God loves the Trinity))). 2020 began with the excellent "Christine Keeler Case" with Ellie Bamber, 2021 with "The Snake" with her. I look forward to continuing this tradition in 2022))))
I started watching it only because of Takhar, but the plot captured from the very first episode. I haven't been hooked on anything for a long time so that I don't quit in the middle, or skip through the series in accelerated mode.
The only thing that I personally didn't like was the narrative line in the form of later-earlier-later, it looks poor. In general, wow!
Unfortunately, before watching the last 2 episodes, I started reading on the Internet about the "snake"
And damn, once again I am convinced that it would be better not to read ... it feels like you know how everything will end and you are looking through your fingers.
Advice, don't do anything. Just watch, and if it gets too long, then you will find a lot of information and photos on the net about the snake 🐍
The atmospheric titles are very, in general, there is an atmosphere in the series, then fear, then despair.

Victim / The Victim. An art series, not based on real events. A very intense drama. It just seems that you have already formed your own opinion about what is happening, just a 90-degree turn. Just digested the new information - suddenly a sharp turn again. And so until the end of the mini-series, it is almost impossible to guess whether people are actually guilty or unfairly accused, and so, and so they twist.
A few more based on real crimes:
Des / Des. About the British serial killer-necrophile, who himself provoked his arrest, actively cooperated with the investigation. It seemed that the court case was in the hat, and then events take a dangerous turn. The criminal skillfully manipulates others. Definitely, he is a murderer, as well as an insidious person, but did he commit all the murders he confessed to, did he attribute an additional dozen strangers to himself, or, conversely, was able to hide some of his own?
Murder at the Whitehouse farm / White House Farm. A bit long, but it's worth it. The events take place in the 80s. The case is interesting because the police were too hasty with the investigation, as a result of which the victims' bodies were legally cremated, most of the things from the crime scene were destroyed. The court had to decide on the guilt of the murders on the basis of very, very shaky evidence. The situation was ambiguous, they are still trying to challenge the real verdict, even the opinions of the viewers of the series were divided.
The story kept me in suspense until the very end, there were even thoughts 'well, is this how it's going to end? Will justice not prevail?' - I haven't watched something so addictive in a long time.
Takhar Rahim's game is incredible. I won't forget that soon.
God forbid, being a tourist in a foreign country, to meet such a person. It's creepy that he's been getting away with crimes for so long.
It's good that all those who survived the meeting with their colleagues - Dominique, Nadine and Remy, Paul, that interpol man and the Knippenberg couple - are doing well in the end. I am especially glad that after parting with Herman, Angela's career took off in full: I don't know how in real life, but in the series she was too smart to stay in the shadow of her husband and stay at home.
But, of course, how many lives Sobrazh had previously destroyed (it seems that the series even downplayed all his deeds). Herman had absolutely iron nerves, along the way (even though his psyche began to give up in the end, which is understandable); anyone in his place (especially after the scale of the crimes became known) would have spat long ago and let Paul figure out his method (and maybe a lot of horror could have been that way would have prevented it).
Tahar Rahim is the most excellent; it's even amazing how his awards were viewed.
Atmosphere, costumes, unsoiled actors. Each episode keeps you on your toes.
Thanks to the caring people , otherwise , with such work by the police , authorities and laws , they would never have caught him , and they would not have searched for him.
what was my indignation when I found out that this scumbag was released a month ago. such an unpleasant aftertaste remained because of this, justice did not prevail in the end.

Calming down a little, I started Googling fate. Yes, at the time of 2020, he was serving his life sentence. But in December 2022, he was released for fucking health reasons. I don't fuck at all how it happened and how Knippenberg feels right now.
Due to the nature of the frame, the story itself is of greater interest, and not how it was played. However, they didn't disappoint with this either, the series is good.
