The whole series is in suspense.
I expected a better product from the same people who made a pretty high-quality "9-1-1".

I have some ideas. It's just that in the series they overdo it with fiction and talk a lot. Very. They talk a lot. They talk about all sorts of stuff and it doesn't matter if it's appropriate at the nth moment in time.
On the same trips, they don't even show who from the team is doing what. The camera immediately centers on the captain and stays on him.
2) Schizophrenia can actually be treated forcibly. If she had been given pills at the clinic for a while, then her mind would have become more adequate and she could have lived at home, just constantly taking medications that stop the symptoms. And leaving her in a tent, relying on the fact that she has not harmed herself in 3 years, is stupid - because she can kill someone under another attack. And then this whole mi-mi situation won't be so cute anymore.
3) And the return of the boy back to the part is very vanilla. They have not bad cases and stories, but they still do not reach the original with that drama and high-quality acting.
But everyone decides for himself whether to stick to the plot or just enjoy the picture and the actors.
I find fault with the plot, because it's important to me whether I'm watching fiction or a more or less truthful picture about firefighters. (I can't turn a blind eye to everything) There are a lot of pretentious and generally strange moments that can be played more interesting than the screenwriters do. Basic things can be learned (everything is publicly available) before writing a script.

I thought they were trying to shoot a serious series here, since even the color scheme is so gloomy from the start.
The captain's son did not leave the rescuers in vain. He's so big, but he didn't think of lifting his aunt above the water.
As for the series, I read so many bad reviews that expectations were greatly underestimated. And it turned out very well, even though it is inferior to the original 911.
We will wait for the sequel, I am sure season 2 will be at a higher level. :)
They also introduced a bunch of characters, began to reveal them a little and safely abandoned this case. And the main more or less developed story arcs have gone to an incomprehensible steppe. TiKey didn't know what he wanted all season, then suddenly at the end of the series he was still illuminated and all the problems were solved. The arch of Liv Tyler's character... "well, let's leave the schizophrenic sister/daughter homeless and not send her for treatment, because we love her!" *facepalm*
But if you think with your head, I don't know what to do here. The cast can be described as a "wagon of nounames and Liv Tyler", the game is mediocre for everyone, somewhere they are underplayed, somewhere they are very overplayed. There are a lot of questions about physics and plausibility, just a lot. That's the only way they can get in touch with the ISS, then the buses spring off during an accident, then they save everyone who got into a complete ass in five seconds and without consequences.
There is not enough drama, there is not enough realism, although the creators are the same, which is amazing. The series was sculpted on the knee, apparently trying to leave at the expense of the original 9-1-1. Some commentators ask not to compare the spin-off with the original, but how is that possible? One name, one conditions, copies of the original Persians and the actions taking place. Parallels have already been drawn before me, I will not repeat myself.
They explained about the cliché of the Persians already in the very first episode, they say, we need to slap here purely for tolerance and please everyone, here's a mannered gay man, here's a white guy with problems, a Muslim woman here just because she's a Muslim, not because she's a fucking lifeguard and will pull everyone out of the next world just like that.
I'm not even talking about the fact that the series is slick and slick for the devil knows who - the picture is fast, problems are solved at once, the effects are done to fuck off, templates instead of phrases and no interaction. From the category of "we made everything that was and made it kind of perfect." In the original, the rescue was delayed for almost the entire series, there were lapping between the team, drive, support, adrenaline, and here - thirty minutes of chatter between the immediately friendly Persians, five minutes for the screensavers of the call center negotiations and five minutes of rescue. There was an interesting line with Iris, but that one was fucked up too.
This "quality" does not suit me, thanks for your efforts and drop. Buttercup is the coolest of all.
It's not bad and you can look at it once if you are busy with something else in parallel
I personally watched it partially on rewind, it was kind of boring for me. 🤷♀️ I just expected a serious series like Chicago Firefighters or the same 911, but it turned out to be something like "scorpio" where everything is quick and easy and the situations are fantastical

А еще сериал напоминает о том, что не все герои носят плащи =)
Ну и решение Мишель в отношении сестры это дикий фэйспалм. Але блин, ты же сама врач, ну как так то?
В целом, впечатление от первого сезона положительные. История сестры Лив Тайлер не банальная и довольно интересная.
Моя оценка 2,5 из 5 этому сезону.
