The actor playing Jay didn't really have to get used to the role) In visors, he also got into the family of bandits through his mother's line and is also smart ) A great start, an application for the best new TV series of the summer)
The beginning is quite impressive, but something was not enough for the pilot, as if they grabbed everything and made a passing picture. We took all the dialogues from the original, but we missed a couple of points that were very important for understanding the overall picture.
Ellen Barkin's character is just fire. Throughout the series, it was a pleasure to watch her, something reminded Sybil of Shonda's "Catch". The serial Smurf is significantly different from the character of the film Michaud.
Sean Hatosy has been coming across some unlucky characters lately. There is no leader from the Base, I hope Pope will take his well-deserved place.
From the film by David Michaud, they have already decently departed from the pilot. The original was very deep and emotional, and the adaptation turned out to be too superficial. But I'm not saying that it was unsuccessful. It is very difficult to judge by one series, but I hope that the momentum will not slow down.
I will add that Finn Cole perfectly coped with the role of Jay. Craig and Diran are not talking about anything. Nikki came out very well, it catches more than in the movie.
@mymindEnergy: As for depth and emotion, don't judge so soon. This is a series, and for this particular genre it is quite natural to accelerate slowly. There are many more episodes ahead.
The pilot is very good! I've been putting off watching the leaked episode all the time, but I decided to watch it, and I really liked it, I want more. The beginning is calm, the audience is not overloaded with an abundance of information. I haven't watched the original movie, but the idea itself is very promising. The characters are memorable, each evokes some kind of emotion. I hope for a great season with further continuation.
I liked "Sons of Anarchy", but the plot is different. And the hero is playing the same. Very cool. Did the creators of the Sons of anarchy do this by any chance?
@SlimBaron: No, the creators of Shameless. and it seems that the actors from "Sons of Anarchy" are not there, but you could confuse Ben Robson with Hannam, for example
Several storylines, interesting characters, and a setting.
