@worst_witch: "beauty like yours doesn't fade. you will be great for the rest of your days."
rip, rita castillo 💔 🥺
it's amazing how everything turned upside down. it was expected that the main villain of the season will be the heroine Lana, but in fact you will sympathize with her almost more than anyone else. the transformation of Alma from sweet tikhona to a crazy truck, ready to cut anyone on its way, just blows the brain. I don't know about you, but I didn't immediately notice that she had completely gone, like there were glimpses of adequacy in the middle of the season, and then bang-so sharply — and she's ready to bury everyone. I was killed:
- mom, you and dad are murderers, you better give up, it's wrong... — why don't you tell me I look great?"...
it's justл Allison Tolman is great in her crazy roll!
the main question of the season is still open: where did Alma get so many beautiful expensive outfits, if their income from Bertha did not grow much? like they didn't have any extra money before, and then they suddenly appeared when Alma decided to become a serial killer?
it's a shame, of course, for two cousins, Rita and Isabel. they were also the decoration of this season. Rita is a delight to the eyes, every image of her is a dump of everything, and Isabel's sparkling jokes are just the best.
for Dee and Verna sincerely glad, a good strong family. The scooter is also happy at the end of the season, let it be satisfied with the attention that is finally directed at it. as someone below noted in the comments, which I agree with, it seems that only with Rita he did not wear a mask, he was himself. with the rest, it seems to play the right role.
I expected a little more from the finale, to be honest. Catherine was not shown, somehow everything happened very quickly and clumsily. I caught a spoiler about Rita's death before watching it, and even from this scene I expected more emotions. in general, I liked the season, in terms of the plot, the first, of course, is inferior, but also in its own way good. thank you so much to the showrunners and actors, great job, guys!
and God, invite Lana Parria to Season Three, please, she's such a goddess, we need more ❤ ️ ❤
@worst_witch: well, Bertram withdrew all the money at the mercy of Isabel and borrowed more, most likely they went into business. Do not return it back to the bank when you need to maintain a luxurious image)
@worst_witch: The parallel is just beautiful, because they looped the plot so much, showing how the heroines have changed places. But what struck me more was the beauty of the final scenes. The candlelit dinner itself, the tragic romance, the red dress, Alma's madness in accordance with the cow track and such a fantasy. It turned out insanely beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. I am as happy as possible with this ending.
@worst_witch: who's in red, that's the boss) by the way, at the time of the murders in the first season, all three main characters were in red just right. apparently Cherry has a thing for red.
As many predicted, our kibalchish boys survived and are quite healthy :) And Catherine just ran away, however, how else could it be?
It also seems to me that only with Rita, the Scooter is sincere and real. With the rest, he plays the image.
Alma bought a gun, her husband's reaction: - You scared me! - Did I scare you?!
A great plan, Alma, reliable as a Swiss watch.
By the way, on the one hand, it is right that Rita was silent about the child, but on the other hand, she was not. The situation here is ambiguous.
I was pleased with Grace - after all, a really kind soul. I didn't rat on Rita, but on the contrary, I talked to her like a human being.
Bertie was pleased that he finally found the strength to confess everything.
With Rita, I still hoped for a favorable outcome, but given the format of the series and the confrontation with Alma, it was not worth waiting for anything else.
Bertie - Well, wife, you give. She beat me on the murder front.
Scooter remained true to himself :)) He is making progress in the field of gigolo.
The sign is gorgeous - "Alma Filcot and the Bloody Garden".
In general, the series is very good, it was generally dispersed by the finale. The actors are well done, they played their images smartly.
Alma threatened that woman from the club to withdraw from the competition with an affair that was with Grace, so Grace left the club and went to talk to Rita, if not for that, I doubt that the conversation would have taken place
Well, all sorts of happy endings are needed, all sorts of happy endings are important.
In the whole story, I feel most sorry for Isabel and a little for Catherine:(Isabela was the only one who killed out of really noble motives - protecting her cousin from assault and, possibly, even death. Catherine took up the gun because she was almost systematically driven by endless lies and betrayal.
Everyone else, imho, got what they deserved. Rita-for the murder of Carlos, although it did not take place (he survived her attempt not because Rita did not want and did not try seriously, but because of the prevailing external circumstances. So it can be safely considered a killer). Bertram and Alma-for all their victims.
I'm glad Dee and Vernon are okay. But I couldn't help wondering what kind of heredity the child has? On one line - two serial killers in grandparents, on the other-a father who does not shine with intelligence... But the idyllic picture of the family at the end of the series still pleased:)
I agree with the narrator, the story ends with quite a happy ending. Now I want the third season about someone else:)
At the same time, I thought how right Bertie was that he had pushed Alma on the path of murder.
It is worth remembering only how horrified she was when she realized that her husband was a maniac. But Bertram did not threaten her in any way and generally remained in everything except his little hobby, a good person familiar to Alma, a kind person and an animal lover. And Alma had a perception shift. In the end, she even became angry, as it seems to me, more because he was hiding something from her, and not because of the nature of his actions. In addition, she must have had some inclinations of her own, since she was able to go so far on her own that she killed several people.
In general, what is the result? Since the killer does not cause either fear or disgust (well, of course, the beloved husband!), then his actions also do not seem so terrible. For Alma, murder went from the category of taboo, which she did not dare to think about, let alone commit, to the category of unpleasant, but ordinary things at first, then into the best and even the only way to solve problems, and in the end, as she confesses to Bertram in one of the last conversations, into pleasure.
And she doesn't even have such an excuse as a traumatic childhood event.
And although Alma caused less and less empathy for me as a viewer, the development (or would it be more accurate to say "degradation"?) it was very interesting to watch her character.
Reviewing the first series after the finale, it is impossible not to pay attention to the already sparked potential of Alma in terms of anger, envy and cruelty. When she chopped meat in the kitchen, she did it, clearly imagining someone in the place of that piece. The character of Alma is very interesting, but he erupts like Vesuvius, completely unevenly in relation to her past life. Do you understand how important it is to "let off steam" evenly for yourself, so that one day you don't move like a cuckoo at some "gardeners ' club" 🙃
@Quill: "Rita is for the murder of Carlos, although it did not take place (he survived her attempt not because Rita did not want and did not try seriously, but because of the prevailing external circumstances. So she can be safely considered a murderer)" - here I cannot agree with you, because then each of us is a murderer according to this logic.
@Hatjkva: Did you try to take someone's life every day? I think you're exaggerating a lot. Or did you really try to kill someone and judge by your own experience? Have you poisoned someone, drowned them, like Rita, or otherwise actively harmed them in order to take their life?
I am not, and your comment is offensive to me.
If Catherine hadn't returned home earlier, Rita would have killed Carlos without the slightest remorse. She changed later, yes, but you can't take away the things she did.
@Qwill: Isabella didn't seem to kill anyone, Rita's first husband turned out to be alive. But Isabella was seriously offering to get rid of Carlos. I don't feel sorry for Catherine, she didn't kill anyone. I understand that no one is looking for her. At the very least, with her money, she will be acquitted of shooting "in a state of passion." She has a lot of money, she can change a gigolo every week. And instead of driving the Scooter away before the episode with the suitcase, she started shooting. And anyway, it's dad's fault that his daughter's personal life didn't work out. I have a lot of sympathy for Rita. Of course, she's not a gift, but she's still not a killer. Her husband treated her badly, which is why she hated him. It seems to me that, except for the only time in the bathroom, she did not even think of killing him, she waited for him to die himself, but she mocked him nobly, but he was also not an ideal husband before his illness.
I did not expect that Rita would die, I hoped until the last that she would go somewhere in the end. Even in the final scenes, I naively waited for her appearance, eh…
Still, I expected more from the final, I do not leave the feeling that it was merged. Even the previous series left more impressions. I also thought that the line with Catherine would continue, but no, they decided to simply remove it. Sadly.
Alma's passage at the end of the series is something, it was creepy for me to watch it. Throughout the season, we watched a real maniac wake up in her. God, and after the last episode, I still thought that she would still be able to get on the right path, I've never been so wrong.
"Dishonor is not the same as fame, but if you squint, these concepts are a little similar" Well, this is what Alma wanted, and this is what she got. But, as usual, by distorting reality in his head...
@aped78: Why dishonor? Used by the narrator infamous - infamous (as opposed to famous - famous). So rather, "infamous fame is not the same as ordinary fame." Dishonor - disgrace, it didn't seem to be there.
If you look, for example, in the Cambridge Dictionary , here is what we have: https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/infamous The only definition that is given there, I quote: "famous for something considered bad" -known for something that is considered bad. For comparison, there is another dictionary with a similar definition: https://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english/infamous
Specifically, the narrator's speech still had infamy, that is, infamy, but the words are of the same root, and the definition is the same: https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/infamy
@Quill: This is a direct quote (and therefore highlighted with quotes). The version from the dubbing studio. They took advantage of the richness and diversity of the Russian language and correctly used the word "dishonor".
@aped78: Thank you, I will know that the studio translated it that way. However, I will not call this translation literate in this particular case. The richness of the Russian language is appropriate to use when it conveys the essence of the original. The authors of the series had a clear idea - Alma had achieved fame, and she no longer cared that this fame was bad. In the case of dishonor, this idea is lost.
Here they offered the glory of Herostratus. And it's not even close to a literal translation, but the wash of the original conveys much better.
@Quill: You took the phrase out of context (don't do that), and translated it with a dictionary. Well, your version, taken out of context, is correct. but! In the aggregate of all the actions of the heroine, the dubbing studio has chosen the right word.
P.S. Gerostratus planned and set fire to the village deliberately and solely for the sake of notoriety. Alma didn'T kill for fame. Becoming famous for murder was not part of her plans. I remind you that, on the contrary, she tried to carefully hide all her illegal actions.
If she wanted to hide, she had to bury the corpse deeper (or better not on her site at all), not steal things and generally do a lot of things, imho, She just went crazy and lost her mind. And so many people are really trying to hide what they have done, hiding it. They understand that otherwise the scribe will come. And Alma somehow didn't really try at all)
@sonyoponyo: You don't have to convince me that Alma originally wanted to be caught. Didn't want to. She evaded responsibility and hid the traces of her crimes due to her meager mental abilities. The revelation was an unexpected and shocking event for her, which finally hit her psyche. Because it was NOT part of the plans.
Firstly, the phrase was not taken out of context by me. Just in the context of the scene - where Alma, going to court, introduces herself on the red carpet - notoriety is appropriate. After all, Alma presents herself as a heroine, not a spat upon and ridiculed criminal. This is what the offscreen narrator says.
Secondly, Alma wanted to become famous and killed precisely for the sake of fame and recognition. Initially, her goal was a gardening club, not a courtroom. Murders were out of the ordinary for her, but she decided on them for her own purpose. But by the time the path brought Alma to trial and she found herself in the spotlight, she had already gone too far in her madness. This is exactly what the narrator emphasized, saying that in the end, Alma even enjoyed notoriety - because it is fame.
And thirdly, Herostratus did not burn the village, but the temple of Artemis. You mentioned a myth without really knowing it. Don't do that :)
@Quill: Are you familiar with the concept of "literary translation"? They don't say "notorious" in Russian, there is "notoriety", but this is not suitable for murder. Dishonor is a more contextual word, because it means "shame" and fits perfectly with the description of the murderer. And the word is capacious. Perhaps "infamy" would be closer, because it is the same root as "glory", as in the original. But don't find fault with every word, by God.
