And even moments not exclusively related to wangxiang; Wuxian's jump to save Wangji instead of a really tense moment in the novel and the very killing of a turtle almost at the snap of his fingers instead of six hours of battle were very distorted. Considering the number of filler moments and details in the entire donghua, which can be safely either removed or shortened, cutting out moments in this flashback is downright spitting into the soul of the author and the original story. In general, it's sad, and doubly sad because the picture is more than pleasant, and if the studio and the screenwriters had tried better, donghua would have turned out incredible, but alas.
