@shagrin: Strangely, the most adequate comment is the most negative. But, I like the series if you perceive it as a comedy of the absurd)) It is also logical, like some kind of Sharknado))
of course, I understand that views always differ, but if a person doesn't like it, why offend? you can just keep silent, because no one forces you to watch
@Nadezda_K: It seems to me that people massively forget that everyone has the right to their opinion, not just fans of something. So you can face a situation where you will not be given a word if you want to criticize something. Another thing is that you need to speak out with arguments and without rudeness, as already written here.
An interesting series. It's such a fun little saltbox for those who have missed Sherlock in 2 years. This episode had it all: sorrow and joy, laughter and tears, sudden returns and mind-blowing pranks, and a little detective story. It was just this "bit of a detective story" that confused me. I would like something like the 3 episodes of the previous seasons. But episode 3 is also the third episode to be the best and only one of the season.
P.S. There was something in the moustache. PS 2. Molly is a cutie. PS 3. Sherlock is by no means a social phobe.
Oh, how did I turn out to be right about the circus on the roof, well, how can you watch such predictability? I don't understand ((0) The first episodes are at least something with something, but then everything started to swim. For me, the hype around this small-scale "masterpiece" is not clear. I'll check it out just for show.
The fans were impressed with Philip Anderson. Sheriarty kiss and Anderson. And Mary, Mary is nice. And the rest... Well, after the first two seasons, it's incredibly weak.
Oh, the Sherlock survival versions are the icing on the cake, although the episode did cause unpleasant feelings in some places. On the other hand, AKD Holmes was not an exemplary citizen and a kind-hearted person, so this terrible scene in the subway is fully justified. Having missed Sherlock, we forgot that he is a complete moron in social life, and the series finale reminded us of this =)
I still didn't understand why the corpse was needed, if he lay down in its place anyway...I would have gone to bed myself right away. I didn't understand this point.
@neitr0n: so that Watson could see that someone was falling on the asphalt. Then he gets knocked down, hits his head, and by the time he gets up and wakes up, his body is already being changed to the real Sherlock.
This is probably also the funniest episode of all.: this is the version where Moriarty Sherlock played John at the same time, giggling like children. And how John mistook the bearded patient for Sherlock and started pulling his beard)))
It's a little boring in places, but overall it's really cool, the version where Moriarty and Sherlock are giggling on the roof is just a bomb! And I'm really sorry for John, he's been through a lot with Sherlock.)
So I'm reviewing Sherlock now, in the original, as it should be, I'm learning about many jokes that I didn't understand with the translation (it makes a lot of sense, but how else), and generally rethinking the situation, ala -- "what, where, why, why." I didn't know where else to come to discuss this particular episode, I was hoping that I would come across comments of a similar type, but I didn't find them, although I'm absolutely sure that I wasn't the only one who noticed. But how Sherlock survived was never shown, yes, he told about how he pulled off this wonderful case to Jabal, but how he noticed that Sherlock should not have told him, and even more so one of the first. Let's move on, even if we hope that he told him the truth, why did John ask about how things were going with his fake death in the end. In TV shows, they try to avoid this kind of repetition, and it's somehow illogical to just insert this piece, especially for Moffists who love to leave Easter eggs of all kinds and colors. If someone is interested in this review, someone who has already watched all the episodes, then I hope that he will comment on it, because something is spinning in his head, but he cannot reach a suitable theory, so I am writing here. / When you really want to bring it to the point that Moriarty is alive, but).0/
...And that's just how the greatest detective becomes the greatest pranker of all time. :D The first two seasons were tough. I couldn't figure out the reason for a long time, until I got to the beginning of the third. I got it: I didn't have enough humor! Of course, he was present before, but the right balance of wonderful British jokes and the seriousness of the narrative has only now been found. Some of the characters opened up in a completely new way; the screenwriters took risks and transformed the character of individual characters, but at the same time, in my opinion, they did not spoil them at all (which is worth the "deductive" duel of two brothers!). And, of course, the soundtrack. Surprisingly organic and good. I really hope that the sequel doesn't disappoint!
The series throws you into laughter, then into tears)) This is how a real masterpiece book should be, or in this case, a great TV series)) One pity is that the series has very few episodes, only 3 for the 1st season...It's depressing, I don't know what I'm going to watch after it, and I'd like to watch it forever with charming Sherlock and grumpy Watson)))
How for two years people had been building theories about Sherlock's death and yet an entire street was blocked on the day of his jump. No suspicion, yeah. Is Watson that dumb in the plot?
Is it even normal to copy the idea of undermining Parliament from "V for Vendetta"? I've already gotten used to the fact that the series often throws out absolutely ridiculous scenario moves, but I never expected such a brazen "borrowing" from another famous work.
@Pafasan: The White House in the United States has also been blown up or captured in dozens of films. What does copying/borrowing have to do with it? This is just a plot move showing that those who destroyed it are such a powerful force that it can destroy even the unshakeable symbol of the country and therefore can do anything, it must be feared.
Oh! What a series! The most beloved🥰❤ the actors played amazing🔥🔥 John, who beats Sherlock with his head😅 and the moment when he recognizes him just to goosebumps☺
- I didn't know you spoke Serbian. - I learned it. Simple language. Slavic roots, many borrowings from Turkish and German. A couple of hours was enough. - Mm, you're losing your shape. "Age, my brother. We're all getting old.
