Buffy is amazing this season. Around the devil-and-what's going on, and she's like a rock - I see a goal, believe in myself, make decisions, make plans, manipulate, inspire, send nah. Daughter of Tomiris and Alexander the Great, damn.

Spike, or rather, William before the transformation - it's always good! Mom was right, as he was a sentimental romantic, he stayed that way, only matured a little. It is logical that such a character subsequently decided on exploits for the sake of love.

I love Spike episodes and I'm always glad to see Others!

I did not expect Giles, not only was the character shown little, but they also spoiled it. I don't understand why it's so hard to believe in Spike, it wasn't like that with Angel. Spike has already proved a thousand times that he is different, how many times he has saved them all.

It took me a moment to realize that we were talking about Fred from Angel.

A very interesting and significant series that reveals to a greater extent the essence and character of Spike. The person he was before the conversion is really capable of actions for the sake of love, and this explains a lot, even the fact that being without a soul, they still remained true to their nature.
I really like Buffy's serious attitude this season, the jokes are over, and you need to be always collected, strong to serve as an example for others.

It's amazing how most vampires change with transformation, how Angelus changed after receiving a soul, but Spike... More precisely, William... In a way, he was always himself. Doesn't that speak to the strength of his character? He has always been able to fight against inner demons. And it's not even about the stupid chip or the presence of a soul. Just imagine the same Angelus with the same chip. Would he try to help the slayer out of nothing to do? Could you fall in love with her? To die for her? To keep promises even after her death, with no hope of returning? No, he would have gone out of his way to find a way to kill Buffy, and he definitely wouldn't have gone to her for help like Spike did. It was easier with Liam: Angelus is black, Angel is white. But with Spike, when everything is gray, no one wants to figure out the shades. Only Buffy seemed to understand. It's a pity it's so late...

Probably the only episode where Giles disappointed, and I didn't support his actions. The director can be understood, Spike killed his mother, and it's hard for him to believe that a vampire can be on the side of good. I didn't remember this episode at all, which is a terrible crime!

Firstly, I am always delighted with some new information about Spike's human life, so the line with his mother is a real treasure trove!
Secondly, again, I can't help but draw parallels between Spike and Angel. The second one immediately killed his entire family (like all of them? I remember exactly for my father, but he seemed to have a younger brother or sister), and Spike immediately decided to be with his mother forever! Well, even as a demon, he wanted to cure her and travel with two beloved women together (although I laughed at Drusilla's expression when Spike told her about it, and I can't blame her for this reaction). That is, Spike has really always been devoted and capable of great and true love. Yes, you can say, well, he eventually killed his mother anyway, but no, he killed the demon. Because his mother, alas, did die with the transformation into a vampire. And Spike managed to preserve the most important thing in himself - the ability to love, I don't know how, but he did (or maybe it was because he was a terrible sentimental romantic, as his mother said). That's why I'll always consider him and Buffy a much better couple than Buffy and Angela.

And the way Buffy believes from Spike can't help but touch. Naturally, she does not realize this, but she already loves him. Because only loved ones are so fiercely protected. She didn't even defend Angel like that. And when she told the director that Spike would kill him if he climbed again and she didn't stop him—that was the final proof of that for me!

And yes: shame of you, Giles! I love you very much, but you're being unfair to Spike! Buffy also cited Angel as an example. A suffering schmuck who is able to be kind only with his soul. He's not even worth a pinky Spike.

Да, тут Джайлз не прав, тем более что чип действительно никак не помог, когда Спайк убивал людей в этом сезоне. И Баффи права, это несправедливо не дать ему шанса, ведь теперь у него есть душа. В остальном я не соглашусь с большинством. Директор мне когда-то тоже не нравился, но теперь я передумала. Действительно жаль его, ведь Спайк убил его маму и совершенно понятно его желание отомстить, да и кто бы не захотел это сделать? Сам Спайк тоже разочаровал в этой серии. Особенно когда во время драки с Вудом он говорит про его мать, что ни о чем не сожалеет и что "она знала, на что шла". Сразу припоминаются фразочки, аля "да она сама виновата". Какого хрена? Как будто она выбирала быть истребительницей, ведь мы уже прекрасно знаем, что после смерти одной истребительницы - ей становится кто-то еще именно по воле случая, а не потому что кто-то так рвется занять место предыдущей. Я сейчас не защищаю Ангела, он мне тоже не особо нравился, но Ангел всегда сожалел о своем прошлом и обо всем зле, что он натворил. А про Спайка так не скажешь и вообще не сильно заметно, что он переменился. Единственное - да, он больше не убивает людей (ну, не считая когда Первичное его провоцировало в начале сезона) и вроде пытается стать лучше, но на этом все. Кстати, плащ, который Спайк взял как трофей, когда убил Никки, он снова надевает в конце, это вообще ни разу не адекватно с его стороны.