I still didn't understand, by the way, where she suddenly got the money for luxury dresses. the neighbor's painting was never sold, and there was no question of other sources of income, as far as I remember
@manicka: I can assume that Alma spent the savings that they wanted to give Isabel for the photo. But on the other hand, she had dressed in stylish things before, so this moment is only on the conscience of the screenwriter.
@Falka: this is understandable, but in previous episodes they put such a serious emphasis on the fact that Alma does not have enough money to be as beautiful as the girls from the club, and then this problem just disappeared, and it's kind of strange
@manicka: stop, stop, stop. When Bertram and Alma were engaged in faking the death of Mrs. Just, Alma rummaged in the closet. Suit, departure, topilovo (x) The suit got on her. So other things also quietly moved, and Mrs. Just's nephew most likely could not know what was in his aunt's closet, he only noticed the loss of household and interior things
@manicka: so she also had 20 thousand collected by her husband, plus she probably began to spend more on herself from the family budget, she could sell a Scooter cufflink or wear Mrs. Yost's things. In general, I think she had options to find money for things.
@iralulina: By the way, yes, Alma had even recently said about herself, "that woman is dead." It turned out symbolically.
It was like she became Rita, even became the president of the club, finally got rid of who she was before. So in her head she really achieved a triumph, I think.
Well, imagine what a finale it turned out to be!😱🔥💔 I didn't expect Alma to hate Rita SO much that she would want her dead....a bloody vendetta in all its glory. 🌚
Here, in the comments under the last episode, they tried to prove to me that Rita is much better than Alma, but...I still stand by my reinforced concrete opinion that both are good and worth each other.
As for Catherine and Isabella, I knew they wouldn't be happy in the final :/ I don't know if it's good or bad, but what it is, it is…
I am sincerely happy for Dee, after all these events, she deserves happiness!
I'm really looking forward to the third season, because the series is listed in favorites 🔥✨
I wanted to say that there is always a way out... Although in their case, the way out was to call the police at the moment of the first event, when the neighbor collapsed from the window. There are so many forks in history...
I can't consider it a happy ending, even despite the music at the end. Although the words that Alma got her attention and finally became happy are worth a lot. It seems to me that in the modern world, many of us do not know what we want, and whether they will be happy if they get the desire - the goal definitely does not justify the means, judging by this season.
@080585: Well, by the way, yes, this moment seemed to me the most strained in the scenario: well, the grandmother fell and was killed, the death was clearly an accident, why was it so panicked and spread this whole story? And that she climbed to the second floor of the neighbors to eavesdrop, so what?! A lonely granny went through the roof, spied on her neighbors out of curiosity, maybe not only for these, but for everyone in general, so she finished playing, what a tragedy, but what does the neighbors have to do with it? Right now the police have nothing more to do, only to dig out what exactly she could have heard there.
@ester_n: Yes, it surprised me too. They could just say that they were fighting on domestic grounds and they would have been calmly believed. They wouldn't even lie almost.
@hope_n: Alma's motive is clear here. She also heard that excessive attention to the members of the club is not necessary. And then a man died, and even in their garden. She would never have been accepted into the club, that's all.
@ester_n: in this situation, I would be afraid that I would be charged, as if I had pushed the grandmother on a stake. But Alma, in my opinion, did not voice this, she was afraid that they would ask what the neighbor was eavesdropping on. But in any case, it would be better to call the police than to bury it at home. (!!!!!!!!!) on the site.
I agree with you! I read the comments that at least someone will write this. In the first, the actors ' play, plausibility, the plot is not clumsy and logical (where does Alma get money for dresses starting from the 3rd series) It's just creepy: Alma with two facial expressions, Catherine there too. At the same time, it's nice to see how many others played interesting. But I just wanted to squander the series
@elizarova_ta: dresses from the neighbor's closet, apparently. Maybe she stole something else from home, sold it, etc. But you're right, the changes in hairstyle and outfits are striking... But it's clear that in this way, a little clumsily, they show us how Alma is going off the rails.
@ViktoryMartini: Agree. I watched it with interest, but now there's an emptiness in my soul, there's nothing to even remember. Events, motives, and actions have been too much heaped up on three floors. Excessively. And the first season was perfect.
Ufff, what a finale)) I liked. The only thing is that Rita somehow faded away, did you really go so calmly to meet the killer? Of course, I expected Alma's heroine to be reborn and give up her principles, but I didn't expect the flask to shine so much. The ending is great, especially the scene where she goes like a "star."
I specifically waited (just a month) to watch the last episodes in one gulp, so it turned out even more interesting. You notice all the subtle moments, everything is fresh in your memory. The costumes, the facial expressions of the characters, the reactions in the dialogues, everything is perfectly worked out here.
Alma is really nuts! Like many maniacs, she enjoyed the attention! It's really scary! Bert left the way he wanted to and when he wanted to. Unlike his victims... Dee probably has a psychological trauma... But a husband and child will help. Rita... Well... I can't say she deserved it... It would have been better if she hadn't gone to Alma to figure it out, but had left with a Scooter... But Scooter lives peacefully without it. I liked the season. But Alma didn't have enough motive... I don't consider her mental disorder as a motive for WHY WOMEN ARE KILLED!
Out of revenge, envy, desire to gain and fear of losing status and appreciation in society. This is exactly what Alma was so eager for - to be noticed (after all, being in the garden society is prestigious), and when it finally happened, she was afraid of losing everything. It was so important to her that even after Rita's murder, she did not try to hide the body, escape or anything else, but went to the inauguration to deliver a speech. Yes, Alma's desire for fame and appreciation is shown in a very exaggerated way in the series, but there are people in life who want to be noticed.
@Irishka88: That was understandable. I just meant that it's not a motive for me personally. For the sake of this fleeting attention, I think it's very stupid to do that. Although it was different for Alma, maybe. But I didn't get that motive.
@CoffeeGirl: It seems to me that the whole point of the series is here. She WANTED to join this gardening club, it had been VERY important to her since the first episode, when she had not yet flown off the rails. She has an obsession with this club, and that's where it all starts. And as an option, in my opinion, it draws on the motive of "WHY DO WOMEN KILL".
Well, a minute later they started shouting about the corpse, so no one would have believed in menstruation)) and considering her age, she was more likely to have a menopause, which she even hinted at to one of the policemen))
@selimamonkey: by the way, they wrote above that I'm crazy.the disorder is not perceived as a motive for the killings, but really the climax could have a profound impact on the psyche, and if not so long ago began to realize (people, not doctors) that postpartum depression is not a myth, and it exists, what can we say about the 60-ies of the... So Alma just had a gynecologist and psychiatrist, but it was the ' 60s, the glory of ignorance among the masses and blinkers ;D
Well, it's a pretty brisk season. Scooter, despite his stupidity, was simple and kind, he acted very correctly in some places, it's a pity that nothing worked out with Rita, and he remained the same gigolo)
I didn't expect that everything would turn out this way with Rita, I thought Grace was standing somewhere around the corner to help her:(
Bertie.. He paid for all his sins and left the way he wanted to. However, Alma turned out to be a big monster for me, not Bertram the serial killer who had been doing this for so many years, but an ordinary quiet housewife who, due to self-doubt, lack of attention and support from her family, became just a completely different person to make her dreams come true, along the way becoming a serial killer herself, in unlike her husband, doing this with extreme cruelty and without any childhood trauma. When she decided to leave a souvenir from her husband, the goosebumps went away, she became so unrecognizable.
I'm glad for Dee and Verna, it's good that they didn't touch them. 🥺
@Rina_Quinn: I disagree about the support of relatives. Bertie worshipped his wife. And Dee encouraged her mother not to be afraid and try to join the club.
@Elena_Mak: he idolized her, but when in the first episode she told him that there was a place in the club, he told her that everyone there was from high society and professionals were involved in the gardens, and if indeed there was high competition, as Alma herself says, then.. and he kept silent, saying she had nothing to hope for, and Alma immediately said, "Really, forget about what I said."
Was he wrong? I think he understood better than Alma that this was not a place for his wife, in the sense that it would be toxic for her, as for a woman not from this society (and therefore not living by their rules). It turned out to be toxic. His opinion then turned out to be the best possible support, which she did not want to hear.
@Amelia_3315: Well, I don't know, I wouldn't say that I was "imbued with every story," from the story that took place in the modern world, I just caught a cringe.
@Amelia_3315: I don't understand why, in order to watch the series, you have to sympathize with everyone in it? Dee is specially made for you. You can sympathize with her. The characters are very deep and logical. In the first season, I wouldn't say that there was such a thing.
It feels very strange watching it. If the story in the first season is incredibly confusing and the end of the season left pleasant memories, then the second one caused some strange anxiety.
In my opinion, the season turned out to be quite absurd and caricatured. Yes, it's still interesting to watch, but the first part left a much better impression. Here, you absolutely do not believe in what is happening and do not worry about the characters: everything is too much exaggerated, including psychological transformation, and there is almost no ambiguity of motives. In the end, an unpleasant aftertaste remains.
@lunateheart: that's right, it turned out to be some kind of soap in a beautiful wrapper, with wonderful music by the cameraman and the artist. Of the characters, Catherine was the only one who aroused interest and sympathy, but this calculating and proud woman was also reduced to a mental patient shooting at her rival. The story of the detective, Dee, and Scooter also left some unpleasant residue... Everything seems to have ended well, but I want to scream that I don't believe it. The acting and directing are great, the overall absurdly comedic tone is excellent, but the script.. The script failed
it's kind of frustrating that almost all the murders have been reduced to madness. I try not to compare this season with the second, because they are really TOO different, but it was somehow more interesting to watch the deaths there. there was meaning, there was logic, there was consistency. here it all came down to the effect of surprise, after which a stupor sets in and you sit with a face like 😐😐. there were good moments, the actors and costumers just bravo, but the screenwriters let us down a little:(Alma didn't deserve a good ending, even like this
@valeroma: what do you mean, "I didn't deserve it." Is there a justice club somewhere? In the real world, she could have gotten away with it. Because there is no justice, and ambition mixed with foolishness often leads to a positive result for a person.
Oh, Bertie, Bertie, you created a monster on your own head...
Apparently, the desire to become a better person pushed Alma over the edge of her psyche, because I can't explain these murders in any other way, a la "He/she is bothering me, I need a prick". Even though she tried to get out of the way and avoid the cops, fate decreed otherwise. She wanted attention, and she got it.
I feel sorry for Bertie and Rita. Him, because he loved his wife so much that he refused to see the bad in her until the last moment (And Rita just got, if I may say so, into a hot hand. Maybe if she hadn't gone to the restaurant, she would have gone off quietly and lived happily ever after.
I am very glad that despite everything that is happening, Vern and Dee were able to move on!
And why did Rita even go to talk to Alma, for what? I didn't understand this point at all. When Alma started confessing to Rita about the murders, I thought maybe there were cops hiding somewhere nearby. Either I missed something while watching, or I just didn't understand her conversation with Alma at the last. Alma is also such a powerful woman, she immediately put a screwdriver in Rita , which is terrible, of course
@Vva: I thought Grace was hiding there with a tape recorder. Otherwise, it was somehow obvious that Rita needed Alma to say bluntly that she had killed Carlo and Easy. But apparently it was somehow too predictable.
