How the wind is cruel,.... Waiting for the sequel. I postponed ongoinging myself, but now I watched the whole season without delay. Now we have to be patient again.
Ah, we started opening the chapter about Wataya. Probably, the next season will be about their formation as a team. And what about Sneezing? Aah, kininarimasu
I'm still sneezing with Aruta... (but the scene with Taichi was also beautiful) Oh, I really hope that there will be a sequel - it's been a long time since I've been so attached to the characters, and to ALL of THEM
Well, who ends up like that?! You can't, you can't do that... it's a lovely series filled with great love for Karuta, perseverance and light sadness, but this season has somehow become quite painful. I really hope that the next season won't be in six years! Please... P.S. Taichi is one of the best roles of Miyano Mamoru; my heart just squeezed, and it hurt so much with almost every monologue, just wow, thank you.
I'm really looking forward to the sequel! And indeed, the choice between Arata and Taichi is very difficult, I think both for Chihaya and for us viewers. Both characters are strong, complex and interesting.
On the one hand, Arata is the first childhood love, a kind of ideal that led Chihaya to her dream. However, they didn't communicate for a long time when Arata moved in. Therefore, I had a feeling that there were more romanticized memories and feelings from Chihaya's childhood to Arata, which sometimes overshadowed what was nearby. Behind them, she did not always notice the growth and development of Taichi, who was always by her side. In the end, we see that even Arata saw Taichi as a kind of "threat", and not just as a guy, but as a karuta player.
On the other hand, Taichi, whose growth we have seen with every episode, and not only as a karate player, but also as a person. He was able to overcome that fear in childhood when Arata called him a coward. After all, Taichi was always by Chihaya's side and supported her, but the "cowardice" that he struggled with until the last episodes of this season apparently prevented him from possibly being ahead of Arata, at least in relation to Ayasa. Or if he had confessed earlier, Ayasa would have noticed his special attitude towards her more. Perhaps I would like Chihaya to stay with him after all, because of all his efforts.
But perhaps if there is a next season, and Arata is revealed to us more, and not just as the "idol" of Ayasa's childhood, but his side of personality, as we saw with Taichi, then the picture may well change!
It hurts that anime is rarely filmed until the end of the story - this is the business of the Japanese anime industry 😭 I ran to read manga, but without this picture and especially sounds, is it possible to fully feel the beauty of karuta 💔
