Is that why from the very beginning there was a feeling that Malcolm was playing with the brains of this very therapist? Although it is clear why, they analyzed each other actively... Although it is unclear why the therapist did not understand this :)

- So, you came uninvited. Do you do this often? You climb where you are not needed.
- yes.
- Oh, yeah.
- One hundred percent.
- I am always needed, but I am not always welcome.

An interesting series, by the way. The trick with time and retrospect is successful. Of course, the psychologist got caught because he considered himself smarter. And so an interesting duel of two smart guys came out.

I really thought he had arranged shock therapy for himself there, but thank you for remembering about the pills. And his answer to Gil's question at the end of the episode "I don't know"... I hope the rest will do him good.
.
Poor Malcolm. He just didn't deserve all this. To be tormented all his life by the realization that his father is a serial killer, so then to find out that he could have been among the victims... I am glad at least the fact that in the end he realized he was not a victim, his father eventually changed his mind about killing him (and not the fact that he was going to, maybe Watkins lied to him).
.
P.S. Special thanks for Malcolm in a sweater😍

And the moment when Jessica conducted an "interview" with deprogrammers. The whole series was on top, but from that moment I was just blown away.
Jessica: “She gave that boy everything she had, and he joins a cult? I mean, how hard is it to accept a trust fund, settle down and pop out a few grandchildren?”
Malcolm: * internal scream*

An interestingly constructed series shows Malcolm's degradation, and then at the end everything falls into place

An excellent duel of educated men turned out! Malcolm still turned out to be more cunning, allowed the opponent to relax, feeling like a "winner")

By the middle of the series, I was waiting for Malcolm to laugh maniacally, dress up in a catchy supervillain costume and have to call Batman, so the story resembled some episode of Gotham, the twist turned out cool, although for the conclusion "you're not okay, but you know you're not okay, so that's it in order" I want, of course, to give in the teeth %)

So few comments, but such a cool series.
It was very exciting to follow the monologue of Malcolm and the psychiatrist.
I'm glad Malcolm finally said out loud that his father wanted to kill him.

I started watching the series for the background because of Shin and my love for stories about serial killers, but I was indifferent to Payne (I only knew him from his role in Skins, the first season, the episode about Effie, he is young, cute, in a green jacket with a pink scarf, plays an asshole). And what is the result? Some series are so fascinating that you can't look at the background anymore, you want to focus your attention entirely. Shin is beautiful, but Payne also pleases: Malcolm's character himself and his hypnotic eyes (and in general, his stubble paints him)

Mother and sister are annoying, of course, but not so much) Although the mother's manner of breaking into an apartment with adult children without permission harms the psyche no less than the killer daddy, it seems to me))

And yes, Idris is my love forever))
- Seven abdominal stitches and a metacarpal fracture, and you are still beautiful!

A good series, really, where are the comments? For once, the non-linear narrative and the investigation itself are given inside the dialogue, which turns out to be part of the investigation in the end... Plus, I liked the camerawork, interrogations and alternating replicas of the main character's team and the psychiatrist are very dynamic.
Mom of course... I don't know how the hero takes it out at all, to be honest)

With each episode I fall more and more in love with the Surgeon, with Malcolm and, of course, with Idris
