Uh-huh, "he that loves not abides in death", Spector's regiment has arrived... now the topic of split personality will be pedaled and someone made it good that Sally and the children are alive!
@lexsograf: I'm wondering why Stella didn't call the cops and attach this banknote to the case? Those who write such things to a maniac can help him escape or try to speak in court in his favor. Well, let's wait and see what these Spectroman notes will result in...
Oh, those smiles at the end of the series, leaves an aftertaste that after all, Paul has not forgotten everything / begins to remember or his dark self comes out. Stella is more human than ever in all seasons. The nurse still couldn't resist, and apparently the beginnings of Stockholm syndrome began to appear. Great series
@Tiro: It seemed to me from the very beginning that he was skillfully fooling everyone. And after the doctor's conversation with the lawyers, after the MRI, even more so. But we'll see, of course.
@wikto: But let's admit that all the dynamics and tension in the series have disappeared. Apart from the interrogations, there is nothing to look at this season, the secondary lines are boring and no longer affect the main plot in any way.
@charlieeolf29: Yes, undoubtedly. Although I still like that the creators decided to show the other side of the coin, so to speak. After all, they usually end up on capture and say that's it, a happy ending. And then there are such passions :)
Кстати, до сих пор загадка, зачем вводили линию Монро в первом сезоне? Что это вообще было? Убить полицейского можно было и без этого лишнего сюжета, он же никак не повлиял вообще не основное дело.
And I have a very mixed impression of this season... It seems to be atmospheric, as before, and the characters are still catchy... but the plot seemed to stop. Practically nothing happens. And even when something happens, it is not developed. Katie got caught, well ok, the fact that she sprayed lemon (?) acid in the eyes of a friend, will anyone even remember? Sally Ann makes a suicide attempt - and no one talks to her, they only talk to Olivia, but Sally does not seem to be there, even her husband did not come to her - or Stella... I have a constant feeling of some kind of understatement... :( It's very interesting how the nurse feels about Paul. I have a feeling that she felt like a savior who could lead him to God or something like that :))) And when they showed the doctor who discussed Sally, I was even afraid that the medical series would continue now :)))
@Ravenwyrd: as for the development, yes, somehow they are not in a hurry with this, especially considering that there are not so many episodes and the season is final. Everything is so quiet and suspiciously calm that it seems that something shocking is waiting for us in the end, and this calm will just increase the feeling of shock. This nurse is naive and admiring... I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up killing her, he's the type.
@wikto: yes, I just wrote at the beginning of the season that she was picked up right for his type - apparently so that he would recover as soon as possible :))) You fool:( Who knows, of course, maybe he really lost his memory... but it is very unlikely that he has stopped being a psychopath. Yes, I agree, maybe it's true, some kind of shocking ending is being prepared (hopefully, at least :)
I can't help feeling disgusted with the Spectrum lawyer. It's one thing when you defend a really innocent person, or an innocent (in your opinion) person, or doubt the guilt of the defendant. But it's quite another thing when you know about guilt, but for the sake of your career, ambitions, sporting interest and fame, you are looking for loopholes in the justice system to unleash the devil. It feels like the lawyer has already drawn conclusions for himself about Paul's guilt, but this only spurs and excites him. To ruin SUCH a case is the crowning achievement of his career... Such people are no better than those they let out of the cage.
@Filadora: Any kind of victory is probably important for his career and it's not necessarily an acquittal. Given the list of charges, 25 years (roughly speaking, the term was chosen randomly) with the right to early release, for example, was already a wonderful ending, indicating that the lawyer was doing his job smartly.
@Selene27: The whole season is like this. It was possible to limit ourselves to, say, an hour and a half of haste instead of stretching a couple of events into 6 episodes.
at the very beginning of the series, the red nail polish on Stella's nails immediately made it clear that something was wrong) well, the presence of the book "Crime and Punishment" in Paul's collection was of course a cliche, but still it seemed quite appropriate here
This gorgeous psychological drama, the whole series is almost like a therapist's session - the fact that Stella thanked for saying that she was to blame, and then cried is a very powerful insight, close to catharsis In general, many of the dialogues in this series have added depth. I have a strong feeling that the professor in the mental hospital is still a maniac or a sociopath himself - the way he tactfully behaved scares Stella
That's really where the mystique is, is that Paul, who survived clinical death after being shot in the chest, feels and looks much better than Tom, who was just wounded in the arm (and the bullet went off). 🤷♂️🙄
It's good that Stella blurted out her mistake for Rose; however, I'm afraid it could backfire in court if the defense suddenly finds out. And in general, of course, if Paul had already done this to Rose a bunch of years ago (and if he can prove that he killed that girl in London too), then it means that his "bad self" showed his head already then and it won't work to say that "I was white and fluffy then and not I'm responsible for what I did afterwards." No, my friend, it all started earlier...
It's good that Sally-Ann and her children survived, but how long will they have to recover psychologically after all this stuff... Especially Olivia.
It is strange that many ordinary professionalism and good bedside manners of doctors and nurses have almost equated to falling in love. Apparently, in many of our hospitals, the rudeness of medical staff is considered the norm:(
Some kind of endlessly tedious series in which nothing happens except stuffy conversations and close-ups. Against the background of the third season, the first two are just rampant action.
How do lawyers sleep at night who get rid of geeks like Specter? Are they not afraid for their wives and children? (By the way, there is a good TV series on this topic - "The Master of Escape" with Tennant).
If he had really lost his memory and was horrified when he found out about his crimes, he would hardly have proudly told another psycho in the end, "they say I'm the Belford strangler," rather he would have tried to advertise it less
There are too many questions...Why does having 2 living victims still raise the question of innocence? There is a video recording of him with a stolen girl, there are diaries proving his mental disorders. There is a confession during the interrogation! Why isn't he handcuffed and unguarded? Why is a youngster walking around on her own, pouring acid into her eyes? Why did the daughter turn from a 5-year-old baby into an 8-9l girl in a few days?
@Eliz1611: it also pissed me off how he was like, 'but how could we know that she was so desperate?!' Damn, Stella told them this in direct text in the previous episode, if they had listened to her, then this might not have happened
Whether he remembers the Gender of the last 6 years or not is not important. Even if he really doesn't remember, the trick is that he killed before, which means he understands everything perfectly. Soon the defense will dig up all the facts faster than the whole police force.
6 minutes of dialogue with a nurse who is both a psychiatrist and a psychologist and is clearly ill) 6 minutes! We must manage to stretch the series like this
The nurse is having very strange conversations. Or she is very imbued with it, and they will make some kind of line and completion out of it. Or the screenwriters just needed to fill in the screen time. Well, it's very strange