I thought the end of the last episode would kill your mother, but no, it turned out there were flowers. Alma is a maniac horror
One day, Lana's heroines will have a happy ending (yes, I don't think Regina has a decent ending in OATS) , but this ending with Rita broke my heart. The only thing that pleased me was that Dee, Vern and their baby were okay.
@unixmuse: I felt sorry for Rita, but Dee and Verne-when I saw them, I thought, 'Well, at least they're doing well.' ❤ Even the Scooter was happy in the finale, it was like he was afraid to be himself before
@purumpumpum: I was hoping that his relationship with Catherine would be played out more interestingly. And then he just became a gigolo and ran away very soon. It's kind of bland.
Rita's death turned out to be as senseless as possible, I'm sad. It's a shame that in the end they didn't mention her in any way at the end, although she is one of the main characters of the series...
@elga_v: Dee's husband has a friend in the police force. As for the costumes, I think she took it from Mrs. Eat, but actually why not? Nothing is sacred to Alma except beautiful outfits/hairstyles and a club. And after the murders, I wouldn't be surprised if it was the neighbor's stuff after all. And yet she got what she deserved in the final)
такое шикарное описание Грейс дала: 'Here's what I've come to learn about Alma Fillcot. She is a sweet-talking vampire, and if she'd fought for the Nazis, we'd all be speaking German.'
It's unthinkable, all the negative characters from the beginning, it's a pity, more than ever. And Bertie, and Rita, and her cousin. Even Catherine is sorry that she had to hide. Alma "didn't come in" to me from the very beginning, but in the end - what a crazy bastard she was at heart. It is a pity that due to the fact that she initially led the image of a klusha and lamented the beautiful of this world, a lot of people suffered. But everything was in her hands and could have been different. Well, at least Dee and Verna have a happy ending. Although no, not only that - the Scooter was also not ignored.
Well I do not know. The finale didn't go well. In general, the first part of the season was good, but from the moment when Alma went to get everyone wet, it's already nonsense. Logically, it's clear that some kind of trigger went off, and she felt the power, and she couldn't stop. But I agree with the comments above, it became more and more difficult to believe in what was happening every time.
I liked Bertie's character- he's solid, understandable, with his childhood trauma, well-written (I don't like him, but there are no questions for the Persian) .
Everything is clear with Dee, too, a good quick-witted girl with complexes. Scooter is a gigolo, he doesn't care who he's with, as long as he gets walked.
But Alma-Rita-Verne-Catherine, forgive me, but this is a misunderstanding, not the characters. Alma goes crazy like a snap of her fingers and starts wetting everyone, turned on clothes (taken from nowhere) and her appearance. Rita instantly turns from a bitch into such a noble young lady, Vern is a detective who cannot put 2+2 together, does not look at the photos he took, but for some reason leads a case that is closed.
Catherine, the character, was introduced only to try to reveal other characters at her expense, but the creators forgot about Catherine herself. She just left and that's it. No one is looking for her. For some reason, detectives are not conducting this investigation.
Come on, they screwed up the plot, and then they decided: it'll do! I'm just disappointed. The only moment I liked in the finale was when Alma raises her hand with a white cape, and blood drips from it. Spectacular. As it was, everything was played perfectly, but these scenario holes were very eye-catching.
Most of all, I'm sorry for Bertie ! 😢 He is so kind and good, until the last he wanted to save both his daughter and his wife 💔 💔 💔
With Rita, the final is really muddy, I did not expect her death in any way, I wanted a little happiness for her, or at least a quiet life ...
In general, I liked the season ! Very bright characters, the picture is charming, black humor is good, viewing brought back to the times of Desperate Housewives ❤❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤
@ElenaBalandina: Well, yes, it's a complete mess for Rita. She had already suffered enough, buried her sister, went to prison, her lover left, and her reputation was ruined. Logically enough for her share of trials
That's what routine life gets you to. Allison handled her role brilliantly. From an ordinary housewife who is afraid to say an unnecessary word to a serial killer
@Eliz1611: By the way, I didn't understand why she was beating out a confession.Yu thought maybe the cops were around the corner or a friend wanted to be a witness..
I also thought there were cops there) at first I thought it was a dictaphone, but I remembered what year it was and decided that they had set a trap for Alma. It's a dead end for Rita, somehow it doesn't fit with her image.;(she showed herself to be smart and cunning.
@kotenokgaff: she wanted to find out for herself, in my opinion. Deep down, she doubted that Isabel had killed her husband, and then she found out about Isabel's murder at Alma's hands.
the finale came out weak in terms of tension, because it was not possible to feel at all what was in the final episode of season 1, and even in some episodes of this one, but in its final outcome.. I'm generally silent. I am very grateful for the existence of such a character as the inimitable Alma Filmrage, because it is so rare to feel a constant surge of hatred when watching something. It's just a shame that the season has come down to the height of madness in this woman. I wanted to see some kind of justice, but on the contrary, she only got high on the path to death. and, of course, I wanted to see my beloved Rita again in a beautiful outfit and in a new life, not dead))
what I would like to say at the end of the season. I'm already anticipating the downsides. I didn't like the season at all. The beginning was incredibly intriguing, but then I lost interest. Alma's behavior eventually lost all sense of reason and turned into mania, which eventually began to repel me. I was also unhappy with the outcome, but the whole story led to something like this, it was hardly possible to turn everything around and do it completely differently. Yes, I understand that the series is about the reasons why women are killed - this is the essence of Alma's behavior. but by the end it was already over the edge. not my moral ideas, if anything. it just became the same.
on the positive side: cast, music, some storylines, atmosphere. I continue to admire the picture, in general, it was she who made me watch it to the end. Of course, the storylines of Dee, Rita at the end of the season, and Bertram aroused my sympathy, but I could not fully understand them.
@ZHMN10: moreover, the series up to 6-7 was still very interesting, it seemed that the lines that had been started would shoot incredibly. And the drain came out, as with the Lost
She might have had some change from the gun for that) after all, there was a diamond cufflink, and Rita planned to use these cufflinks to settle in New York.
There was a kind of crumpled ending, as if one more episode wasn't enough. Did you miss saying goodbye to Catherine, Bertie's conversation with Vern, would you like to see Alma in court, how is Dee going through all this? But overall, I enjoyed the season. The actors are great, especially Lana! It's a pity for Rita, it's a good ending for Bertie, he helped himself in the end. I can imagine the priest's reaction when he realized which wife Bertie had advised him to obey))) I really feel sorry for all the negative characters except Alma. It would have been epic if she had made an accusatory speech there in the audience when she was caught in the blood, how she wanted to be friends with all these ladies, but they didn't notice her. Well, the Scooter... He's like a stupid relative, I can't get mad at him.. It's strange that Rita wasn't mentioned at all in the finale, who even took care of the funeral, Scooter? We could have shot a few scenes at the cemetery, though I don't know... Oh well, I'll definitely review both the first and second seasons) And now I just want to review Desperate Housewives?))
@katkat: It seems to me that if anyone buried Rita, it was Grace. After all, they were friends and they communicated normally. I think she felt sorry for her.
My God, Rita's death is just very stupid. Alma went completely off the rails, but that was to be expected. It's a good thing that her happy ending isn't as happy as it seems.
What I didn't expect was Rita's ridiculous death : (after all, I hoped that she and Scooter would leave and start a new life, but Alma made adjustments.
Bertram's death is logical, he died from his own weapon, although, to be honest, I felt a little sorry for him.
Alma got what she wanted-fame, fame, attention. It's clear that her cuckoo has been gone for a long time, but I didn't have enough of her awareness of everything she had done, and if not remorse, then at least understanding that everything was over, she was caught and would be punished. And it turned out to be a personal happy ending for her.
I'm glad that Dee and Vern are doing well. I waited until the last moment for Rita to appear, miraculously surviving, but it didn't happen, alas. Katherine's a devil, she made a fuss and ran away.
In general, I liked the season, atmospheric, beautiful, sometimes glamorous, I will not compare with the first one - they are different and each is beautiful in its own way
Until the last moment, I hoped that the cops were waiting behind the restaurant during Alma and Rita's conversation. I feel sorry for her. Judging by the happy smile at the end, Alma is just a psychopath. It's strange that her geese and swans are flying right now. Well, she got married, gave birth, she got bored, except for tinkering in the garden there is nothing in life, she envied the ladies from the club, set out to get into their company at all costs. But so many murders for the sake of fame. A sudden transformation from a quiet person to a maniac.
I thought that when Rita and Alma were talking, there was a police car parked in the back, but it turned out that this was not the case. But the result is the same - Alma is in prison, only Rita is dead:(
Despite the fact that the season itself holds the atmosphere and is still enjoyable to watch, the plot and character development want the best.
The idea of drawing parallels between the main characters is interesting, but how absurdly it was played out in the end. Alma's development happened like a snap of her fingers and completely killed her past character, moreover, envy and the desire to be famous made her absolutely insensitive and ruthless, although there were no reasons to go crazy and become a psychopath as such.
For a person who loves crime fiction, Dee was just the height of naivety and gullibility, believing in any bullshit her mother put on her ears, even if it was very improbable.
Killing Rita is an interesting decision, but how badly it was played out. This is the power of gardening, that Alma was able to punch a woman's stomach and lower back with a screwdriver so clearly with a light movement of her hand.
And during the season, the series constantly bordered on absurdity, excessive theatricality and a desire to show some kind of realism, which, in the end, could not be done to the end. There are a lot of platitudes, silly actions from the characters and dubious "unexpected" plot twists. But the work of the cameramen, costumers and designers is great.
So why do women kill? Because of stupidity? Out of envy? For revenge? Because they're psychopaths? Or is it because the scriptwriters cannot fully describe the development of the characters, their motivation and consequences?
@id131796580: You've made up too much, a real lump. And they continued to build up further instead of developing the old lines normally. After Karl's murder, which was the stupidest in its motives, everything descended into complete and total nonsense. In other words, it was impossible to take revenge on Rita using information about the Scooter. No, it was necessary to wet Carl, which was dangerous, doubtful, risky and very likely could not work. Oh, they planted a syringe, wow.. And who bought the drug?))) These killers are so dumb, it's amazing. They were simply blinded by the impunity of past deeds. This is not a Hangar maniac operating in forests and on highways. Everything is in the palm of your hand, damn it! An overpopulated state. Was there no security in the mansion of the richest man? They quietly went about their business. Well, yes, well, yes
This is the cringe I caught from the final! Alma just got caught up in the madness with the ends, this scene where she and Bertie were going to die together and she was like "it's cool to be smart, I'll get out somehow", and her husband just dies next to ... brr. And then continue to bask in their illusions and get high from "fame". In fact, a very interesting character went out.
Although the ending turned out to be crumpled, but also spectacular, too. I'm glad that everyone got what they deserved, but I'm very sorry for Ritka anyway.
I expected a little more from the finale, compared to the first season, everything was resolved quite standardly. But I still liked the second season, an interesting story that turns Alma into a mad, maniacal, greedy woman.
The season turned out to be weak compared to the previous one. The ending turned out to be a happy ending in this situation, although I expected Alma to die with her husband. Yes, Rita didn't deserve to die like that, it's a shame about her ending. I hoped that she would go to New York and start her life there with a clean and golden leaf, but it didn't work out ... there was some kind of incomprehensible residue after watching the season. There is no such "wow" effect that was after the first one. I've been moving away from the plot and impressions for a few days, but here...nothing. Yes, a good one, but no more.