And I, who have been learning English for half my life and Spanish for the third year. 🙂🙂🙂
I only watched it once when the episode came out. I don't remember much. There didn't seem to be a normal, one hundred percent correct explanation, how was everything set up?
The magician's book at the beginning of the series was the inspiration for the Baskerville series. What's "funny" is that he's also gay, as is the co-creator of the series and his "husband," who played lawyer Moriarty in 2*03 😅 The theory is good at the very beginning. But the theory is that this is Anderson's opinion, and it has two flaws - you should have known in advance that Moriarty would commit suicide, and Sherlock would not have kissed Molly like that. He's not like that 😂 It's funny that the villains were Serbs, not Russians 😅 "That noise, people..." - Mycroft straight mood 😂 The way John reacted... And if you consider how he beat Sherlock at 2*01 ... "I don't care how you did it ..." - how quickly and easily to get rid of an impossible explanation You must agree that this reaction is better than in the Soviet version. Watson was, if not the only one, then the best friend, so it's logical that he got so worked up. And Leistrade-he probably blamed himself in part, that's why he's so happy to see him. 🥰 Even a slightly distraught Lestrade understands how silly Sherlock's gayness looks. 😂 Sherlock and John, who miss working with each other but don't want to admit it. 😂 Yes, I noticed that Moriarty didn't mention Molly in his list. Poor John, as soon as he wanted to go back to the way he used to be, he was like, "Your parents are so ordinary." "That's my cross." I've watched so many bomb movies that I can't help but wonder why set a timer for bombs if you won't be around when the timer is turned on. Anderson is a fan, and Sherlock is a screenwriter? "I'm disappointed" "Everyone is criticizing today" 😂 I wish I could see Donovan so contrite too... Sherlock - the ultimate troll 😂 You shouldn't have bullied the poor doctor like that. It's strange that he didn't hit him again 😅
I wonder if from the very beginning they intended to give an incomplete/incomplete explanation, or did they realize that it would not be possible to explain it logically, and decided to refuse? 😅
Interesting notes from IMDb and TV Tropes. * In the book Revived, Sherlock first appears in front of Watson with a thick accent and beard as a bookseller on Church Street. The titles of the books were the same as the videotapes that the real seller had offered John. * Watson asks the patient if Dr. Werner is his primary physician. In the book, he is Holmes' cousin, who buys out John's practice when John decides to return to Baker Street upon Holmes' return. * Mary receives a text message with the text "John or James Watson". This is a reference to "The Man with the Split Lip," where Mary called Watson "James" rather than "John." As a result, a fan theory was born that Watson's middle name is Hamish, which is a variation of the name James. * The location of St. Bartholomew's Hospital and nearby buildings has changed the original explanation of how Sherlock survived. "There was supposed to be a two-stage trick. There should have been a platform, like the window cleaners, where Sherlock would have hit first, then another body would have fallen from the platform. Therefore, in the newspapers [inside the series] they wrote about refit (repair; reconstruction of engineering equipment of old buildings) of the historical hospital, but then they changed our opinion, because the director of 2*03 Toby Haines noticed that the ambulance station is in the right place." * No Sumatra Road station exists in reality. But there is a real road, Sumatra Road, which is 5 miles (8 km) from the Palace of Westminster. However, there is an underground North End station near Sumatra Road (popularly called 'The Bull and Bush'), which was built but not opened due to a change in plans regarding the layout of the area above. * The creators of the series said that the 3rd version shown, which Sherlock tells Anderson, is true. However, if you just watch the episode, then there is a possibility that Anderson did not have Sherlock at all. 😅 * There is a clever "censoring" of swearing in the original. When Mrs. Hudson asks what Watson said, Sherlock replies Fu-- (Fa), but the word is interrupted by Watson, who asks the patient to cough. So - the cough in English will be cough (kof), it turns out Fa-kof - Fu-cough - fuck off. By the way, they say that for the show in the USA, the American PBS channel slightly extended the pause so that the word would not be explicit. They also removed the expletive "You - you cock!" (cock is formally "rooster", in common usage "penis"), instead John says You - you ... * When Sherlock stands on the roof and looks around London, he is in the same place as Bond in "Skyfall". * The fact that Sherlock imagined that a bomb could destroy the parliament building is presumably a reference to the "SHH" of 2009. Guy Ritchie, where Holmes also imagines the attack being prepared. * When John attacks Sherlock, Pink Martini's "Dónde Estás Yolanda" is playing. The lyrics of the song are translated from Spanish as: "Where are you Yolanda? What happened? I was looking for you, but you weren't there." * In reality, there are also hidden metro stations, as well as branches that are not on the maps. * Some terrorist bombs, such as the IRA, do have an undo button. However, it's too much to assume that literally all bombs have an undo button. Guy Fawkes Day is celebrated on November 5th, but in one scene you can see green foliage, and in another it's snowing, which does not happen in November in modern London.
Still, I don't understand the general enthusiasm for the series)
Yes - the series is good, the main actors are excellent, but the series seems to me to lack something) well, I repeat that the series is stretched for an hour and a half, an hour would be more than enough)
