The plot has reached the apogee of its absurdity - Laurie and Elizabeth have practically become friends. And with Jared, I don't know what they did. They had Bird's testimony-it's not clear why they didn't use it, but in a compartment with Carter's brother's testimony, it would have been enough to put Jared behind bars. And if Jared had accused him of stealing money from credit cards, then who would have believed him - they would have thought that he was just trying to smear the witness. And the fact that they arranged it is nonsense because the testimony obtained under duress cannot be accepted in court, and there it is clearly heard on the recording that Jared is threatened with a gun. Perhaps that's why he was released in the end.
In any case, I really hope that all this will end on the remaining two episodes. I don't have the energy to watch this sucking the plot out of my finger anymore.
@Stotsmnb311: I agree, the storyline has already outlived itself completely, something strange is being said. The first season got off to a good start, but the writers couldn't keep up.
Oh my God, everything is so predictable) As soon as Bird started crying, I immediately thought she was going to say she was pregnant. and so it happened!
Oh May What will happen in the next episode is more shocking than what was shown in this one. About Bird, of course... It's not even clear what's worse if she keeps the baby or if she has an abortion in this case, wow, that's tough.
