I like Joe the most, and she's the most open character, but almost nothing is said about Beth. And Lori is just lovely, I really want her and Joe to be together as soon as possible)

I love the choice of actors for the role of the sisters and Lori! And Emily Watson is a great choice. I haven't watched the 1994 film adaptation yet, which is highly praised, but I'm thrilled here.

Lori looks like a 25-year-old man, and for some reason Amy wears makeup all the time... why? She's the youngest, on the contrary, she should look like a child, but she has black eyelashes and eyebrows and red lips. It's kind of ridiculous, it immediately catches the eye.
Well, many points are not stretched or redone, it is also unclear why. For example, why Jo met Laurie on the street instead of at a ball. The drama of Amy and Joe's quarrel seems to have been sucked out of the finger, everything is happening too fast.

I just found out about this series through kinopoisk. And before that, I read the book part 1 and the movie with Chalamet.

As someone who has watched two film adaptations and read the book halfway (and is going to finish reading it after watching this series), I am terribly surprised at how poorly this film adaptation is staged and what liberties the creators allow themselves. They cut off many of the main logical connections of the series, forgot about sisterly, friendly and family ties, while for some reason sticking out the romantic and patriotic ones so much, and as a result, from the magnificent original, which tells the touching story of the sisters and their society, we are left with only poorly played romantic relationships??? What am I watching... Why break the canvas of a work where it is not necessary, I do not understand.
And anyway, they were so poor that they only had enough for lemon lollipops, but certainly not for makeup for Amy... What a game.
