He shaved it off well, of course) pleased me. This Miss Heywood is incredibly annoying.
I'm only watching because of Esther. You empathize with her, you worry about her, you like her, and you just want to wish her happiness. It's blunt, of course, but not annoying.
But GG is an idiot, my God, who is she to present something to a man to whom you are nobody? Already. Go teach an architect how to live a fool. She's messed up, so she's fucking this poor guy's brains out without a twinge of conscience. Ugh such.

I feel like this mysterious lady Lady Susan is here for a reason. It reminds me of a fairy godmother from fairy tales. ;-)

I hope that Edward will finally achieve the love of his life, Eliza.Such a high-society gentleman deserves a sleek, sophisticated lady.

And the simpleton Charlotte let the architect give birth to children.

By the end of episode 6, absolutely all the characters annoy me – and how well it all started!
Charlotte is endlessly grimacing, has not heard at all about the sequence of actions (or brains), and blurts out absolutely discreditable details about everyone and everything just to the first comers. Sydney suddenly turned from a more or less intelligent man into some kind of fairy godmother who apologizes to everyone, gives wise advice and throws money right and left. Tom is completely detached from reality (but Mary doesn't hate it, by the way, she just had bad luck with her husband). Georgiana was in a terrible situation, but otherwise-God, what a selfish, arrogant hysterical girl.
I'm generally silent about the "heirs" company - it's clear from the very beginning that my brother is an asshole, Clara aroused sympathy and interest with her story and determination, but now she has also slipped into something unpleasant, smug and malicious, and Esther.. I really feel sorry for her. She should have run away from this brother, even to Babbington-at least he respects her.
In short, longing.
I'm going to review Pride and Prejudice, maybe it'll feel better.

One of the advantages is the beautiful scenery and costumes. How did they learn how to dance for the ball before? Here the dancing show is relaxing - so many movements))

With each episode, I repudiate the series from Austen's novels. I look at it as a free improvisation.

The moment when you expect witty dialogues and word mastery, and you get this:

Somehow I don't feel the chemistry between Charlotte and Sydney, for the life of me.
In this series, the writers have slipped into some very formulaic plot twists: when Sidney appears out of nowhere at the last moment (just passing by in a remote alley) and saves Charlotte, when Georgiana is abducted, when Charlotte says "he's so closed, ah ah", and it turns out that it's all for a REASON, and He's had his heart broken in the past when Sydney starts saying things like "you're the one I want to dance with," "you're the best woman in this room," etc. Very predictable and cringe-worthy

In general, I'm rooting for the architect, but according to all the laws of the genre, we should expect the most predictable end, of course.

For me, this series is more watchable than Bridgerton.
I don't understand the claims about not conforming to the Jane Austen canon. If you don't like it so much, why keep torturing yourself and watching? Let it go, as they say.

Oh, come on. The series is simple, uncomplicated, and very enjoyable to watch. The actress who plays Charlotte is sooooo cute. Such a simple, pretty girl. I really like her grimaces and emotions.

As much as I like the series overall, unfortunately, I don't see any chemistry between Charlotte and Sydney at all:(

That's it, it's out of the question. The main character is completely, completely and irrevocably dumb. Even in a modern timeline, such an outpouring of such sensitive information would literally look strange to the first comer, and even here the game is incredible.

So to bring down a girl who has just realized her infatuation from heaven!
The picture of Cindy cooing sweetly with his ex-love in front of Charlotte is terrible in itself, so Tom also added fuel to the fire by saying that "they still have a chance" and "how Cindy shines in front of this lady."

God, I watched this episode because I really love Bridgetons and was looking for something similar + the plot seemed to interest me, but the more I watch it, the more I hate GG, both as a character and as an actress acting out with these constant grimaces and some kind of unnatural facial expressions, and what the stylists did to her for this ball only added fuel to fire, it's very interesting to find out the denouement, but how hard it is to look further because of GG
