@AmirSuyendykov: there was an announcement for a movie or sequel at the end (sort of), and they didn't finish it) And so they say goodbye after each arch.
watching the last seasons of gintama was hard emotionally, just some kind of meat grinder. It's even harder to wait for the release of the next movie/season when you know exactly what's going to be there and how it's going to end.
In principle, it would be possible to add the final episodes: a full-length film and two prequel episodes. The prequels don't really give anything new (but funny), and the full-length is one solid dumb action, alas. Weakly. It is understandable - it is impossible to surpass the true ending (the second full-length film), just as it is impossible to close the story in an hour with pennies, which has grown from a parody of everything and everything to a completely self-sufficient and the best (in my opinion) anime. Anyway, I was glad to spend some more time in the company of these jerks, who are better and dumber than Futurama, and even then not always.
All the dramatic series of the last arches somehow distracted me from the fact that this is Gintama, and of course there will be a classically ridiculous end %))) I haven't watched the final film yet (although I couldn't avoid spoilers altogether, of course), but I still hope that by some miracle in the future I will see on air again instead of dead next to the title %)) I started watching Gintama about 15 years ago, then I gave it up during another hiatus, and now, when the world around me seems to make less sense every day, I suddenly started to review and watch it - and it was the best decision I could make, because these stories and these characters were incredibly funny, and they were very supportive and gave me hope. A delightful balance between incredibly ridiculous comedy series and amazing serious arcs, surprisingly well-written a variety of characters, wonderful parodies and breakthroughs of the fourth wall - if it were possible to choose one thing on mayshow that would get more than five stars, I would probably choose Gintama %)
Well, I've been watching Gintama since April, sometimes binge-watching 10 episodes a day, sometimes interrupting for several weeks, and I even specifically postponed watching the final arch because I didn't want to part with the story, to which I was very attached. This anime gave me the necessary support, when I really started to need it, difficult times in my life and in the world outside – you won't find much reason to laugh, but with Gintama it became much easier. Yoruzuya has become like a family, All the characters respond in their own way in the end.
I'm not saying goodbye yet (there's still a full-length film ahead), although I rarely review anything. I decided to finish it together with 2022
P.S. I hope all my friends (guys, it was hard for me not to discuss it with anyone) to whom I advised to watch Gintama someday they will still watch it, because my sense of humor has deformed a little, + after watching all the anime, you can learn quite a few Japanese swear words, ahaha))..But what about the gorgeous seiyu
It happened, I've been watching gintama since 2012 (2011?) I was a year old when I just started studying at the university, now I'm 29. I dropped it several times, looked for the moment where I stopped, and looked again. I didn't like serious arches before, and I looked at them as skeptically as possible, and at double speed. But I watched the last 3 in one gulp (The Murder of the Shogun, the Battle of Rakuyyo, the Silver Soul) very much, I did not rewind or skip anything. The only thing that I pinched something related to Gintama is cinematic full-length films, they looked too big-eyed and unusual, and as for me, it is not necessary to film anime with such a great cultural influence. A couple of years ago, I promised myself that I would not watch the finished anime series, I would only watch the Gintama, and I did not regret it.
If someone is reading this who has not looked at everything yet and doubts whether it is worth it, the answer is yes, it is worth it. If you started watching it and something got you hooked on it, then keep going, because that something won't let you go. Whether it's brand humor, characters, arcs or something else. There will be a lot of emotions, a lot of life situations and wisdom. This anime will definitely leave a mark on your soul, and you will always remember it.
In principle, this can be the end, I think I don't need another such long anime, except for those that are actively coming out now (Chainsaw, and I hope they will continue Berserk). This can be marked as growing up. Good luck to everyone, it was nice to watch and discuss Gintama 👋 👋 👋
And so they say goodbye after each arch.
