgeous. He also calls and asks: "where are you?" I'm terribly disappointed in him And when will this alien be killed? He's not such a big negative character that he won't be removed. One consistently negative character, a smoker, is enough. The rest, I think, can be replaced gradually. I'm kind of tired of him. I really liked Jeremy Smith. Both the character and the actor. I immediately got into it. Somehow you trust him. Mulder running around with a girl is cute, but stupid. And why would she decide to go with him? A bunch of girls, but I chose the one, and she agreed. In general, they did not substantiate anything. And I liked Mr. H. Even more than a Deep throat. The character himself looked more impressive and firmer, which appeals to me. He opened up more, they told more about him (even though he worked for a smoker and dug under him). I am very sorry about his death. I hope I like the new informant. And yet, after this series, it became clear where the story came from that vaccinations are evil.
@_olololia_: yes, Madler always throws Scully really fucked up)) then she not only sits there, tormented, not knowing where he is, but also saves him after all the troubles that he alone started.
@areyoukiddingme: He also calls her and says, "Scully, don't worry, I'm fine." He won't let her get a word in, meanwhile she was almost strangled and now they're sitting and holding her in the car...
An obvious mistake of the screenwriters: back in the first part, it was shown that Jeremy Smith could easily evaporate from the scene (near the diner and from the camera), why couldn't he do it in this part? It is from such inconsistencies and jambs that the series turned out to be a little naive and frivolous.
@rina_savin: And how did he escape from the cell? One change of face is not enough, he was still seriously packed. The sheriff said that he lowered his head, and when he raised it, he was gone, as he disappeared. If he only changed faces, then he could easily leave the office.
@Painio: Considering what he was showing us, he could have put on any guard's face and just walked out of there. How he got out of his bonds and managed to open the door is the tenth thing (he could at least blur his eyes that the chair was empty, and then leave, the point is to lock an empty cell?). But he really didn't disappear from the film, but put on someone else's face and mingled with the crowd. Plus, we know that he also had a number of clones. And no one asked how the killer found him unmistakably and inexplicably, either. We probably haven't seen all of their abilities.
@Painio: He did not escape from the cell. He came to confess that he didn't remember anything-he was a hunter to cover his tracks and stop the police from searching for Jeremiah.
@Painio: obviously, the Smoker released the healer from the cell so that he could heal him. And then a healer came to the hospital, wearing the face of an alien hunter. And he cured Scully's mom. That's the only way it all makes sense.
When they were walking and then found a dead electrician, couldn't they have taken his car to get to the farm? And then we walked back to our car for a certain number of miles with a can of gasoline..
@vk243837: Imagine that you ran out of gas somewhere in the middle of the field, you went to look for a gas station and found a dead electrician with his car. Will you just get in it and go where you need to go? Or are you afraid that you will be caught and accused of murdering this electrician? Well, or stealing the property of a dead person. That's not to mention that someone is a federal agent. It is illegal to take someone else's property. Moreover, it was very close to that farm.
@vk243837: the fact they ran out of gas in the 1st place is a lazy plot point: how does o e just “run out of gas” without irresponsibly stopping to fill up the tank? 🫠
It's clear why a smoker isn't afraid of lung cancer when you have a personal healer. An interesting point is that at the end of the episode, in the room with Mulder's mother, the Smoker was standing with an unlit cigarette in his hands, in any case, there had been some moments of personal quality between them before.

53PS and Scully is shamelessly getting prettier and prettier from season to season.
