I was in the place of this woman in labor. I was saved by the fact that I was used to living with low blood pressure. While I was bleeding, they wanted to take my child out of the ward. Unfortunately, the attitude in state institutions to non-contract women in labor is terrible.
@ElllaDee: I don't know what country you are in (and yet your comment is 3 years old)... but only today I read comments about those who gave birth in the countries of the former Soviet Union, and unfortunately, there are still a lot of unpleasant moments noted. One Russian girl told how an Uzbek woman who was giving birth in the same ward was humiliated in her presence. Another came to Moscow from Kazakhstan and also heard insults about her race in childbirth... And there were hundreds of such comments:-(
@martishka: I'm from Russia, but I agree, the situation has changed today, or maybe they just started talking more about such racial things, I don't know. I was wrong in my comment and this probably exists in every country, unfortunately
A very strong series. Probably even for 2 seasons. The situation that was shown to us is only one of the troubles. And Okafor noticed it well: that the family that was supposed to die survived, and a healthy woman died.
This episode shattered my heart into pieces and brought me to tears... It's very sad when people die simply because of some kind of indifference or medical error, not to mention that there should always be a special approach to pregnant women, because they are very vulnerable, and it doesn't matter what race, religion or material as this woman, everyone needs help and support. It seems to be good that they raise such complex aspects of medicine in the Resident, but when you realize that this story is based on real events and how often this happens in the modern world, then it becomes terribly uncomfortable from such life plots😔
Mdaa, it's scary, creepy, but the fact remains that they have racism, we have absolute indifference in our business! I watched the series and there was a lump in my throat - 3 years ago I myself almost died during an emergency caesarean! Doctors very often devalue people's lives, for some it's just pieces of meat, from which you can also get money. Lying on the operating table already (in attempts for more than 1 hour!, this is hell), at first I heard a lot of details from the nurse, who was clearly unhappy that she was woken up, and the anesthesiologist was unhappy that I was trying to breathe through the fight and could not concentrate and freeze so that he would give an injection, compared me to A dog and asked - What kind of breed am I? So breathe funny!!)) .....Only after the arrival of my doctor, everyone more or less stirred when she said that after the operation to take me to a paid ward! That was the catchphrase.
It's sad (But the story of the shooting is not fully disclosed and these views between the son and father and mother seemed strange, some kind of understatement, or it seems to me already)
After this episode, I fell in love with this series even more. Each episode of this series causes strong emotions, makes you think and change your attitude towards your loved ones, but after watching this series, it becomes even harder to realize that all this is happening in reality...Just great, thanks to all those who took part in this series
To tears. A healthy woman, gave birth to a child and soon the whole family should go home, and now there is a father with two daughters. And all because of neglect, oversight. Everyone scolds doctors here, but it's no better here either. No responsibility for patients.
the series is very emotional, and it's very hard to follow a happy family that is facing the realities of racism. BUT it is not very clear how it was so shot that they hit the heart, leg and back, sometimes it's hard to hit the target at the nearest distance, and then they also got stuck through the car and the bullets just stuck. And the phrase that they tried to shoot someone else sounds ambiguous, because Nick was very close. But the story is still great
The series is great, but I had a question at the moment in the operating room, when the traumatologist's hands were shaking. How long has Bell's hands stopped shaking? Some pills stopped helping him, the second one made him feel not so good, and the operation that another doctor told him about, he never did. Or am I missing something?
I understood that he did everything. And it didn't seem like there was an operation, but some kind of medicine. The doctor then told him that his hands were shaking too, but after that (I don't remember the operation or the medicine), but it helped that Doctor
I can't stand old doctors, they are old school and a lot of people are racist.. Young, up to 30-35 years old, they are easier to relate to the color type of people, because many of them are friends and family. I understand that the older generation has more experience and life path, but you can't divide people into white and black! The 21st century, and people are still doing it, it's very sad. And this negligent attitude towards patients kills at all.. I'm crying.
I still can't figure out what kind of backpack Conrad has. It is in many series of "productplacement", but the brand is not visible; (If anyone knows, share the info
A heartbreak, a monstrous situation in this series. And the documentary footage in the finale is, of course, deadly hard to see, a happy mother with a newborn baby, and to know what happened...
As for Conrad and Nick, I can't understand her at all. Why does she persist so much if she loves. The man you love says he wants to marry you, to see you at home in the evening. And it repels her 🤷🏻♀️
так что сериал не только развлекает, но и обращает внимание на важные проблемы в области медицины.
