@cimermaniha: well, conditionally, the 7 gods of happiness in Japan are another pantheon, and happiness is here as a collective word. For example, Bisha is a warrior goddess who brings prosperity and wealth (read: happiness), Ebisu is the god of diligence and commerce, who also brings happiness in these matters. That is, they represent individual things that improve people's lives in one way or another.

This, by the way, explains well why we have two war gods in the anime. One is patronized as a god-protector and guardian, the other as a god of death and revenge, although they are both gods of war.
