@dicktant: In this timeline, it's clear that they won't kill him, because it's all already happened. You can only change the future by sending something to the past (messages, people) thereby creating a new line (either it is not created, but simply the "acting" one is shifted (where the Ocarin is acting)). On this line, the professor is alive and that's it, there will be no paradox.

@Caramale: If you take last season, the professor blew up with Mayusha's metal toy, and everything got better. If they had tried to kill the professor this time, his younger version, things might have changed too.

@Mahasamatman: Personally, I had no doubts about him at all. More suspicious was a woman who had been with him a couple of times, a professor or whoever she was, I don't remember (not Maho). I was constantly thinking about her, but not about Leskinen.

From the very beginning, this professor looked suspicious. When they said that someone from America was looking for Kagari, when he said that if Kurisu fell in love with Okabe, they would be able to learn something new... There were still moments, and in general I never liked him.
