I finally began to be confused by something in the construction of the plot outline and characters , which, of course, is Lars Lars is an absolute narcissist at his core. he always behaved like shit with Sadie (and many others whom he considered less cool than himself - with his parents, and with almost all residents of Beachcity except for a bunch of teenagers who are the top of the cool for him). he felt ego pricks when he didn't know how to stick to them. he is generally poorly able to think about anything other than himself and his poshness. therefore, what began to happen at the end of the fourth season - well, Lars showed a new noble side, sacrificial - I consider to be pure fiction and wishful thinking. In this series, he showed himself as Lars, familiar to us throughout the series (selfish and pathetic, regretting that Sadie dares not suffer without him, but to live on), and from a new unrealistic position - as a cool and strong-willed rebel leader, captain of a spaceship and generally a smart calm leader. I consider these new grins that are being introduced into this character to be a dangerous fairy tale. we must learn to recognize that there are narcissistic, incorrigible, destructive personalities, and we should not try to justify them with a complex mental organization. SU created such a character for us, but they began to introduce a dangerous myth that he was correcting himself, capable of empathy, and in general, DEEP INSIDE there was nothing like that dude. in real life, this does not work, and we cannot invent for narcissus those traits that, due to his mental structure, he simply does not have.
it seems to me that one of the creators-screenwriters (not the fact that it was Sugar) had a long experience of interacting with such a person, but he or she is still trying to justify this person or find something good in him. through the comprehension of this experience, new, major and unrealistic facets of Lars appear. and it's time to finally admit that there are assholes, and you need to stay away from them, not hoping for their magical correction under the influence of circumstances or love-care-understanding
@Coldie_Tzevich: I don't see anything wrong with hope, if you don't believe a person, you can not communicate with him, but it's stupid to give up on him. You seem to be trying to justify your attitude towards someone as shit by saying that there are people who are flawed by nature. It's just a kind of attempt to bless yourself to be a bitch)
@cartmanazi: As it is, there is nothing wrong with continuing to communicate with a person who wipes his feet on you because of the empty hope that maybe he has something else inside besides rot.
