In general, it's great that Buffy was brought up with PTSD - they took into account that she is an ordinary teenager. Because now in the TV series, when gg (!especially teenagers) encounter serious dangers for the first time, they behave as if nothing had happened. It's like facing a real threat of death, like a typical thing in a person's life.
