It had long been clear that Janet had used the key more than once and had been at Harris's house. The only question is whether she really saw Kate. For some reason, it seems that there is not.
But Mallory is getting more suspicious with each episode.

@Rielsey: In previous episodes, the guys who commented put forward a theory about mirrors. And the mirrors are depicted on the poster, maybe a reference, or maybe a metaphor. But the fact that Janet lies catastrophically a lot is clear as day. Therefore, I do not think that we will be able to fully understand whether she saw it or not, but the fact that she protects herself always and everywhere is for sure. Kate also has Anabel in her head, including talking a lot.

I was hoping that there would be more new information in this series, I really want to move forward in detail. The fact that Janet lied to her parents, plunged into this abyss of fascinating and dangerous events is already clear from the first episode. But I want an active development of events, the 6th episode revealed to us the parents, the only situation with the witness, and that's it. @Whatze_Phuck: I completely agree, I also watched the previous episodes in 1 day, so now there was a feeling of "not finishing" at all: then, although it was clear that by episode 5 the development slowed down, but although in general there was a lot of everything for so many episodes in a row, and here, it seems, they showed important things, but it was possible to do much more. And as they show, many begin to arouse suspicions that a brother is a "stepmother", not to mention the "best" friend of all time. On the plus side: 94 is not so depressing for Janet, after all, the friendship has resumed, the father has thawed. For some reason, I am more emotionally disposed towards her, although logically this is not particularly justified. Maybe because, with the exception of crime, I see in it clear parallels with my school life.

And very often criminals are family members who enter the house (as in life), especially in stories about a crime against a young girl, this is already a cliche. You still don't understand how much you can trust Janet... her behavior is very alarming… The schoolgirl endlessly makes her way home to the left man 🥴🤦🏼♀️ … And her obsession with Kate... that elastic band... brrr!
About Annabelle... somehow, I probably wouldn't want it to be Kate's other self🤔 It would be interesting if the character was a real person. What if it's Janet?😳 Or Mallory... (I support those who wrote that she is a little cloudy). Suddenly Kate was communicating with someone through the door/mirror/window ect.(?) And Mallory could have broken into Harris's house, too.

Is there really only one episode left? The plot is just stomping on the spot, there is absolutely no escalation, no increase in the degree of drama. Even in the first episodes there was more heat, but somehow everything was smooth and rotten - we already realized that in 93 they were fooling around and engaged in all sorts of illegal teenage nonsense, in 94 the branch sagged in terms of Janet's character (okay, at least the conflict of the parents was revealed - but then Janet began to infuriate even more, because I lied a hundred times to my mother and now I'm offended that she doesn't believe her (well, kapets), at least 95 has a movement, but they show more and more what a manipulative sociopath she is. I don't know, personally, her character is becoming more and more unpleasant to me, I don't even want everything to be revealed by her innocence.
In short, we are waiting for everything to be sorted out in the end, and what about this Annabelle, who was completely ignored.

I've grown so disgusted with her because she lies so much. although I also don't trust Kate at all.

@linoosya1998: я начала смотреть сериал, когда вышло 4 серии, просто залпом их проглотила. и дальше такой тухляк пошел, очень медленно показаны события - я думала больше сюжетных поворотов будет, чтобы играть нашими впечатлениями от героинь, либо неоднозначных моментов типа как дружба с похитителем, или ПТСР. также очень было интересно увидеть, как все же Джанет удалось стать популярной - в этой серии выглядело малость нелепо, что Джейми из 93 просто чуть не набросился на нее с вопросами и интересом в сцене про ТЦ. типа реально взрослому крутому парню будет тааак интересно невзрачная младшеклассница? он аж подлетел там на стульях. вообще не верится.
короче ожидала психологический триллер с недостоверными рассказчиками, а получила просто очередной запоротый сценарий. надеюсь хотя бы концовка стоит того.
про Аннабель - с ужасом ожидаю, что это реально будет банальное альтер-эго, которое вытеснило неудобные или травматичные воспоминания.

У меня еще сразу, когда впервые упомянули в одной из серий про аннабель, закралась мысль:
могла ли кейт забеременеть и родить ребёнка там, если похититель ее насиловал? Сколько она там пробыла, чуть меньше года?Возможно, ребенок погиб сразу после родов или что-то вроде того, но она успела дать ему имя.
Хотя теория с альтер-эго, конечно, кажется мне более логичной и вероятной

@mostwhatever: не знаю, осматривали ли ее врачи. по идее понятно, если девушка рожала, но тут в принципе могли ее и не трогать, чтоб не травмировать больше. но не знаю, версия с ребенком кажется какой-то уже совсем удручающей и чудовищно тяжелой. мне кажется не совсем в жанре сериала, тут, наверное, больше про психические проблемы. хотя могу и ошибаться разумеется)
скрестим пальцы на неожиданный в хорошем смысле финал)