@bez4uvstv: Yes, but in fact, she betrayed her husband. He had already let the poison into himself, and she abruptly changed her mind in order to walk the red carpet to court. Of course, this was important to this character. But sorry, in my personal subjective opinion, neither the finale nor the season as a whole reach the bar that the first one set. Let's say someone liked it, and indeed, it was beautifully shot, the actors are great, but the series often looked on rewind.
The ending is simply gorgeous. I feel incredibly sorry for Rita, no matter how selfish a woman she was during her lifetime, no one deserves to die like this. Bertie paid for his own murders, but it was unbearably sad for his couple and Alma, because they had been together since high school. And those words "goodbye, my beauty," after all, they genuinely loved each other. The ending, where Alma gets the laurels of "popularity," is shot unbearably stunningly. What a strong transformation of the hero took place in 10 episodes..
And what a parallel to the outfits: red dresses. Ah!
I was hoping that Alma would finally be able to figure out what she had done. Leaving her husband would have been more logical, but since it was clear from her that the authorities had spoiled her and she did not want to part with this feeling so quickly, she decided to try lying again, and suddenly she would be lucky. After all, she would have had to die in both cases if she had been found guilty. With her husband, it would be calm and beautiful - without shame, and after the trial, like a monster in fear. But it turned out that it was her moment of glory and not the most terrible departure for her.
Her actions are terrible, but what's more terrible is that she had no remorse in the end. And I really wanted to see the good Alma again!
Rita is not particularly sorry, she is far from a gift (she tried to drown her husband). And I think I would have tried my best to gain popularity again, by overthrowing Alma, if I had time to tell everyone. (for some reason, I thought there were cops in the car behind them, as Rita was desperately trying to get a confession.)
I really enjoyed the season. The atmosphere is gorgeous and you shouldn't compare it with the first season - they are completely different in motives. In the first, the emphasis was on husbands against wives (or women against men), and here on women against women.
A rabid middle-class woman goes off the rails and kills left and right to get into the rich women's garden club 🙈 There is no end. I was expecting some unexpected turnaround, but apart from Rita's death, nothing really surprised me. 😭
And the least of my concerns))) I wonder how Dee got away with it. After all, her fingerprints are on the dead woman's belongings. Where did Alma get the money for all these costumes and accessories? She didn't take it from Mrs. Eats all the time, did she?
Alma was so infuriating about the last two episodes! Of course, I guessed that she would get a taste, but this bloodlust combined with her smiles and mannerisms is just a nightmare. And in general, there was some feeling of dissatisfaction left from the finale...
And Bertram's death turned out to be kind of stupid, although it seems to me that even if the two of them had run away, Alma would have killed him sooner or later anyway.
And yet, why is there more sympathy for Bertie, who lost his mind amid childhood trauma, than for Alma, who completely lost her mind when her psyche could not cope with the truth about her husband? She's just gone crazy, not unleashed her inner demons. The club she dreamed of at the time of her injury became a mania.
I liked the second season more. I hope there will be more. A new season is a new story. And so it can be indefinitely ) After all, Mark Cherry is a very good storyteller of his favorite time of the 50s and 60s.
I'm so sorry for Rita! Bertie was also sorry at first glance, but when you slow down and remember that he also killed a lot of people, you think that his death might even be fair. Alma is so disgusting, it seems like no character has ever annoyed me as much as she has. Sociopathy in all its manifestations. On the one hand, I'm happy for Dee, now she has her own family and such a great loving husband, but it's hard to imagine how to live after such a truth about her parents. Overall, the last episode was good, but the first season is still a favorite.
The last episode is the final disappointment of the season. You can't compare it to the first season, which was just incredible. Just remember the shooting and the musical accompaniment, the overall picture. The cameraman did an incredible job in the first season. The second season is ordinary and not so interesting, the ending is too predictable(((
Alma annoyed me so much... There are 5 recent episodes, moreover. Sacrificed everything for nothing. It's a pity that Rita died, I liked her pair with a Scooter. He treated her very kindly and tenderly) Vern and Dee are very sweet, they love each other so much)
The season is great, the finale was disappointing. The first is that Rita was killed. What for?? A completely senseless, logically unfounded murder. Alma actually killed her anyway, destroying the reputation of a rich husband's wife. The second is this negative from the first shots of the season, where Rita shines, and Alma looks from the Street - well ... such a taste, too blunt in the forehead. Dee, Vernon, and Scooter are great. It's a pity that Catherine's line was cut off.
That's character development! It's been a long time since I felt so sorry and worried, and then watched the real dawn of the main character's wormhole.…
I really liked the series) a certain crazy woman who is ready to do anything to achieve her goals) Very cool parallels, excellent actors (which is worth a couple of main characters, they are so cute and harmonious that you really believe in their love, mutual understanding, in general +++) A great ending (the only thing missing was Katherine, it's a pity she was excluded from the final episode). I enjoyed it immensely.: what is only a visual picture worth: these costumes, ladies' dresses, designs of houses, apartments, streets; the acting is as successful as possible, the main character's performance, as far as I'm concerned, did more than 100%, although few people remember her, but she touched me to the depths of my soul. Not everyone can survive such a tragedy that she has experienced. Thanks to all the creators of the series, to everyone who worked on it, it's awesome)
Even at the beginning of the first episodes, I thought Rita was going to die, but I still hoped I was wrong. I felt sorry for Alma in the beginning, but then she really turned into a crazy killer - the actress who played her is very good. Rita is love, maybe I'm biased against this character, because Lana Parria is incredibly gorgeous and I've been in love with her for years now, I wish Rita would do well, like, go with a scooter It's a pity for Isabel, she's so good, she did everything for Rita and loved her. The season came out great, but the plot fell a little short of my expectations.
I'm probably the only one here, but I feel sorry for everyone who was killed (except Carlo), including Alma and Bertie. It was incredibly interesting to watch her change dramatically, this series always surprises with its atypical nature. 10/10
@-Damons__blood-: And I even feel a little sorry for Carlo. Of course, he occasionally behaved like an asshole, but you wouldn't wish such an end to life on anyone. First trapped in his body, then helplessly killed 🙎🏻♀️
- Alma! I can't keep up with you! You're always one kill ahead of me!
Amazing madness! An unexpected ending. Marc Cherry has an incredible sense and understanding of women and conveys the finest facets of the feminine essence in his series, in all the characters, great cast and amazing acting!
PS The third season can be filmed because Daddario's family has three children and Catherine's third sister is also an actress.😁
Whatever the story might be, it would be gorgeous with these outfits, beautiful actresses, but this series caught on with exactly the concept that was in the first season. This season is like those other series with a similar theme.
Scooter was the most normal character of the entire season. In general, I liked the series, it was the style of the 50s. It's very atmospheric and beautiful.
To be honest, I hoped that the second season would also have several stories ... on the other hand, one story for the whole season allowed the characters to open up as much as possible! Somehow I felt sorry for Rita in the end, although if you remember her past, she's still a bitch (but not a murderer)
Are you kidding me? Did Rita get killed? God, I hoped for happiness for her more than anything, it could have happened with a Scooter. She just realized the most important thing for herself, showed what she could be, and that's how she was leaked? So stupid, so... casually. I was sure that she had come there to chat with Alma for a reason, that it was some kind of plan that she and Grace had come up with. How she underestimated Almina shiza. Even after I realized not only about Carlo, but also about Isabelle. That's when I had to get out of her way and start making a fuss and stuff. But no, she turned her back on the maniac. How so?! And Alma felt like she'd been killed. It's not like sticking a needle in, there's blood and everything... I thought that was when she realized she was a monster, but no. No. Somehow I didn't expect all this. I didn't have love with the ending. I don't know, there was no happy ending for anyone, one Scooter seemed to get away with it. It didn't affect him much. Di... Well, I think she must have an injury. How to survive this at all xs. And it should be scary for a child with such genes. And I wouldn't want to be in Vern's place, I got related to a family of maniacs) Catherine wasn't arrested, which is also a disappointment. The moment when Alma raised her hands, and that blood - it, I admit, caused a crowd of goosebumps, chilled significantly, to the bones. But I couldn't enjoy it - the heavy burden on my heart from Rita's death just blurred everything.
@CatsGrin: If you only want happy endings, watch fairy tales. A wonderful ending!!! Your "caused a crowd of goosebumps, went well to the bone" testifies to the coolness of the season / series.
@seredi: I don't just want happy endings, but at least I could give it to someone. It got to me in a bad way in this case. The effect could have been 10 times cooler if they had slightly changed some points. Oh, and by the way, unsolicited advice is bad form in the last century. On a side note.
Don't throw stones, but the ending seemed too predictable and bland. Too much... simple, maybe. Until the last moment, I thought that they would twist it, and she would somehow get away with it
For a second in the hall, when they shouted that there was a dead woman in the alley, I thought that Alma had grabbed the first thing that came to hand and would start crushing everyone there so that no one would find out))) It had to be so twisted... My daughter says stop with tears in her eyes, but she doesn't even listen, you didn't tell me what I look like) she wanted to be known, she got it.
Season just a cannon 🤩 I'm already waiting for 3, the series is very encouraging, there were no such emotions even after the AI
I was very pleased with the plot, insanely exciting and something new about murder and madness.😍 I was so glad to see Lana for a long time, after the OVC, and I really liked the actress who played Alma, she just got used to it😈
I'm very upset. The first season was great, even despite the cringe pair from 2019. Here, the main character (I'm talking about Alma) causes a strange feeling of pity, smoothly turning into unbearable irritation. There's nothing good about her, an absolutely empty character. Even her husband was prescribed an interesting line that explains the cause of his injury, but what about it? Are you crazy because you're crazy? Well, yes, she finds out that her husband is a maniac, but she literally buries her neighbor in the bushes in the next episode, there is no drama or complicated moral choices there. They buried her in the garden! In the garden!!! To the depth that their daughter dug with her OWN HANDS!!! We've also seen a dog rummaging there a million times, but we haven't done anything!!! I'm already silent about the reason for all this. Telling the cops about the accident is too much, because it's so hard to come up with gossip for the police, because of which she could climb, but to bury In the GARDEN is very thoughtful. For 9 episodes, you're watching a terribly prescribed lunatic killing all the interesting characters in this series. And finally, I'd like to say a few words about the detective: he doesn't look at the photos he gives to clients. What the hell? He personally put them in an envelope, how could he not see? Because that's what the plot needs?
@engraf: I understand that the series does not pretend to be an incredible detective story and that's not the point at all, but such a number of ridiculous moments cannot be ignored, there must be a limit to everything.
I absolutely agree with you. I could barely stand the first few episodes, it was such a hopeless chain of absurdity. Of course, there's a completely different format here, there's not even anything to talk about. After the first one, where everything was so vital, everything is very theatrical here. In general, it's interesting, I was still drawn to find out how it would end, but the aftertaste is still kind of controversial.
Well, I liked the season no less than the first one. The exciting plot, vivid characters, and dialogues are amazing . Of course, the main character didn't arouse any sympathy at all. For some reason, I couldn't help comparing her to Batman from the first season . In fact, we see both of them as indecisive housewives at the beginning and see how they change throughout the season . But if Bethanne is admired, Alma is just disgusted and wants to punish her as soon as possible.
