An interesting series, a creepy plot, a breathtaking drama. A chic stylish screensaver. Wonderful actors: Tahar Rahim is an opening for me, Jenna and Ellie are good, the list goes on endlessly... Stylists have a five with two pluses, everything is great, in the spirit of the place and time, from clothes and hairstyles to the furnishings. God loves the Trinity))). 2020 began with the excellent "Christine Keeler Case" with Ellie Bamber, 2021 with "The Snake" with her. I look forward to continuing this tradition in 2022))))
I don't have enough five stars to rate this series! I started watching it only because of Takhar, but the plot captured from the very first episode. I haven't been hooked on anything for a long time so that I don't quit in the middle, or skip through the series in accelerated mode.
The nickname "Snake" fits perfectly. He's a very scheming type. I would even say more dangerous than ordinary killers, there is something about him that is just damn scary. Ordinary murderers, maniacs or serial killers are prone for the most part to psychological problems, from which cruelty and violence committed by them are observed. His devilish attractiveness, masculinity, ability to see through people and self-confidence in himself and in his actions speak for themselves.
The only thing that I personally didn't like was the narrative line in the form of later-earlier-later, it looks poor. In general, wow!
This series has undeservedly few ratings, views and comments - it's an amazing story! I haven't watched the development of events with such tension for a long time, the actors are on top, and how the style is expressed! I really liked it, I'll tell all my friends)
The series is worthy of attention! Unfortunately, before watching the last 2 episodes, I started reading on the Internet about the "snake" And damn, once again I am convinced that it would be better not to read ... it feels like you know how everything will end and you are looking through your fingers. Advice, don't do anything. Just watch, and if it gets too long, then you will find a lot of information and photos on the net about the snake 🐍
An amazing series. It draws you in instantly, makes you fall in love with yourself from the first frames and keeps you interested in the screen. I didn't read much about Sobrage (and like many above, I don't advise doing this until full viewing), so there was absolutely nothing to find fault with, I don't know how close to reality they shot, but I had a feeling that they were very close. The atmospheric titles are very, in general, there is an atmosphere in the series, then fear, then despair. Great acting. In general, bravo! This is a very decent product, there are more of them!!
Please advise something similar. The series is wonderful! The play of actors, images, entourage, musical accompaniment, dramatic and psychological component! I found the pearl of the 21st year) I also want something top-like, interesting and detective. Rays of goodness for your help ☺️
@meowmeowurr: Confession / A Confession - also based on real crimes. However, many viewers complain about the manner of shooting ("the camera is shaking") - it was normal for me, apparently, this is how lucky I am with the peculiarities of perception. Plus, approximately on the second series, the action sags, it seems that you can put an end to further viewing, but then the tension returns, intensifies and does not let go. Victim / The Victim. An art series, not based on real events. A very intense drama. It just seems that you have already formed your own opinion about what is happening, just a 90-degree turn. Just digested the new information - suddenly a sharp turn again. And so until the end of the mini-series, it is almost impossible to guess whether people are actually guilty or unfairly accused, and so, and so they twist. A few more based on real crimes: Des / Des. About the British serial killer-necrophile, who himself provoked his arrest, actively cooperated with the investigation. It seemed that the court case was in the hat, and then events take a dangerous turn. The criminal skillfully manipulates others. Definitely, he is a murderer, as well as an insidious person, but did he commit all the murders he confessed to, did he attribute an additional dozen strangers to himself, or, conversely, was able to hide some of his own? Murder at the Whitehouse farm / White House Farm. A bit long, but it's worth it. The events take place in the 80s. The case is interesting because the police were too hasty with the investigation, as a result of which the victims' bodies were legally cremated, most of the things from the crime scene were destroyed. The court had to decide on the guilt of the murders on the basis of very, very shaky evidence. The situation was ambiguous, they are still trying to challenge the real verdict, even the opinions of the viewers of the series were divided.
@meowmeowurr: "Spy" with Sasha Baron Cohen. In my opinion, it is very similar to the "Snake" in that it is based on real events and is stylized in a retro style. The plot is intense and the performance of the performer of the main role is right above all praise.
Thanks to everyone and everyone who wrote under the previous episodes that you don't need to Google the story before the end of the series :D The story kept me in suspense until the very end, there were even thoughts 'well, is this how it's going to end? Will justice not prevail?' - I haven't watched something so addictive in a long time.
It's just not clear why this magnificent series has passed the attention of both viewers and critics. He really stands out in the general flow due to the high level, meticulous and high-quality approach of the authors to telling the story. Excellent work by both actors and creators (shooting, editing, sound, props - all at the highest level). If you decide to take a look, do not hesitate, you will not regret it - it is worth the time spent.
The series is a simple cannon! I am incredibly pleased that I watched it. And it's terribly sad that I found out about him completely by accident from a fashion blog. How many more of these pearls have passed me by?
Takhar Rahim's game is incredible. I won't forget that soon.
What a busy life Sobrage had! The series didn't even show everything. God forbid, being a tourist in a foreign country, to meet such a person. It's creepy that he's been getting away with crimes for so long.
Indeed, it is better to know as little as possible about this story before watching it. Because it looks like this in one go, but it's not a fact that knowing how it's going to end will keep you in suspense as well. But in general, it is a perfectly staged and very scary story, with a wonderful cathartic ending. It's good that all those who survived the meeting with their colleagues - Dominique, Nadine and Remy, Paul, that interpol man and the Knippenberg couple - are doing well in the end. I am especially glad that after parting with Herman, Angela's career took off in full: I don't know how in real life, but in the series she was too smart to stay in the shadow of her husband and stay at home. But, of course, how many lives Sobrazh had previously destroyed (it seems that the series even downplayed all his deeds). Herman had absolutely iron nerves, along the way (even though his psyche began to give up in the end, which is understandable); anyone in his place (especially after the scale of the crimes became known) would have spat long ago and let Paul figure out his method (and maybe a lot of horror could have been that way would have prevented it). Tahar Rahim is the most excellent; it's even amazing how his awards were viewed.
The series is super, 10/10. Atmosphere, costumes, unsoiled actors. Each episode keeps you on your toes. Thanks to the caring people , otherwise , with such work by the police , authorities and laws , they would never have caught him , and they would not have searched for him.
I just looked at it now. according to the advice from the first series and out of habit, I did not read anything about the real story. what was my indignation when I found out that this scumbag was released a month ago. such an unpleasant aftertaste remained because of this, justice did not prevail in the end.
I liked the time and territorial jumps linking the storylines , I liked the slightly greater emphasis on Herman and the capture, rather than on the monster. This evil spirit has not been fully revealed to me in terms of its origin. as I understood from reality, nothing particularly traumatic happened to him, apparently a psychopath in himself, while the second in the family , of course, the entourage and the picture fell in love with themselves, great work. I was born strongly after these events, but everything seemed so familiar to me
The first impression of watching: YEAH, THEY TOOK HIM, AHAHHHAHAHAHA Calming down a little, I started Googling fate. Yes, at the time of 2020, he was serving his life sentence. But in December 2022, he was released for fucking health reasons. I don't fuck at all how it happened and how Knippenberg feels right now. Due to the nature of the frame, the story itself is of greater interest, and not how it was played. However, they didn't disappoint with this either, the series is good.
Gg playing the villain is well done, of course, I recently watched the TV series about September 11, he played there, his hero impressed me very much, but here I fucking hated him
