it is very similar in spirit to the killing, and the actual plot is similar. I like it!

Tennant is just oaaaaaaaaaaaa
How can you get so used to the role and be so epic-handsome? :D
And the series has already dragged on so much that I don't want to stop. I wonder how the father is involved here, because he couldn't have killed his son, it would be too easy to tell us about it already in episode 2..

There are more and more suspects, and it feels like everyone has their own secrets. Personally, so far I have only an intuitive suspicion that for some reason the priest seems somehow muddy.

The colors are thickening, you don't even know who is involved in Danny's murder. No matter how clearly it was hinted that Danny's friend was connected with this case, he definitely knows something: 7 messages on the phone, files on the computer - he cleaned everything. The skateboard is in the cottage on Briar Cliff in the lower compartment of the chiffonier, right, Danny. Broadchurch is not that big, so any resident who knows the boy in the slightest can fall under suspicion. The interrogation of Mr. Connelly by Alec and Ellie also did not go unnoticed. Only Alec's confusion at the mention of the pendant and his evasion of Ellie's answer with the question of what it's worth.

How beautifully shot! I'm watching and enjoying, a real immersion in this city. It is not very clear why it was necessary to insert a telephone master into this series; why did they immediately believe him and send him to be interrogated? A little bit of twinpix in the British countryside
In general, a lot of things happened in this series. Miller's son is very worried (+ a shot of her going to sleep in his bed). The priest, whom we saw briefly in the first episode, learns very important news and leads the service (why was the scene with the grandmother needed??). It was amazing, of course, how everyone recognized Beth at the supermarket and stared at her. Although it was probably specially condensed and concentrated for the audience (how cool it was filmed). We also find out that a skateboard exists and a suspicious old woman has it (a shot of Tennant walking to her house 5+). But I do not believe either in her guilt or in the guilt of my father, although we are being strenuously forced to believe this for the second series. Yes, he doesn't worry much (but we don't see his soul, of course), except for the moment when he breaks out at the priest. It seems to me that everything is more complicated here, and it is connected not only with him and the friend of the murdered boy
The second series did not spoil the impression of the first, told a lot of things, gave rise to new storylines and did not even skimp on jokes. So far, I'm very glad that I started watching this series after all!

The boy's father looks disgusting in the last scene... Although it's doubtful that he's involved, it's probably some kind of shameful secret that he's trying to hide.
It's the same with a friend, maybe they discussed something earlier that they would not like to disclose, but it's unlikely it has to do with the murder.
Or maybe I'm wrong.

For some reason, I postponed watching this series for several years. Now I realize how terribly wrong I was. If I could give it 6 stars, I would do it. Incredibly meditative and beautiful, and with each episode the feeling of "immersion" in the story only gets worse.

In my opinion, they absolutely shouldn't have introduced that telepathic guy. It greatly reduces the likelihood.

It's good so far, but I really hope that there won't be any more supernatural elements like this psychic, we're not watching Twin Peaks after all. Still, I want exactly that detective story.
Both father and mother seem to go to the left.

The series is as enveloping as tar. If you make your way through the first series, then the second one already draws you in perfectly, envelops you.
The music is magical, but I knew it back in 2014, when I didn't get it the first time, but I downloaded the soundtrack and listened to it on repeat.
It was shot amazingly beautifully, all these views, all these people.
David... It's beautiful. All these facial expressions, this very obvious Scottish accent, into which he jumps very vividly at times.

Both the visiting journalist and the receptionist at the hotel are very annoying so far. Especially the receptionist. "Can we be quiet about this, I might lose my license." Hello, it's your own fault that you might lose your license. What good administrator in his right mind would find drugs for clients? It's against the rules.

Although I often watch detective stories, I almost never guess who the killer is. According to the first episode (at the very beginning), I thought about my sister's boyfriend (The Gray Worm from "IP"): it was not for nothing that the emphasis was placed on the fact that she was underage, and Danny could see them together. But now it's the strange behavior of his friend, his father (it's clearly a matter of adultery)... The priest is also kind of muddy.

The first episode was not very long, but the second one has already gone well.
Danny's dad is kind of nasty, he smiled so nastily the whole interrogation, brrr.
I hate it when psychics appear in detectives, I hope this person is just with a cuckoo gone, and not really help the investigation in this way.

On the first episode, I didn't cry, like, well, murder and murder, somehow I wasn't much touched, even though I was a child... And in this episode, on the stage with the cereal, she just burst into tears, all the pain of loss is directly felt, the person is no more, there are only things that will always remind you of him 💔

When Miller was sleeping in her son's bed, I thought she would find something there too.

I don't believe in Danny's father's guilt either. He's hiding something else, but definitely not the murder of his son.

No, my father is suspicious, but I doubt he's a murderer. Then it wouldn't be interesting😅
Although, he smiled so nastily when Alec questioned him. So he's obviously hiding something equally vile. I just don't understand why he can't admit it to a detective. It's probably something much worse than a lover. Maybe something illegal?
