This is the second Swedish TV series I've watched (the first was "Caliphate") and yes, it's very intense, but very exciting at the same time. A social drama with a lot of tin and in which there are few Scandinavian colors, but it holds very strongly
Scandinavian TV series are represented not only by maniac detectives in the spirit of "The Bridge", but also by sharp crime dramas about those who have turned onto how many crime paths.
"Crazy money" (Snabba Cash, 2021) is unkempt Sweden. Forget the stories about the safest and most tolerant country. When civilians fall asleep, they wake up: bandits, dealers, sex workers, poor immigrants, drug users — everyone whom society prefers not to notice. The winner here is the one with the gun and the one with the luck. Risk, drive, sex, drugs, shooting, hopelessness — the rules of such a life are simple and cruel. There is no place for love and compassion here, and if they flare up, they will quickly burn out like sparklers.
The heroes of "Crazy Money" are scum and criminals of all stripes. They are so bright and familiar that you will not forget any of them, even if the character appeared for a couple of minutes. The main plot follows several people: "a white schoolboy who wants to look like an adult and gets into a terrible mess."; — an addicted killer who dreams of giving up both drugs and work; — a black gang leader who wants to expand his sphere of influence; — and Leia, a single mother who follows the path of Walter White.
Leia, beautifully played by the Swedish actress of Iranian origin Evin Ahmad, is simply trying to achieve a decent life for herself and her child. But a couple of accidents and she's in the shit. She has to solve difficult problems, and she seems to be good at it. She can beat many people in this world, but the price for success is too high.
The development of events does not let you get bored, series after series, and now — a bloody, merciless finale. However, those who survive it will continue their pursuit of dirty, crazy money.… Don't miss it.
