After the last rather strong series, this one seemed like a complete failure. Futile attempts to squeeze tears out of the viewer. The graphon is disgusting.
Well, no one expected anything from this series, but it turned out well!!! Yes, it looks like everything and at once series about mysticism! Yes, a teen drama! Yes, some actions are simple .....! But this is purely the first season of The Vampire Diaries. AND HOW I LIKE IT! It's like coming home
@crazyhuman: that's right. like the first season of TVD. even the constant throwing of nostalgia at us in the form of the inscription Stefan Salvatore in the library, the mention of Bennet witches, and other things covered us with their charm.
I have no idea what the series reminded someone of MO so much, because well, it doesn't look like shit. The same good old spirit of the first season of the Diaries holds. And yes, the series is not as strong as the previous one, but:
a) revealed a little unfamiliar characters to us, which is important and useful. Raphael no longer seems so faded and unnecessary, M.G. is no longer a cute carefree guy who is a fan of Lizzie, but in the future a cruel ripper (who knows, maybe Stephie the ripper will envy one day). This vampire-jock is also obviously beginning to understand the sides of vampirism, the possible consequences and how, perhaps, he directed a friend to the crooked path of dismemberment. Such series are necessary. b) Plec said that we would find out about the fate of Klaus - Plec did not deceive. Yes, the answer is ambiguous, but if we discard the possible lies of the necromancer, then everything is quite sad (however, like the whole life of the ancient one).
I liked the inserts at the beginning and end with the voiced letter to Klaus. At the end at the cemetery, when Hope turned around from that pile of letters- it was the perfect moment for Nick's ghost to flash, by the way, that would be cool. Well, if the series lasts for several seasons, I think they will be able to talk Joseph for at least five minutes under the finale, let the father and daughter find peace in each other. And a good result for the whole universe will turn out. However, we'll wait and see.
There were no Zeltsman sisters, but, imho, they would have been superfluous in this series. But it was nice to see the locations of New Orleans.
@dggravity: in the finale, a man in front of a computer in black gloves, in a black hoodie, his face is not shown. Also a photo with a reference to the next / previous episodes. I don't even know where you could see a reference to MO.
Thanks for New Orleans ♥ Hope sent Lenden just in time, and since the wayward curly is in trouble, maybe they'll show us another city? * dreams* After the phrase that the library is named after Stefan, I wanted more references to the brothers. Considering that Elena has a clinic in the city, they live in MF. At least they'd say something about them out of the corner of their eye...
@KaterinaVeruna: I think they won't remember about this clinic. Maybe they hoped to persuade Dobrev and Somerhalder, but not in a rollback. Therefore, the sign of the clinic was shown only in the Ancient Ones.
@SvetlanaNikitina: even if they have heard, they no longer remember, because he is one of those creatures that everyone in the world has forgotten about. Watch the series more carefully.
@SvetlanaNikitina: OMG! They don't remember him because someone erased them all from existence, not because they stupidly forgot. This was revealed in the dryad series and is now mentioned from time to time, including in this series.
Yes, it really was kind of uncomfortable as the necromancer said you have a strong vampire and she went to that Negro friend, I wonder if it turns out that he is stronger than her as vampirism!?
And yes, it would be nice to see Klaus at the cemetery for 5 seconds, and when the knocks went walking shoes in saschnania, it seemed to me that Klaus would come up now and help her
Yes, I agree with the former person in the comments, why not call someone from the ancients and ask about the necromancer!?
And it is unclear whether he told the truth about his father in the end or not
And they resurrected the girl, too, I was interested in the staff, I thought something from the vampire diaries or the primordial ones would come in, I thought Elena, but she's still alive, then I thought Bonnie, but I don't remember if she survived the last season of the vampire diaries or not, who remembers exactly unsubscribe
And yes, the necromancer turned out to be not such a fool as he turned out to be at first glance at the end of the last series
@vk728323: Boni is alive. In the last episode, it was mentioned that she helped find the druid. Besides, it was Boney who woke Elena up from her sleep.
@vk728323: Hope is not a vampire. And to show someone from the DV or the Ancients, in addition to the desire of the authors, you also need the desire of the actors, which is clearly not there.
I liked the series, though, I didn't have enough sisters... The actress who plays Hope, well done, in the first series, in my opinion, was emotionless, by the 7th series she swayed. Of course, someone from the Ancients was not enough, Hope still had relatives, it was possible to call in an emergency. The mention of Klaus pleased me, maybe by the last episode they will show him for a couple of seconds.
I think it's even good that they don't attract anyone particularly from the DV and the Ancients. Otherwise, it would be a series about them again, they would draw all the attention to themselves.
There's one thing I can't understand. If in the last series, judging by the resurrected mother, it could be understood that she could not control herself, that she could be forced to do something against her will, why in this series was the girl released into free swimming?
@Yulenka99: very simple. A distraction. While she controlled herself, she occupied the guy and Alaric. Then, as soon as she was left alone, the Necromancer did a dirty deed - under his control, she stole a knife, took Bennet. disappeared because it is no longer needed. In the last series, the Necromancer took a more aggressive approach, immediately outsmarted everyone.
@Yulenka99: most of all, it is unclear why they hide the knife behind the closet, then in the safe, then carry it with them. Why not put it in one place and cast some kind of spell. And in general, in the ancients, Hope seems to have learned a lot, but here it somehow does not show much.
I went to write a comment and was surprised to find that the very first comment on this series is just my thoughts after watching. I watched all 7 episodes in one gulp. And on the one hand, the nonsense is solid, the script is written terribly, the graphics are lame. And on the other hand, I looked at everything without looking away. In the same way, I watched 5 seasons of Cute Liars. Others, apparently, did not have associations with MO because of it, but what difference does it make 😅👌
Hope's conversations with the Necromancer completely reminded me of "The Silence of the Lambs"?!? I read all the comments, not a single mention... Or am I so old?.. :D
The necromancer somehow looked ridiculous at first with his theatrical overplaying, but it's funny that Hope fucked up on this score) and I, just like Hope, was led to his deceptions about Klaus, waiting for him to appear now (
and I liked this Necromancer. awesome guy. the whole series was waiting for the appearance of Klaus or Hayley, but apparently the actors decided to say goodbye to this trilogy (DV / ancient / heritage). I like Raphael more and more with each episode.
And for some reason this necromancer reminded me of Rumplestiltzen😅 well, at least an interesting Persian, otherwise all the trees, dragons and statues, and here the character is so interesting😏
Casey? Seriously? Why not bring back Klaus, Elijah, or Hayley, for example? In the "Ancients" we were so rubbed about the unconditional love of the family, and when it became possible to bring the Persian back from the dead, they returned someone we hadn't even seen. Disrespect to the universe and the fans of the series. I hope, at least once for the series, the above-listed and living aunts of Hope will be shown.

It was even unusual somehow without them.

I love Hayley for the way she switched to bass, almost growled.

Then In the End, now lovely - Billie Eilish and Khalid🔥
