Discussion: Season 1, Episode 19 Join the Discussion
59Luz is a great smart girl, she has learned so much, and Lilith (better late than never). A piece of the mask, I think, is not so simple, and this Emperor himself, fulfilling the will of the Titan... Who's who?
We are waiting for the second season of ❤
A titan whose body, or his remains, formed this magical island, literally magical because his body was full of magic and the inhabitants of the island and the island itself too. The heart of this titan is still beating, we see it above the throne.
I ate some very tasty glass.
I wonder what will happen next. Why does Belos need a portal? Will we learn more about the Blythe family?
I'm burning with curiosity and impatience.
Dana and the whole team did a great job.
And the Titans were kicked off the earth and they are the same Titans from Greek mythology, and the beast world is Tartars?
A screenshot from the fourth episode of the first season:
And everyone probably has a wildly interesting question now - where did Ida get a portal to the world of people for the first time?
And when Luz fought almost on equal terms with the emperor - well, this is generally fire!
p.s.: I have a suspicion that the door will not open without a key.:)
"My emperor, you promised to heal my sister.
- And I lied!
Well, just fuck it.
A very strange and crumpled ending. Half of the season consisted of fillers, and only at the very end the emperor was introduced. That is, instead of an epic confrontation with Belos, for which we would have been prepared in advance, something happens quickly in the last episode and ends just as quickly.
The Emperor provoked Lilith into betrayal so that...? What was the point? Luz's friends want to start a riot, but what does the crowd care about Ida? The viewer knows Ida, but for most she is just some kind of criminal, why should they get involved for her? And the rebellion against the emperor ends... Nothing? Did they all just demand that Ida be released and are they listening to the emperor here? Lilith has spent her whole life plowing for her status in the coven, but here in the last 10 minutes, without any doubts and torments, she quits her service. Do the main characters run away home and no one is chasing them?
When I said all this out loud, the ending began to look even more strange in my eyes.
The riot just helped by the fact that the heroes were not persecuted and would let them live in peace. If you try to remove Ida again, people will be unhappy.
Well I do not know. It's not very clear why everyone was happy with everything, and then suddenly the crowd felt sorry for Ida, although apart from a few people she has no connection with the people. And why did the emperor not stop the rebellion, but began to explain himself?
It would be better to leave the last episode as the end of the season.
What seems much more strange is the fact that at first there was supposedly only one place in the coven, and then they chased Ida to take her to this coven. hd Maybe the curse not only reduces her strength, but also gives her something else useful, like the ability to create such doors to the world of people, that's why the Emperor was interested.
Besides, there can't be one place in the coven for life. Sooner or later they will need new souls.
It has always been confusing in such stories "only the only strongest will get into our team." Like, "do you have a budget limited to only one person, or what?". There are also so many magical problems that can arise, why not expand the staff with cool fighters.
And so, yes, It seems that it was the door that the Emperor needed, and not Ida herself, and he began to hunt for her after the appearance of the Loos, because he realized that since the human cub got into this world and is dragging Ida, it means that it was she who brought the man into this world. Well, it was easiest to influence her through her sister.
How do I live to see season 2 now? I don't even have an idea what the Emperor needs on earth. It's kind of banal to seize power. Humans don't have magical powers, so why would he need them? Expand the territory?
About why Ida has the key, maybe she found it? Well, you know something from the series "There is a legend that somewhere in a mysterious cave there is a hidden key that will open a portal to the world of people." For some reason, I think that without the key, the Emperor will not be able to open the portal. It makes sense for him to build a new one, if he could do it earlier, then he needs that key. A small theory was also born that the key can open not only the door to the human world, but also to other worlds too..
As for the Amity line, it's a good idea to keep it for next season. But the writers have been pushing her so hard in recent episodes, it seems that this is not a decision that has been made, but simply, as you said, there was not enough time for Amity here.
In general, it's a good cartoon, but they just didn't have enough episodes to sort everything out this season. I would like the new season to be more elaborated in this regard.
But, it is unlikely that he wants to return to the human world, how such a person can give up power in favor of becoming an "ordinary person" again, maybe he just wants to somehow awaken the Titan and get magic from him for it.
At the end, he says "Unity Day is getting closer" - perhaps a part of the "soul" or something of a Titan - this is the world of people, and you need to combine 2 worlds to awaken it ... 🤔
powerful
Luz speaks her native language so touchingly, every time she feels comfort at the sight of how she promises to tell her mother everything ✨
I'm really looking forward to continuing, thank you Disney for such a good project.
My guess about the Emperor in the review for the last series, that perhaps he himself is from Earth, is even slightly confirmed, since the Emperor's palisman smacks more of some kind of technology. Perhaps he somehow got to the Boiling Islands fifty years ago, but could not return back to the earthly dimension, and then suddenly Luz appears, the first person in a long time and the Emperor realizes that the famous Owl Lady has some kind of portal to Earth. I doubt he just wants to go back there himself, most likely his plan is to bring even more technology to the Boiling Islands, perhaps in order to finally wake up the Titans. In general, this topic with titans reminds me of something from the valley of the winds, where Titans were also something ancient and powerful, so they wanted to get them for war. And there Nausicaa was able to take control of one of the Titans, perhaps Luz will also be able to control the Titans in some way. Because it seems to me that the Emperor has enslaved the Titans rather than speaking on their behalf, and Luz will have to free the Titans from the shackles of the Emperor. In general, if any of this is true, then epic things are waiting for us.
I didn't really like that Luz's friends were useless here at all, yes, they started a crowd, but it didn't lead to anything at all. Amity and the whole plot with her were pushed into the background, as if there wasn't enough time. By the way, where to put another episode, there should have been 20 episodes. I bet it was supposed to be about Amity and Luz. In general, I didn't really like that this line was cut off, as if they were interfering with the main one. I would like a smoother interweaving of the plot.
The emperor decided to restore the portal, by the way, his portal reminded me of the Stargate somehow, I don't know if the reference was intentional. But Luz still has the key, which means the Emperor will surely hunt for our heroes. I understand that he sent a spy to keep an eye on Luz and the company, I suspect that a new student will appear at the school and this will be the spy of the Emperor.
As a result, a good series, but after the last one it looks weaker. We are waiting for the second season.
P.S. I like that they changed the closing screensaver, painting one of Ida's eyes gray.
I'm looking forward to the second season
Hut hut
I am very glad that I found this animated series.
The drawing is super. The characters are super. The plot is super.
I'm waiting for the second season
I am very glad to see new cartoons lately. they have a childlike spontaneity, and some experiences that are understandable even to adults. it looks easy and pleasant
It was unexpectedly pleasant to watch the emergence of the Luz/Amity couple in previous episodes. I look forward to the development of their relationship next season :
Lilith acted very lowly. How could you?! This is your sister, isn't it? It was fashionable for two people to simply refuse. But no. I should have cursed my little sister, who turned out to be much better.
Emperor.. quite an interesting character. He came from nowhere (also probably from earth) and began dictating to the magicians who lived there and successfully used magic what is good and what is bad. Actually, who are you? How did he gain the trust, respect and attention of these people?? The question, however.
Was the population good at magic that they couldn't handle the horned one? Why did you let yourself be limited? And what kind of reason is this anyway: "wild magic" is bad. And only I can own it. Oh, man, you're not doing too badly.
By the way, Ida's curse played into his hands. Like she didn't join more than one coven and turned into a monster that would later lose her powers. So much for the fear of insubordination.
