@GreenSign: The Defender was simply brainwashed qualitatively with this centuries-old confrontation and the obligatory killing of an Immortal. The traditions of the cult are still there. And resurrecting the dead is somehow a so-so solution. But the things he did in the end were enough to clean up for a couple of seasons.

I thought it was a finished project!

Although the ending is overly intriguing, I really thought their plan was to revive the rest of the Immortals and have them finish off this Faisal themselves, or at least that last one..

Ну и вишенка на торте. Надел рубашку -- отфигачил бесмертного, не давая снять. Снял рубашку -- не может 3 секунд устоять на ногах. Зато троих охранников расстрелял одним движением, мальчик с базара, где вообще научился? Даже с кинжалом в руках так и не смог убить несчастного единственного бессмертного, капец. И в итоге, ещё один гениальный план. Рубашки нет, 7 бессмертных, Кемаль мёртв, Зейнеп в отключке, Лейла мертва -- ой, нет, не мертва! Или мертва? Айя-София рушится, а он оборачивается с лицом супергероя, спасшего мир. Был один бессмертный, стало 7. Трое преданных умерли после того, как познакомились с защитником и Зейнеп близка к этому. Да вообще-то Кемаль, узнав Хакана получше, должен был сказать ему: нет, мальчик, не беспокойся, давай-как лучше заделай ребёночка побыстрее, может, у него выйдет, твоё поколение, пожалуй, пропустим, стоял Стамбул всё это время и ещё простоит. Нет же, помог, помощничек.
