This grandfather, unlike the previous one, sacrificed himself for the sake of his grandchildren, and not his grandchildren for himself. A great series.
A charming series, a grandfather who moved from 1958, an interpretation of Cupid's words, finally a new idea with keepers and the like. Damn time travel is beautiful
The series, in fact, gave rise to a new storyline for all subsequent seasons!)) (and this is not a spoiler hd) And Gil McKinney is the charm itself, of course :zz
I liked Sam and Dean's second grandfather more than the first one. Prince Eric from "Once upon a Time in a Fairy Tale" is beautiful :-)
And here's the local version of Abaddon... yeah. Abaddon was more awesome at Torchwood. The austerity regime forces all monsters in the Supernatural to be portrayed as just people, no giant monsters.
@Rainbow_Pie: I'm talking about the father of the Winchester mother, Samuel Campbell. He was in eight episodes. His best appearance was in episode 4x03. Then he was still annoying for almost the entire sixth season (6x01, 6x02, 6x05, 6x07, 6x10, 6x13, 6x16)
Yeah, the funny thing is that a few episodes earlier they saved some strange guy-thief. Who stole something from pensioners. And then they didn't save their relative
I would put it another way, why didn't they call Cas in principle, as soon as they found out about Abaddon, he's a walking Wikipedia, or Crowley at the very least.
@polnalyubvi1: They suspect that something is wrong with Cass after he killed Samandriel. Another question is whether they do not trust him so much that they do not call to heal their own grandfather. Well, or a discrepancy in the plot, because Cas is actually a cheat against any injuries and death, and then somehow it will be completely uninteresting.
Perhaps Misha was busy with something because he was not in the last episode, so there is such a hole in the plot. After all, real people are filmed no matter how)
Grandfather is very charming and so noble, I really liked him. It is a pity that he died, as well as John, who will never know the truth ( Now it is clear why Cupid then uttered these words. Everything happened as planned. It is strange that neither angels nor demons are aware of these matters at all.
Of course, I love the series about time travel and relatives of the Winchesters, and this series is certainly good, but I don't understand why there was no Cas in it. After all, when your relative from the past bursts in on you with a Knight of Hell on his tail, in my opinion, the most obvious thing is to call the feathered one. Abaddon is beautiful, that's the kind of charismatic villains I love, not that there's some kind of Monster Mother.
I'm terribly sorry for Henry, although on the other hand, everything was supposed to end this way, because going back to your time is a big risk to change history
I love time travel. Their grandfather is a cool person. It was interesting to find out about this organization, to which he belonged, and the whole Winchester family had to. It's unclear, of course, why Dean was freaking out. Henry did not leave John, it so happened that he died and could not return to him. Their dad, John, did the same thing. He was constantly traveling on business. Well, it doesn't matter. Interestingly, as Sam said, it became clearer why their parents were brought together. They have such a powerful bloodline. It's a pity Castiel wasn't in this episode. It would be interesting to see their interaction with Henry too.
A little more and the series will become like "Doctor Who" with these time travel XD In general, very strongly, the grandfather of the brothers, the mysterious Enlightened Ones (a kind of local bottling SCP Fund), and Abbadon, who looks like a tougher threat than ordinary demons.
A very good series. Henry and Abaddon are very interesting characters. It was great to learn a little more about the brothers' family and a little bit about John's childhood. It turns out that John and his family lived in Illinois as a child. But Sam buried Dean's body after season 3 also in Illinois, although the events of 3.16 were in Indiana. I wonder if Adam Glass did this intentionally, how to show the reason why Sam chose that place or just a coincidence?
I really understand. why Dean was acting like this towards Henry. Dean still has strong abandonment issues after Purgatory. Sam dumped him. Cas first ran away without explanation, and then abandoned Dean again when he didn't want to leave Purgatory. Dean is just projecting his situations onto Henry./John, because he understands very well how John felt as a child when Henry did not return. This is very realistic and shows how deeply Dean was hurt by this situation. Great respect to Adam Glass for that.
A wonderful trick with a bullet and a decapitation. SmartDean is always a pleasure :)
I understand that they had to kill Henry so as not to confuse things with time, but I would not mind leaving him to Hot a little longer, he would be an interesting addition at least for a while.
@Nick24: if I remember correctly, I didn't really like the ending of this series and in the future a series with the death of another character, because they didn't even try to contact Cas, like "We can't know, the dead should be dead, but this is family / relatives / dear friend, please help." Or the discussion "Let's try to call Cas" - "Don't, it won't help anyway."
@Gevorg: If you look for an in-universe answer, I think they saw that Cas is now under someone's influence and therefore did not try to contact him. I think I can guess which other character you're talking about. But there, by the way, there is a completely logical explanation why there was no point in contacting Cass. It's just that one of the characters should have voiced this reason out loud before that. Or at least after.
@13freiheit: I agree 100% about Henry. He is my favorite relative of the brothers. It's sad that when you manage to create an interesting character, with some layers, choose a good actor for the role, and so little time. And indeed the end is sad. I was particularly impressed by Henry's phrase: "You're also Winchesters. As long as we're alive, there's always hope". It's hard to explain why, but it left some kind of heavy feeling.
Winchesters are forced to sacrifice themselves for the sake of others, for the sake of that very hope, when they themselves often have one spoon for two. Make difficult decisions that are often misunderstood and condemned by others. To know about everything and somehow not to go crazy… There can be no question of personal happiness for each of them, starting from their grandfather… Dean said it right, there are only dead people on their family tree; therefore, this phrase is hard to take, it hits right on the spot
@13freiheit: Of course, everything is extremely difficult with hope. I won't even mention personal happiness. A very depressing factor, IMHO, is that every time they solve a problem, another even bigger one is immediately created, or even more than one. There is no break to recover from what happened and somehow recover. I mean, mentally recover. As a result, there is some kind of impenetrable darkness that has no end. And where in this, one wonders, to look for hope? :(
- Where is she from? - And where are you from? - She's from hell. I'm from a Normal in Illinois. From the 58th. - Yes, laadnooo....What is true??)) Dude travels through time through closets in motels, survived🤣🤣🤣 This Grandpa Henry is better than Samuel. At least he's for the grandchildren, not against them. And it turns out that John's family was also supposed to be connected with the mystical?! Were they supposed to be the guardians of knowledge? Wow, that's a twist.
@melnichenko09: is this really a comment on this particular episode? I didn't see any semblance of a house here... I went to look further, maybe you got a little confused
cool episode)

And the guys' grandfather is cool, it's just a pity that he was immediately cut down.
Dude travels through time through motel closets! We have lived!"
Now it is clear why Cupid then uttered these words. Everything happened as planned. It is strange that neither angels nor demons are aware of these matters at all.
Everything is fine in this series.
Gorgeous Abaddon. The magnificent Henry, who cares about his family. A true Hard Drive.

Episode 10/10 :(

Please remind me who killed Samuel's grandfather, otherwise my memory lapses started from the number of episodes 😁
