Why couldn't Hiashi have handed over the scroll earlier?.. It could solve so many problems. At least, Neji wouldn't be so offended by the world.
I wonder what kind of showdown Gaara had with Kakashi/Sasuke. Or maybe there was no showdown at all, and he warned them about the upcoming rebellion?

It's just that the line with the scroll was added to the anime, there is no such thing in the manga. Hiashi came and told Neji everything himself, and also conveyed the words of his father. And it becomes clear why Hiashi could have waited so long for the right moment for Neji to believe his words for sure. That's what he tells Neji in response to his question "Why now?" - "Because now I feel that you can believe me."

Thanks for the clarification :) I think I should turn to manga after I (someday...) I'll watch the rest of the anime. The discrepancies may not be critical, but they do not change the picture of what is happening so much. The main question, of course, is why. Maybe the screenwriters decided that the scroll is something more understandable than some kind of conditional last will.

I recommend manga)
Some things in it are more understandable and clarify well the points that have been changed in the anime (even if only a little). And the causal relationship is better built.

I also thought that they decided that it would be easier and more understandable with the scroll.

@mymindlol: I understood that it was not Sasuke himself, but 1) his belonging to the Uchiha 2) the fact that his closest relative was one of the most gifted 3) and the fact that Itachi destroyed the clan not so long ago