I'm sorry for Bertie, I'm even more sorry for Rita💔🥺
The second season has just come out, and I already want a third ahaha
I don't understand why many people compare this season with the first one. Yes, 1 was awesome, but 2 is also a bomb! They're just different, that's all. I am very pleased with the viewing! It's a cool feeling when you feel how emotions change towards the characters from the first episode to the finale. In the beginning, I felt very much for Alma and was on her side, but the kind of maniac she became in the end radically changed my friendly attitude towards her into terrible irritation and a wild desire for karma to overtake her. Very, very cool. I was touched by Bertie's love for his wife, even at death's door. By the way, although he is a serial killer in essence, he still has a kind soul and his motives were initially based on childhood trauma, and then only in the name of love, but at the same time his conscience was tormented. But Alma.. Just a psychopath. Dee and Verne are a ray of light in the dark realm. I am very happy to have a happy ending for these characters! Rita was really sorry at the end. I would like an open ending in the form of their future together with Scooter in New York.. But the scriptwriters decided to punish her anyway (let's not forget that she tried to drown Carlo in the bathroom). That's why it's a cool and fair ending. I'm looking forward to Season 3! ♥️
This is pi***ts comrades!! It was clear that Alma was going crazy! But the last conversation with Dee in the living room before the inauguration, when Dee revealed everything, and Alma only cared that her daughter did not compliment her, this scene is so terrible and selfish that you realize that everything has already gone crazy! And the scene with Rita is when she realizes that Alma not only framed her by killing her husband, but also killed the innocent cousin she loved! And her death, of course, to the point of tears. And how Scooter was looking for her everywhere... even Bertrum, who killed 25 people, turned out to be more adequate than his wife! What a good thing he didn't kill his son-in-law! The most appropriate characters are Dee, Vern and Grace.
@Катерина_Усенко: I didn't like Alma from episode 1, it was immediately clear that the person wouldn't stop. But Rita is very sorry, the character is interesting in fact, I would like her to be revealed even more, but she is already a beauty. Here's a gardening club that doesn't really do gardening, but rather a gossip girl club over tea.
When I first started watching this season, I was even upset that the feature of showing three women from different eras was not preserved for subsequent seasons. I didn't blink my eyes there, I switched to stories. However, this season turned out to be no less exciting, I liked these forks and cool plot moves. Perhaps the best of the last TV series I've watched!
Compared to the first season, this one turned out to be much weaker. Fewer interesting characters, less intrigue. There is no epoch change as expected. And the story itself is not that deep. Alma, who is turning from a downtrodden quiet person into a murderer and a villainess, well, it doesn't look convincing. I didn't really empathize with Rita either, yes, she has a difficult past, but I don't want to justify some of her actions. Cutie is a veterinarian.Over the course of the series, viewers forget that he is still a maniac, and this is not the norm. The scooter is too stupid. In general, this season everything is grotesque and does not look particularly appropriate. The only pleasant line is with Dee and Vernan. It's good that they got a happy ending. If there is a third season, I hope it will be made in the spirit of the first.
Regarding the first season, the series was disappointing. Not only does most of the key points look absolutely implausible, but there is also absolutely no message. In the first season, the motives for the murders were to fight for themselves or their loved ones. This is a whim and a lost roof. If it had been a separate series about maniacs, for example, it probably wouldn't have left such a negative impression. I sincerely don't understand people who think that the series "holds the bar" for the first season.
Now, I'm being hushed up here, but I didn't like the season. And I didn't like the script (it would have been great as a separate story with its own name), but rather as the second season of the series "Why Women Kill." The first season was very interestingly assembled from three stories of different women from different eras, with different motives. The only thing worth it was the murder scene itself in the last episode, when the three tenses overlapped. Pure delight. Here, all that remains of the first season is the excellent sense of humor of the scriptwriters and an excellent cast selection. At the same time, the plot is absolutely linear and there are no "turns". It turned out to be a good story, beautifully shot, with excellent actors... But this is not "Why women kill", this is exactly what "Alma in the Bloody Garden" is about
A great season, definitely better than the modern couple from the first season. I don't understand commentators at all who are looking for some reason why and don't see a motive... according to your logic, Dostoevsky can be charged for Raskolnikov. "Am I a trembling creature, or do I have the right?"
I've been sitting with that face for the last 15 minutes, but the second season turned out better than the first! I'm in shoke The beginning is so funny, it would seem, but at the end I just don't have the words, it's been a long time since I've had such emotions from the series.
The first season, of course, completely captivated me, the second is also not bad, but a little weak, the ending is unexpected, but there were a lot of absurd moments when watching.
I liked this season better than the first one! I watched it "in one gulp". In the first episodes, Alma liked it so much.. In the latter, it caused only disgust. Rita, on the other hand, was admired almost throughout the entire season. I feel very sorry for her ((although this is probably the best outcome for her character. In general, in the end, everything is in its place, I'm happy)
It's a great season, Marc Cherry obviously missed the style of "Desperate Housewives" as much as we did))
The voiceover at the beginning, the colors in places, the style of music and narration, the detective story with a touch of absurdity, the secrets in the closet (Bertram's box from the first episode is literally like a box from the last frames of the series, which was brought by the next tenants), Rita's story with her lover as a light homage to Gaby, almost taken on the role of Rita Eva Longoria ... Ah)
Well.... In the first season, it was at least a little vital and realistic. And the second season is just too hyperbolized, it does not cause sympathy for any character. Boring.
The first season, apparently, set the bar too high for the directors. I didn't like the second one. Alma was turned into a serial killer. No beauty, lightness, or reflection. It feels like the writers were sitting there and decided, "Let's kill someone every episode in the second half of the Alma season." Well, komon! I'll review the first season one day, but certainly not the second. Unfortunately, even Lana didn't pull it out for me.
In general, the season is not bad, it was interesting, especially the first part of the season I watched right in one breath, then of course they started to introduce trash, Alma completely moved out, killed right and left. I won't say that this season is much worse than the first, they are both good in their own way, but the finale in the first was more interesting, everything turned out to be somehow crumpled. I liked the cast, all the actors played well.
A powerful season came out, I liked it. It's interesting how gradually Alma is overcome by madness. After all, everything started out differently, and we had completely different feelings at the beginning. And now here it is. Alma's madness reminded the mother of the main mountain and the "Requiem for a Dream", she also dreamed so much about that very one moment, a special day, a day of glamour and fame. And it's the same here. Maybe the voiceover is right, you can't think of a better ending for Alma.
Alma has a murder case specifically. To kill everyone in a row, and why not... Yeah, of course, he's a character. Rita feels a little sorry in her own way. She wanted to get out of the quagmire, she didn't see the shores after, and when she did, it was too late. A scooter. It's nice that they revealed a little bit of the character, because he was real with only one person, Rita. And he played a role with the others. Dee and Verne are just a delight for the eyes and a perfect relationship. We've been happy all season. Bertie. He's still a maniac on the grounds of childhood, but he certainly won't surpass his wife. At least he managed to leave beautifully and peacefully. Catherine, that's a woman. It's just a pity that she and the butler were just leaked by running away. There is a sense of understatement. And, of course, Isabelle is a wonderful sarcasm and protection of her cousin no matter what.
The season is good, in its own way, but it's good. I just missed the more intricate weaves like in season 1.
Yeah, it's so stupid to merge a good series. It's a complete disappointment. After giving the first season five stars, I'm giving this one one. Day and night. It's not even worthy to put it next to it. It was necessary to close the series after the first season.
It's quite an interesting season. Many praised that he was better than the first one. But the concept of the first season itself- where the plot was about three different families at different times - was more interesting. I'll give the season 7/10. For the most part, for the beloved and beautiful Lana Parria
I watched both seasons in one gulp. Previously, I was somewhat biased against this concept of "Why women kill", I beat around the bush, but in the end I sat down to watch and ... drowned in this atmosphere. I am delighted with all these stories, despite some slightly illogical actions (for example, pesel has already dug that place in the garden, why not hide the corpse for his own safety or get rid of it altogether?), I am delighted with the effects (when in the first season three stories were combined into one, in at the very end).
I really liked the actors, besides, the series reveals a lot of "women's" problems, which sometimes women themselves simply keep silent about (or were silent in those days, although now such roles are played by the same gray housewife who lives in the shadow of her husband; or the wife of a tyrant husband who successfully beats and terrorizes her — unfortunately, they also occur in real life).
The second season is weak. I wasn't even particularly interested in how it would end. They were surprised by Rita's death. It was unnecessary. I liked how Alma and Rita switched places.
Mixed impressions of the season. Very colorful actors, the most beautiful picture, but the plot... Bury a corpse in your own garden in a shallow hole and let a dog in there, which obviously senses the owner? To take things from the deceased's house and put them in the most prominent places at home (they wanted to return and did not!!!), realizing that sooner or later they would start looking for her and shaking everything and everyone? No, it's not pale at all. I thought maybe they still didn't know how to take fingerprints, and all this is excusable - it turned out they did. What kind of recklessness is this? How did they survive so long undisclosed? And okay, Alma - she's a beginner in this business, so to speak, and her cuckoo has moved out quickly. But hubby! It's not the first time he's masked his tracks.
In general, Alma and her attempts to appear to be someone she is not, from the very beginning, caused me a hellish feeling of anxiety, as if I was lying and getting out of it, and I would soon be discovered. It's better to be yourself calmly and have dignity in it than to support so many lies and wallow in it deeper and deeper.
@twenty-ten: And what is it all about? to get gossip in the most boring club, where they sit with nothing to do. It's like being at school. Alma is a very emotionally immature and narrow-minded woman
@subject_13: The actress is very cool, she just plays the beast superbly. How Daddario played the crazy one superbly last season, so that I started to be afraid of her
Yeah. In the first season, after active hints that the murders in all time parallels would be due to jealousy, it turned out that everything was not so simple, that the reasons for the murders were unrealistic and somewhere one could even understand the arguments of the ladies. There's only dumb envy and complexes here. Ugh
Rita shouldn't have died, she deserved to be happy, why wasn't she appreciated so much? She's the kind of person who fought her way through humane methods unlike everyone else!
The concept of the first season was great, it went in one go, it was very interesting to watch. What about the second one? Well, not a bad cast That was the end of the good The plot is weak, banal, it was boring to watch, and the season was "finishing off" simply because there was nothing else to watch. Alas and ah, the second season was disappointing. Against the background of the first one, it was very weak, I expected much more.
@Deathcore: I'll give you a plus. The actors are very pleasant and charismatic, the plot is absolutely amazing. This kind of tortured plot usually happens on the tenth season, when the scriptwriters are completely exhausted and repeat themselves.
That's what happens to those who blindly pursue their goals and go over their heads. I don't feel sorry for Alma at all. I tried to understand her, but I couldn't. As a result, I got what I so desperately wanted-"fame". Everyone gets what they deserve. It's just a pity for the others who "got under the distribution"
the same thing, in some places it was a little intriguing, but in general, the first season with its format and extremely bright characters left much more impressions.
I liked the second season a lot more than the first. The spirit of "Desperate Housewives" is felt! Marc Cherry holds the stamp. Hopefully, there will be a third season.
