So the father proved himself....he showed Geun Won his inhumanity back in that chicken episode, repeatedly showing everyone in public what an idiot his son was, ridiculed him, despised him...Did anyone else doubt that he didn't care about his own son, that he would renounce him for the sake of business??A very obvious twist.It's mean and disgusting, even for such an old, insensitive blockhead.

Poor Se Roy, of course, justice still won't prevail...But damn, I feel so sorry for Geun Won in this episode....

I don't feel sorry for Geun Won at all. Yes, his father's act is mean and low, but Geun Won has a unique opportunity to take responsibility for what he did, reconsider his beliefs, and maybe become a better person.

Because in all his 30 years, he has never once taken responsibility for his actions. All the excuses above, "that he had no other choice, he grew up in such an environment, his father did not give him ..." - this is another removal of responsibility from himself and shifting it to circumstances and other people.

The main character shows that a person is free to choose what to do, even when your father does things differently. And if your actions violate the law, then he is ready to be justly punished for his actions, rather than hiding behind other people's backs and blaming the situation.
Remember his cellmate, who thought his life was over. He had already fallen into crime and could do nothing more, "he had no other choice"... and while he had been doing something for 10 years, he had been working and was able to achieve something, although his chances tended to zero.

I love Ahn Bohen, but I didn't get into his role here at all. Geunwon doesn't arouse even a drop of interest - he's incredibly dumb, he pretends to be God knows what, and one could say that his vile character is the fault of his dead dad, but GinSu seems to have the same father. I absolutely do not understand the mass pity for GeuNwon - he got absolutely what he deserved. The fact that in the past he might have given up on his own does not negate the fact that if he is capable of feeling remorse, he would not have behaved like a creature. He is absolutely not taught by life, he can look at SUA with sad eyes, and a minute later come into a Sweet night "begging" to fuck him with a bat.
For me, there is very little action to this series. I almost fell asleep during the speech, during the dialogue in court - damn, can I at least shorten these stupid pauses a little? I said half a sentence and hung for half a minute. Enrages.

The good moments for the episode are only at the beginning with ISO's defense and Saroi's communication with Minchon. I take away my distrust, this woman is cool.
