Почему жизненное предназначение ГГ должен сообщить кто-то другой, а не он сам должен решить, каков его путь? Если он в принципе не верит в бога, то почему с таким остервенением выполняет его задания? Это было бы нормально, если бы он был легкоуправляемым подростком-бездельником, но взрослый мужик, занимающийся такой ерундой, - нонсенс.
И девочка, дочь Джой, такая глупая, что поверила первой же показанной ей фотке и информации о прадеде, не подкрепленной никакими документами или фактами. То есть прадеда ей достаточно, а кто ее мать и отец - совсем не интересно?
Нет, ну неувязок и притянутости становится все больше, вы что же, не видите?
Хорошей идее не хватило талантливых авторов/сценаристов, да и ГГ, если честно, не тянет что-то. Харизмы не хватает. Впихнули всех подряд ради расовой репрезентативности и разнообразия, а итог не впечатлил. Актеры какие-то амебные по большей части. Более-менее смотрятся только второстепенные - папка-священник, непонятная мамаша Кары, злой гений Саймон Хейс.
Сейчас сериал напоминает болото, не знаю, как сценаристы намерены выбираться из него.

They say we have 2 hours before the gallery opens, they agreed to meet at Miles's and go together from there (wtf?) during this time, Cara managed to go somewhere to meet with her mother (not for 5 minutes), then return to the office to Rakesh, herself Miles is going to go somewhere else. A madhouse.
After the series, Miles is extremely passive aggressive (Joy is of course short-tempered, but Miles is constantly trying to command). In general, their persistent clinginess to Joy is annoying - if I were her, I would also try to distance myself from such an obsession.
That is, it seems to be going well, but this season everything is somehow too much.
In the last episode, Miles was confused by the words that God's account gave him the meaning of life. It sounds honestly quite sad, that is, he has nothing interesting in his life besides this (well, another podcast, but I understand he was pretty sad before the stories about the acc. God).
In general, the second season is clearly written by other screenwriters, and if the same, then they do it on the dump...
It's good that the series is closed, you don't have to worry about watching many seasons :)
It was right up to tears how big Joy was and how painful it was for Joy's mother.
The moment when Miles asked Raquel and Kara to leave the exhibition and come down by the bus was mega dumb. We can say that Kara was needed there to tell about the surf club, but I'm sure that the parents or the girl would have been able to Google the result themselves.
Joy didn't say goodbye to Kara when she left, but she was still drinking her cocktail, like waiting for Miles to come back after saying goodbye. As if it didn't work out for them))