If you look at it like a comic book, then you can. And if you pay attention to the details, then this circus certainly does not stand up to criticism. Boilerplate, cardboard, absolutely unreliable. There are no such people. And it doesn't happen that everything works out so well for everyone. Well, as in desperate housewives in general. Girls love this))
And I've been worried about Alma all season. I'm glad she's happy after all. Rita hadn't caused any feelings all season, and it didn't matter if she died. Although, of course, she doesn't deserve it. But it was pretty stupid to go into a conversation with a murderer with nothing, and at the same time turn your back on her. Bertie left with dignity. I really enjoyed the season.
At first, I felt sorry for Rita, they say, she just wanted to live a different life (in fact, she would have moved to another city and started seducing a new rich old man) as such a misfortune happened..but in fact, if she had left Alma and didn't want to take revenge on her, she might have lived happily and stayed alive, although if you look at it from the other side, if Rita hadn't come and found out the whole truth, Alma wouldn't have been bothered, given that Bertie took the blame on himself. Also, judging by the ending, Alma turned out to have some kind of mental diagnosis based on lack of attention.. The season is too creepy for me. Of course, this season should not be compared with the first, because they are radically different, but still, I liked the first one more, because last season all the murders were somehow justified, and this Alma wanted to kill everyone indiscriminately..
@id_mrs_g: Yes, everyone feels so sorry for Rita, although she decided to take revenge on her mother for her daughter's act (very logically). The two main characters don't shine with intelligence. One is kissing her lover under the windows of the mansion (no one will see, of course. There is only one maid in the giant house :) there are no gardeners or guards). Another is burying a corpse in her garden.
I don't want to compare both seasons, because the only common theme is "why women kill." And here, as it seems to me, the topic is revealed. Unless season 1 wins because there was more suspense in the final episode. The question remains open to me personally, why was Alma's former boyfriend needed, the one from school...?
Why does everyone feel sorry for Rita, she would have killed anyone if they had crossed her path. I never liked her, and neither did the whole gardening club. The selfish and arrogant club. 😒
@Anyuta_Noskova: they feel sorry for her because, impoverished, she lost her arrogance and became kind of cute. Before the first rich old man, then I would have done exactly the same thing. They didn't show us that she had rethought anything.
An ugly story about ugly people. At the same time, the costumes, the colors, the places are amazing. I watched it on rewind and with some disgust. The first season wasn't exactly head-on, but full-length better than that.
It's an obvious ending, for a place in the sun, sometimes people themselves don't understand what kind of filth they commit. The only thing is, everything comes at a price. The series is worth watching, sometimes even intriguing.
Great cast, beautiful picture, but otherwise the season is kind of cardboard. Compared to the first one, in my opinion, it loses a lot, although I liked the parallel at the end of Rita-Alma and the final scene, revealing Alma's blossoming madness completely. As it was, I often paused because I didn't feel like watching episodes in one go.
Even more likely, I disagree with the fact that I feel incredibly sorry for Rita in the end. Yes, she realized some things, but in general, the character was rather repulsive throughout the season, albeit charismatic. Rita had been bullying everyone around her for years and was quite ready to take care of Alma's family too, even if it didn't come to that, the veterinarian's wife was the first to go crazy.
A lot of people here are praising the finale of the first season, but I hardly remember it at all. Well, except that Lucy Liu was in a wheelchair and that there was the same house in all three lines) Here, the finale turned out to be a bit crumpled, a lot of things were crammed into the last episode. But I liked the picture and the atmosphere.
Yes, no, it's quite a good season, I watched with pleasure , I'm especially happy for Dee and Verna that everything is fine with them, the most worthy characters of the season
If you don't compare this season with the last one, then it was a success. It's completely independent, with a plot, development, and intrigues. It's a four-plus.
But considering what the first one was, it gets a little sad. The first season was an extravaganza. Costumes, heroines, beautiful plot moves and intertwining the destinies of people and even generations. And the second one started quite intriguingly, and the fact that the scriptwriters did not use the chips of the previous season gave hope for new, even more interesting and beautiful ones. But... By the middle of the season, hopes had sunk into oblivion. There were no worthy intrigues or interesting plot twists. The beginning, which showed us the plump and kind Bertie, who "helped to leave" seriously ill people and the quiet Alma, peeking through the window at the cream of society, descended to Alma's cuckoo gone wild and countless murders. And there are a lot of plot inconsistencies, questions and important conversations left behind the scenes - from above, like the icing on the cake. Nice line, and True. Beautiful Rita and her costumes. The pretty face of Scooter, who turned out to be quite a good person. It seems like I'm repeating myself - not bad, but not bad and I don't want to review it.
I feel most sorry for Bertram. Of course, everything started because of him and his passion, and because of Alma's desire to be a member of the club..but damn, he still took the lives of the suffering, and was ready to give it up, realizing that he was drowning out the trauma. But he was really a kind and good man who loved his family.
And I feel sorry for Rita in the end, too. She may have been terrible, but her "crimes" are not comparable to what Alma did. And in the end, she was no longer despicable.
I was very pleased that Dee and Vern stayed together. That's just the lightest thing. Dee is generally a cutie, and Vern is just a good person.
The main character is clearly mentally ill. I'll speak for myself - the first season is better. I liked the atmosphere of the 40s here. It's a good series, we'll be waiting for the sequel.
Well, it's not a bad series, but it's also not the best one I've watched. Rita is just a beauty. In my opinion, there are a lot of events in one episode, I won't have time to understand what happened in the last episode, and then everything else happened. As for me, a lot of things were obvious. But I'm not saying that the series is bad)
Weaker than the first season. But the first season was just a cannon, so it's not surprising. Nevertheless, the plot of the second season is very exciting. It's a bit boring, probably due to the lack of characters and storylines (compared to the first season). The characters are solid and intriguing, Alma became insane almost imperceptibly, Rita also imperceptibly begins to sympathize, in general, the season was a success. We are waiting for the wonderful return of the series in the third season!
To be honest , after such a start to the season , I expected something more from the final .I thought it would be better than the first one, judging by the first half of the season... but after this episode, the first one is still better.I wonder what they'll come up with for season 3.
Well, finally I watched this series)) Not to say that I got carried away with him right away, from the first episode (as it was, for example, with Desperate Housewives, and we remember that they have the same director). But in the end, I really liked the first season and the second! The first one is a little bigger, by design, by plot. And the second one is cool, thanks to the actors, you can especially enjoy the game of a gorgeous woman and actress, Lana Parria.😍🥰 The surroundings are both excellent, it's a pleasure to watch) I'm waiting for season 3 now.
Everyone got what they deserved. The ending is good. For the last couple of episodes, I was afraid that Dee would have to pay back for her parents' business, but thank you for not touching her.
Great season; I enjoyed it just as much as the first one. The storylines are perfectly intertwined with each other, and the ending with Alma on the red carpet is gorgeous.
A woman's simple desire to become more visible has turned into a hell of a lot. An interesting season with beautiful parallels, but somehow for a long time. Cut it down for a couple of episodes and it would be fine!
The first season was almost a comedy, it looked easy, and the second one turned out to be kind of gloomy, which, in general, is not surprising based on the final scene.
I am completely shocked by the news of the closure! I really hope that some other channel will save the series, you can't just shut down such a great series.💔
@solarem: we probably won't find out, at least now there is no official statement on this matter. It's strange, of course, first they extended it for season 3, and then they closed it, it's a shame (
@nastku666: -- Rita, you have a luxurious fur coat, a beautiful car...Most people would kill to have what you have :// -"I expect support from you, Isabel, not objectivity.
I feel terribly sorry for Rita. I would like a different ending for her. Lana's performance throughout the season was top notch!
Alma, of course, heads off! I have no words!
The finale of the first season, in my opinion, turned out to be more emotional and interesting. But the second season took place. I can safely give the series 5 stars out of a possible 5 here! The script, the cast, the work of the costumers in both seasons are aerobatics!
It's been a rough season. The actors, costumes, and sets are great, but the plot is full of holes in places, although the twists are in place. I didn't like how Katherine was leaked, how stupidly Rita was removed, and the fact that Scooter easily returned to his lifestyle, ignoring everything that happened. The latter is generally the most poorly written character. One minute he gets into Katherine, the next he loves Rita, even though he cheated on her with Alma's daughter. In general, mixed feelings remained after watching: it seems cool, but there are still questions about the plot.
Much weaker than the first season both in plot and acting. But I liked it anyway, it was very beautifully and effectively shot. Alma went like a cuckoo, it happens (((
Rita's death is painful, but expected, Lana is a goddess, why isn't she invited to a big movie, because everything is in place - unreal beauty, charisma, amazing acting!? I was afraid that Alma would get away with it, because in fact she could easily throw everything on her husband, who would gladly "atone for all her sins", but in the end her nerves gave out and everything did not go according to plan. The season is good if we consider it separately. It's a pity that the series was closed, it's a very interesting idea.
Dresses, dresses, special thanks to the costumers, because literally all of Rita's outfits are art, and even in this series she looked great, although not as bright as in the previous ones.
Yeah, this season is nowhere near the first season. As something separate with a different name, it's still okay, but what does "why do women kill? " If in fact the whole story revolves around an inadequate, crazy Alma, who is just disgusting to look at. And what is all this for? Become famous? I didn't like the season at all
The shock of all shocks, when she was really ready to kill her son-in-law. I remember Bree getting pretty stuck up in housewives, but she did a lot for the kids. But there was nothing stopping Alma, just nothing. The cuckoo flew off completely
This is the finale. After all, the second season is very different from the first. If the first is a drama with a good ending, then the second is a thriller with a bad ending. Alma went crazy and ruined so many lives. I'm glad that none of this has affected Dee and she's doing well. I killed a moment with Rita. Well, she decided to start all over again, she had someone to go with. Why go to sort things out and prove something to someone again? To return to this elite? Duck, everyone knew her past, they wouldn't have accepted her anyway. Annoy Alma? In the end, I only made it worse for myself. I'd leave with the kid and that'd be it..
The first season was easy, of course, the second season is much inferior, but in the end it became more interesting, so the plot was not badly wrapped up.
I don't understand people who spit a lot from the second season. Yes, it's not nearly as good as the first season, no doubt, but this one is also quite good, and it was wrapped up and kept in suspense for a while, the humor is very good in places.. However, there were mixed feelings from the finale, somehow everything turned out to be too crumpled, in my opinion. I got special pleasure from the actors playing the roles of Alma, Vern and Rita.
I'm really sorry for Rita, I hoped until the last moment that she wasn't really dead, but just injured and they could save her, well, at least Dee and the detective are fine, and thanks for that)
"There was no reason to go crazy and become a psychopath." Her husband killed 26 people, a neighbor's corpse was in the garden, her enemy Rita and her daughter had one lover between them. In my opinion, there are just a lot of reasons. Plus, she was driven crazy pretty consistently, so she dressed up like ladies, so she was threatened, so she threatened, so she decided to take revenge, first the murder seemed to be in order to set a trap for Rita, then in order to get out, and then just killing for the sake of killing
@Vva: but she didn't even blink when she found out that her daughter had a lover! She just didn't care. So is the husband-killer, who survived for two days, and then began to cry to him that he would kill the one who interferes with her. Dee found out that both of her parents were вбивці murderers, didn't she?