@Ali_kolli: но если кейт, например, пропала, когда джанетт еще не"превратилась" в красавицу, то она запросто могла ее видеть в новом облике и думать, что ее зовут анабель или что-то вроде того. а потом до нее дошло, что это джанетт. хз тут конечно. может она ее не узнавала на почве травматического опыта и думала что она говорит с выдуманной девушкой или реальной анабель

Плюс то Кейт говорит, что Джанетт видела ее, потом, что Джанетт спустилась в подвал и сбежала.. в любом случае, событие, если оно и было, было не долгим.. а об Аннабель Кейт сказала так, что Аннабель была продолжительное время, или осталась

Наконец показали момент расставания родителей, но жаль, что посвятили весь эпизод этому. Остается всего одна серия и сдаётся мне, что развязку растянут на 2ой сезон(

Однако уже четко видно, что весь сериал вовсе не о преступлении 🤔 Во всяком случае не о конкретном преступлении и не конкретногл человека..

Удивительно что Мэллори до сих пор не сдала Джанет с ключом! Ведь она уже даже лучшая подруга Кейт и такое сильное доказательство сразу бы изменило ход дела. Почему она не призналась? Потому что была в своём роде соучастницей при том первом взломе?

Почему обязательно должно быть что-то новое в серии, что двигало бы сюжет? В психологических сериалах важен не только сюжет, но и характеры персонажей и атмосфера. Нам раскрыли родителей Джанет (теперь стало понятно, почему из семьи ушла мама, стало жаль ее, ей так слепо не верили), показали подробнее отношение брата к сестре, с другом помирилась. И еще раз подтвердили, что Джанет врет всем и вся, больше оттолкнув от героини.
Не поняла только линию с той продавщицей. Она наивно думала, что Джанет забудет о том, что видела и слышала в том доме или будет молчать, пока свидетельствуют против нее? Смысл был возникать, когда про тебя тоже известны секреты?
А про Аннабель никто не забывал, просто это серия о Джанет, а не Кейт. Наверняка еще вернутся к Аннабель

ну не знаю, кому как, но я лично все равно не принимаю причины почему ушла мать Джанет, можно психовать, рыдать, уйти от мужа, но не от детей, (опустим то, что сын находится в общаге) тем более второй ребенок несовершеннолетний. Да она тебе лжет, но какой подросток хотя бы раз не врал родителям? посади ты ее перед собой и вывали все начистоту, поговори с ней! а не беги от всего этого поджав хвост, тем более на тот момент ничего не было понятно толком, никто никого в тюрьму не посадил, обвинение не назначил официальное.

и Джанет бы обратиться в свое время к тому, кому было надо, и проработать все свои проблемы, это не нормально лазить к непонятному мужику каждый раз, сохнуть по популярности девчонки до такой степени, чтоб резинку ее хранить и врать на каждом шагу всем и вся

Я так понимаю, мать планировала вернуться/вернулась. Но в окончательном расставании родителей Джанет стала винить мать и сама перестала с ней общаться
Хотя да, мать могла бы и больше усилий приложить ради применения с дочерью
Но видимо сомнения и подозрения в причастности Джанет к похищению не оставляют ее

@Rina_Quinn: Имхо, для матери это стало поводом, а причиной всё-таки послужили изменения в жизни: все эти звонки, недоверие, давление. Пока всё было хорошо, она могла быть "хорошей матерью", а как стало плохо, ей проще бросить всё и сбежать. Что она и сделала. Но сама себя оправдывает тем, что это она не семью (и дочь) бросила в сложной ситуации, это ей не верили! При этом она же сама не верит дочери - ну, вот именно, сядь да поговори начистоту. Дажент наверняка бы рассказала, откуда на самом деле ключ. Да может, её преступник совратил! А мать сразу подумала о вине дочери. Неудивительно, что после этого и Джанет от всех закрылась. Родная мать предпочла уйти, поверив в самый плохой вариант, а не поговорить.

Многие про Мэллори пишут, а мне кажется, что и из Винсента друг для Джанет так себе.

Он согласился с Джанет, что надо избавиться от травы, и не отговаривал ее, а когда пришла Мэллори и стала наезжать, все спихнул на Джанет и даже бросил фразу "А я тебе говорил".

Когда Джанет робко завела разговор о том, что Мэллори вечно их на что-то подбивает и сбегает, он ее осудил за эти слова, сказал "Не надо плохо о Мэллори".

В видеопрокате не заступился за Джанет, попытался и ее, и ее бывших подруг просто выгнать.

И много подобных на первый взгляд мелочей.
