That is, the action of the series goes on for 5-10 years (it is difficult to catch these intervals). And you can see how the government changes people.
@ngjocker: The years of action are indicated there, there were inscriptions at the bottom of the screen "Lakhtinsk July, 2000" at the beginning of the 1st series, "Lakhtinsk June, 2006" at the end of the 5th series and "Lakhtinsk 2010" at the end of the 8th series. However, at the moment when the victim came to her senses and Nikolai and Mikhail came to her, she thought about Misha. She looked at him all the time and said she didn't remember anything, thought she just found out and was afraid because he was from the police. It's a pity that in 2000 there was still no genetic examination, when Jeanne accidentally pointed at him, but she hit the nail on the head.
As the years passed, Sveta turned from a stupid investigator, who did not even send the clothes of victims and suspects for examination, into a stupid prosecutor, who denied the maniac to the last. It's just not clear why. Is it really better to imprison the innocent than to find the real criminal and put him away so that there are no more victims?

But then she went over herself so as not to insist on Bilan's alibi, even though she knew she was right, and he killed only one girl. After that, of course, her career went up, but, in my opinion, her life was ruined, and this career did not bring her happiness. I liked it, I looked at it in one go.