Some of the characters were just boring and uninteresting, like Catherine or cardboard scooter, Alma, Rita and their circle of gardeners caused disgust, even the rest did not really want to watch. In general, the amount of disgusting and ridiculous exceeded all the norms, in the end I just wanted to look at something pleasant already... Dee was incredibly sorry when she found out that it was her mother who told her secret...And when she realized how much she wasn't interested in her(( and Bertram was sorry, because even at the time of his death, Alma was busy with herself and only herself...And he still saw in her the one he married(( glad that at least he didn't know what her end was. Scooter disappointed, believed him when he planned to go with Rita, and he remained the same...
Of course, the first season was stronger. But this one was also screwed up. Alma's really gone off the rails. I'm sorry for Rita, I'm sorry she didn't leave. I'm very impressed with Lana
If this season had been released as a separate series, it would have had a different fate and completely different ratings. So why do women kill? They showed me why maniacs kill. The husband is an ideological serial killer, but in an adequate way, the wife is extremely insane, and there were no more murderers. There were some attempts in a state of passion, after which everyone survived. Including the hapless husband, who pierced the detective's leg, and was only needed to show the soul of the beautiful impulses of Dee.)) He, and the former Alma Mater at Atotavern and Mrs. Yost's nephew, are generally indistinct characters. They got a face, a name, screen time, and their appearance promised a plot twist or a mini-story, but nothing like that happened. I've watched the first season in parts or in its entirety more than once. I'm unlikely to get a second one.
The analogy is wonderful! a great series, a good season, but there wasn't enough zest , I really liked the dialogues, they're straight to funny quotes, it's very funny the first season is still the best ever , and I have a question, why did they introduce the handsome ex-boyfriend of Alma's classmate? the branch was never developed, but the accent was
I will definitely recommend this series to my friends, but only the first season. It's hard to say that the second season is bad, but the vibe of the first is completely lost. This is something completely different.
The first season justifies the name of the series more. In the second one, a woman kills...
You know, at first Bertram seemed terrible because of his hobbies, but by the end of the series he feels very sorry for him. He also understood his contribution to his wife's madness and, as a man, tried to take the brunt of it. "Goodbye, my beautiful girl"- even before his death, he saw in her the woman he loved. A symbolic parallel is glasses as a souvenir. The parallels with the clothes of the main characters are also very interesting.
I feel very sorry for Rita, despite all her sins. But knowing that Alma had committed so many murders, Ritusik went to meet her, not armed with anything - logic. In fact, she shouldn't have clung to her gigolo or her revenge on Alma at all.: I would have gone to New York, I would not have been sad. Why did I freak out - Vern was in my eyes when he was developing a photo compromise, how could you not notice Alma there?! Maybe I missed something, but it caught my eye...
Overall, I'm thrilled with the series. It's sad that it was closed. Of course, the first season looked fresher, with a more versatile plot and an amazing connection of "strings" at the end. The second season is great too, but it would be better if the plot was diluted with other storylines and tied together at the end. (๑˘︶˘๑)
Sweet serial killer Bertie, lived by his own rules, and left by them. And with what style) Music, candles, roses... It's just a pity that his wife had not been so romantic for a long time. He made the last, most desperate sacrifice for her, and in his last moments, instead of spending them with her husband, she ran around with her fantastic ideas on how else to fix everything. Although Bertie really got quite a decent ending. Much better than Rita and Isabelle, who just got hit by Alma's rink when it was already unstoppable. Despite everything they were doing, that's who I really felt sorry for. Lana is generally a great type to play repentant Evil Queens. It's just a pity that her characters never get a happy ending. I was also very worried about Dee and Vern. I am glad that they managed to survive and preserve each other in the whirlpool of this family. In general, the series is, of course, gorgeous! Just like his caste. It's a pity that we were given only 2 seasons, but they were each good in their own way. My favorite, like many, was season 1, and especially the line of the 80s: the beautiful Lucy Liu in the role of Simon and her witty husband, with whom they were all able to get through, while maintaining such a reverent attitude towards each other, won my heart.
I didn't expect such a second season at all. At first, I was upset because the first one's chips were safely left overboard. But gradually I tasted this dish and I will say that it is seasoned no worse than the past))) Really, it was so interesting for me to follow the story that the series just clicked. And here, unlike the first one, the ending is not predictable at all! I mean, it's understandable about Alma, but damn, I never expected the death of Rita, Isabel, and such a tight ball of thread. It's amazing how much I don't feel sorry for anyone at all - the story has found a logical conclusion for each character, and I +/- agree with everyone. And I'm really happy for Vern and Dee, my favorite characters here. It's good that everything worked out for them despite the circumstances. I am grateful to the cast and the creators of the series - I had a very exciting time here)) It's a pity, the series could have been continued, since it's an anthology.
I don't know how much worse the second season is for me than the first ... If it were a separate project, and not the second season, I wouldn't even watch it, the main character is absolutely not a charismatic character, it's not about looks, but about the lack of charisma and interesting character, in the first season each of the three gg caused sympathy and interest, each aroused sympathy and understanding, I really wanted to know who they were killing and why, how their story would end, but here, I don't know, it's not mine at all. The first season is much better for me personally, especially since there is a parallel development of three time periods that unite the house and strong women. He looks fresher, brighter, more colorful, something new and catchy, an abundance of characters with interesting fates, beautiful scenery, costumes, everything is so lively and even a little exaggerated. I don't disagree with the fact that someone might like the season, but I repeat, if it were a separate project, I wouldn't even look at it (
The costumers in this series have done a great job) - this is the time Two - how interestingly the scriptwriters turned out, killing everyone they assumed they would kill in the end, that this was eventually a happy ending - this is a cool scenario trick (and a psychological one, given Alma's crazy mindset)
I like how Alma's disclosure is shown from episode to episode. And as we increasingly understand from her phrases and actions how bloodthirsty she is. One bad deed that gets away with it, and a person feels unpunished. A wonderful season
Alma got fucked up at the end, really I felt sorry for everyone except her The man no longer saw any boundaries Murder (or attempt) after murder And Rita and her sister are very sorry , Yes, they may not have been models for behavior, but they certainly did not deserve to die And Rita was also bleeding profusely, dying painfully.. Bertram couldn't stand it all, no wonder I hope that at least their daughter will be able to live this life without psychological trauma
Overall, it's a good season, I liked it. a little less than the previous one, but still. It's a pity that we didn't continue this feature with different time frames. and the trope of a woman married to an old man, dreaming of her husband's death and having a young lover is quite beaten, but here he was well beaten
Season 2 and season 1 are two different series. And I don't really like season 2. If there was a drive after 1, now there is an unpleasant aftertaste in my soul. If season 1 had a moral, then season 2 is just a comedy with black humor without morality. Alma was disgusted. As they say in detective series: "they kill for less", but here the reason for all her murders is a mental disorder. I feel sorry for all her victims. I feel sorry for all her husband's victims. It's a pity for the neighbor they didn't give a decent funeral to. It's a pity for the beautiful singer from the first series. I'm terribly sorry for Rita. A possible happy ending for Rita and Alphonse was an interesting twist, and her death ruined everything. And it was also proved that Scooter didn't care about her. I don't even know if I feel sorry for Bertram. Interestingly, he was left alive to be killed in the end. It happens. He and Alma ended up being the perfect couple, that's for sure.
Hopefully, Dee will write a book about her crazy parents, shovel money and earn a house for herself, her husband and child. Let her parents at least invest so much in her future, if they couldn't otherwise. To think about it, she and her pregnancy (and marriage) were in the background for her parents. At first I thought that Vern was investigating the case in vain, because Rita would not pay him for a house for a child, and then I remembered that the voice-over said that Vern was doing this because of his beliefs, and not for money. Vern is a really good person.
P.S. Was the nurse at the hospital the same woman Rob cheated on Beth Ann with, or was it my imagination?? And I also know the doctor as a serial killer from the TV series Bones. And from somewhere else... xD
Oh, to be honest, I felt sorry for Rita in the end. I also feel sorry for Bertie . In short , season 2 is no worse than season 1 ! It's a pity that the series was closed, I would love to watch season 3.
I didn't expect this from the second season. I thought there would be something similar to the first one, but the differences are very big. The first season is good and the second is even better) I'm shocked, of course, with Alma.. Who she was in the beginning and who she became in the end. In fact, she can be said to have replaced Rita in this club. And the way she left her husband's glasses as a souvenir killed me altogether.. Alma just fell in front of my eyes.. Series 9 and 10 are the most touching and reveal all the cruel but pure reality and truth. "Crushing enemies is the best cosmetics" Alma liked getting rid of enemies so much that she began to enjoy it and she was pleased. What she has become cannot be compared to what Rita was like.. In general, it's a great series, I really liked watching it, it's quite humorous and interesting. I recommend it for viewing)
The series is good, but the second season falls short of the first. I don't know if the characters didn't arouse interest, or if the chosen one time period didn't suit the series, but I watched it only in the background, unlike the first season, which was just great and from which it was impossible to tear myself away.
The season as a whole was not bad for me. Beautifully shot. But in my opinion, it is certainly inferior to the first one. It was interesting how to get out of it, Alma, who ended up burrowing into these murders herself. And all for the sake of being noticed. And in the end, she went completely cuckoo🤦🏻♀️
Hooray, my comment was deleted, thank you In general, I'm writing my opinion about the series. The first season was definitely better, especially because there were as many as 3 parallels. It's clearly a dimmer season here. Alma destroyed her marriage by herself, which seemed so wonderful to me. I'm glad that everything turned out well for Dee and Vern 4/5
It seems like a good and logical ending to me, but it's a pity that Catherine wasn't shown again in the end. It's a great series, and I'm really glad that I decided to watch it in the end.
I felt very sorry for Dee, who had to go through the hidden horrors of her family in her right mind. I'll assume that in the last episode, Alma put a tag on her husband's glasses to take all the blame for her husband's actions (as if the collection was hers) and whitewash his honor. Therefore, Dee might not have found out the whole truth, and at least her father remained a good man in her eyes. Actually, Dee turned out to be a pleasant character for me. I am glad that she has a good and honest person next to her who will help her get through this.
The amazing thing about Bertram is that despite the fact that he is a serial killer, he sincerely aroused sympathy and sympathy. How well the creators played this card, making you feel ambivalent.
And the other characters were well discovered from different sides.: Scooter is an infantile, but not at all a mean guy who responds warmly to those who love him. Catherine is a woman hardened by her father's attitude and loneliness, who wants to love and be loved by someone. Rita is cruel, but she is also capable of loving those who were around, not only because of her status. Life was cruel to her, and I think that explains her rough exterior.
Alma is probably the most difficult character for me in this story. She was getting crazier with each episode. It seemed to me that there were prerequisites for this, and the personal crisis and the truth about my husband became the trigger to go completely cuckoo. She scares and repels, but I can't say that I don't have sympathy for her. In all that was happening to her, there seemed to be few options to turn onto the right path. The only thing that could have prevented this chain of terrible events was timely psychiatric treatment, but probably at that time this field of medicine was not well developed 🫣
The second season feels like a completely different series, and I liked it no less than the first. It would be interesting to see the psychological analysis of the characters.
the second season is clearly inferior to the first. the visual is not the same, the actions of the heroines are less prescribed and logical. strange feelings after the end of the season, I thought something might change by the end, and then even more mess and nonsense. and yet, my favorite novel was with Simone, and it remains.
I can't even decide which season I liked more, of course season 2 is good, well, I expected to see a sequel. I didn't think it would be two completely different stories.
Alma considered Rita a monster after she found out that she had prevented her from joining the club, but she did not notice how she had turned into an even bigger monster.
That's the ending!!! A masterpiece! ❤️ Alma just lost her mind… she was so filled with her dream of being a famous diva that she saw no obstacles in her path... a terrible woman turned out to be, accumulated all her anger and poured into fierce hatred for everyone and everything It's a good season, I shouldn't have put off watching it!
It's still a good season, even if they've been twirling and twirling. Alma was already infuriating to the point of shaking at the end, I'm really glad that she didn't get drunk, but will be punished. The shock was caused by the fact that she decided to "substitute" herself instead of Bertram, apparently, her conscience turned on for a minute.
I really liked the first season of the series, but the second one didn't go very well. There were high expectations, but everything was a failure. In my opinion, there is no need to continue the series.
I liked the second season better! In the first one, it's not interesting at all to look at the time period where the three were, and here all the characters have a twist, but the ending slightly spoiled the impression.

Discussion: Season 2, Episode 10 Join the Discussion
466rip, rita castillo 💔 🥺
it's amazing how everything turned upside down. it was expected that the main villain of the season will be the heroine Lana, but in fact you will sympathize with her almost more than anyone else. the transformation of Alma from sweet tikhona to a crazy truck, ready to cut anyone on its way, just blows the brain.
I caught a spoiler about Rita's death before watching it, and even from this scene I expected more emotions. in general, I liked the season, in terms of the plot, the first, of course, is inferior, but also in its own way good. thank you so much to the showrunners and actors, great job, guys!
and God, invite Lana Parria to Season Three, please, she's such a goddess, we need more ❤ ️ ❤
Bertie:
- Honey, I can't keep up with you, you're always one kill ahead of me.
🤣👍🏻
who's in red, that's the boss)
by the way, at the time of the murders in the first season, all three main characters were in red just right.
apparently Cherry has a thing for red.
It also seems to me that only with Rita, the Scooter is sincere and real. With the rest, he plays the image.
Alma bought a gun, her husband's reaction:
- You scared me!
Isabella was beautiful, she loved scenes with her very much.
I am not, and your comment is offensive to me.
If Catherine hadn't returned home earlier, Rita would have killed Carlos without the slightest remorse. She changed later, yes, but you can't take away the things she did.
Well, this is what Alma wanted, and this is what she got.
But, as usual, by distorting reality in his head...
If you look, for example, in the Cambridge Dictionary , here is what we have: https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/infamous
The only definition that is given there, I quote: "famous for something considered bad" -known for something that is considered bad.
Dishonor is somewhat different, though.
This is a direct quote (and therefore highlighted with quotes). The version from the dubbing studio.
They took advantage of the richness and diversity of the Russian language and correctly used the word "dishonor".
The version of "bad PR is also PR" is scarce.
Here they offered the glory of Herostratus. And it's not even close to a literal translation, but the wash of the original conveys much better.
You took the phrase out of context (don't do that), and translated it with a dictionary.
Perhaps "infamy" would be closer, because it is the same root as "glory", as in the original. But don't find fault with every word, by God.
The suit got on her. So other things also quietly moved, and Mrs. Just's nephew most likely could not know what was in his aunt's closet, he only noticed the loss of household and interior things
It was like she became Rita, even became the president of the club, finally got rid of who she was before. So in her head she really achieved a triumph, I think.
Alma: "I killed Rita"
I didn't expect Alma to hate Rita SO much that she would want her dead....a bloody vendetta in all its glory.
One of them was killing people right and left for the ladies' club. How can this be compared at all
I can't consider it a happy ending, even despite the music at the end. Although the words that Alma got her attention and finally became happy are worth a lot. It seems to me that in the modern world, many of us do not know what we want, and whether they will be happy if they get the desire - the goal definitely does not justify the means, judging by this season.
Alma just went off the rails out of envy and killed everyone indiscriminately. There is no sympathy for the character, and there is not much interest.
The ending is generally zero, especially considering how Rita was leaked
The first season is mostly about just retribution or jealousy.
The second one is for the sake of achieving the goal.
If there is a third one, it is quite possible that they will choose a different motive. It would be strange to film on the same subject.
In the first, the actors ' play, plausibility, the plot is not clumsy and logical (where does Alma get money for dresses starting from the 3rd series)
It's just creepy: Alma with two facial expressions, Catherine there too.
At the same time, it's nice to see how many others played interesting. But I just wanted to squander the series
Of course, I expected Alma's heroine to be reborn and give up her principles, but I didn't expect the flask to shine so much.
The ending is great, especially the scene where she goes like a "star."
Yes, Alma's desire for fame and appreciation is shown in a very exaggerated way in the series, but there are people in life who want to be noticed.
So Alma just had a gynecologist and psychiatrist, but it was the ' 60s, the glory of ignorance among the masses and blinkers ;D
There is early, there is normal, there is late.
60 years old is just a late x)
there were good moments, the actors and costumers just bravo, but the screenwriters let us down a little:(Alma didn't deserve a good ending, even like this
Apparently, the desire to become a better person pushed Alma over the edge of her psyche, because I can't explain these murders in any other way, a la "He/she is bothering me, I need a prick".
Rita 💔
And Rita is gorgeous in any outfit. 💖
I thought the end of the last episode would kill your mother, but no, it turned out there were flowers.
Alma is a maniac horror
One day, Lana's heroines will have a happy ending (yes, I don't think Regina has a decent ending in OATS)
, but this ending with Rita broke my heart. The
only thing that pleased me was that Dee, Vern and their baby were okay.
It's a shame that in the end they didn't mention her in any way at the end, although she is one of the main characters of the series...
Judging by the ending, Alma has already had a cuckoo.
, and the outfits alone
are probably the most favorite.
Lana is the decoration of this season 💎
'Here's what I've come to learn about Alma Fillcot. She is a sweet-talking vampire, and if she'd fought for the Nazis, we'd all be speaking German.'
And here it makes no sense
I am very grateful for the existence of such a character as the inimitable Alma Filmrage, because it is so rare to feel a constant surge of hatred when watching something. It's just a shame that the season has come down to the height of madness in this woman. I wanted to see some kind of justice, but on the contrary, she only got high on the path to death. and, of course, I wanted to see my beloved Rita again in a beautiful outfit and in a new life, not dead))
I've been enjoying the video series for the 2nd season already) and the reasons to kill women, of course))
I was already prepared for Alma to completely lose her mind and kill the entire gardening club) or do something equally creepy.
The final scene is, of course, gorgeous :) Madness in all its glory
Overall, after finishing the second season, it's safe to say that it was beautiful, good, but weaker than the first
Bertram's death is logical, he died from his own weapon, although, to be honest, I felt a little sorry for him.
In general, I liked the season, atmospheric, beautiful, sometimes glamorous, I will not compare with the first one - they are different and each is beautiful in its own way
The idea of drawing parallels between the main characters is interesting, but how absurdly it was played out in the end.
Was there no security in the mansion of the richest man? They quietly went about their business. Well, yes, well, yes
Although the ending turned out to be crumpled, but also spectacular, too. I'm glad that everyone got what they deserved, but I'm very sorry for Ritka anyway.
there was some kind of incomprehensible residue after watching the season. There is no such "wow" effect that was after the first one. I've been moving away from the plot and impressions for a few days, but here...nothing. Yes, a good one, but no more.
The ending, where Alma gets the laurels of "popularity," is shot unbearably stunningly. What a strong transformation of the hero took place in 10 episodes..
And what a parallel to the outfits: red dresses. Ah!
There is no end. I was expecting some unexpected turnaround, but apart from Rita's death, nothing really surprised me. 😭
And the least of my concerns)))
I wonder how Dee got away with it. After all, her fingerprints are on the dead woman's belongings.
Where did Alma get the money for all these costumes and accessories? She didn't take it from Mrs. Eats all the time, did she?
Let's hope for a season 3 with an equally interesting story.
Vern and Dee are very sweet, they love each other so much)
P.S. The actress playing Alma is amazing
It was getting creepy.
After all, the first season was brighter and more unusual.
The second one is also not bad, but it did not overshadow the first one.
🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
Very cool parallels, excellent actors (which is worth a couple of main characters, they are so cute and harmonious that you really believe in their love, mutual understanding, in general +++)
A great ending (the only thing missing was Katherine, it's a pity she was excluded from the final episode).
I felt sorry for Alma in the beginning, but then she really turned into a crazy killer - the actress who played her is very good.
Rita is love, maybe I'm biased against this character, because Lana Parria is incredibly gorgeous and I've been in love with her for years
now, I wish Rita would do well, like, go with a scooter
It's a pity for Isabel, she's so good, she did everything for Rita and loved her.
The season came out great, but the plot fell a little short of my expectations.
he saw the two of them, and Alma also in a blue suit (which their neighbor was wearing). he could also see that they were on different cars and see
yes, the parallels are no longer the same (as in the first season), but it was still pretty cool to realize the story in one time period.
The actress playing Alma is great. His jaw dropped
This season is like those other series with a similar theme.
I am very glad that the couple Dee and Verna remained safe and together.
Alma got what she wanted anyway 😁
Somehow I didn't expect all this. I didn't have love with the ending. I don't know, there was no happy ending for anyone, one Scooter seemed to get away with it. It didn't affect him much.
Di... Well, I think she must have an injury. How to survive this at all xs. And it should be scary for a child with such genes. And I wouldn't want to be in Vern's place, I got related to a family of maniacs)
Catherine wasn't arrested, which is also a disappointment.
The moment when Alma raised her hands, and that blood - it, I admit, caused a crowd of goosebumps, chilled significantly, to the bones. But I couldn't enjoy it - the heavy burden on my heart from Rita's death just blurred everything.
A wonderful ending!!!
Your "caused a crowd of goosebumps, went well to the bone" testifies to the coolness of the season / series.
Oh, and by the way, unsolicited advice is bad form in the last century. On a side note.
I was surprised by Scooter's request to tell the child about himself
In general, I really liked the detective this season🤩 Cool person🤠
I was very pleased with the plot, insanely exciting and something new about murder and madness.😍
I was so glad to see Lana for a long time, after the OVC, and I really liked the actress who played Alma, she just got used to it😈
one. The exciting plot, vivid characters, and dialogues are amazing
. Of course, the main character didn't arouse any sympathy
at all. For some reason, I couldn't help comparing her to Batman from the first season
. In fact, we see both of them as indecisive housewives at the beginning and see how they change throughout the season
. But if Bethanne is admired, Alma is just disgusted and wants to punish her as soon as possible.
I'm sorry for Bertie, I'm even more sorry for Rita💔🥺
The second season has just come out, and I already want a third ahaha
The growth and development of the characters is beautifully shown, sometimes in the opposite direction, which is even more amazing!
I don't understand commentators at all who are looking for some reason why and don't see a motive... according to your logic, Dostoevsky can be charged for Raskolnikov.
"Am I a trembling creature, or do I have the right?"
The beginning is so funny, it would seem, but at the end I just don't have the words, it's been a long time since I've had such emotions from the series.
Rita, on the other hand, was admired almost throughout the entire season. I feel very sorry for her ((although this is probably the best outcome for her character.
In general, in the end, everything is in its place, I'm happy)
The voiceover at the beginning, the colors in places, the style of music and narration, the detective story with a touch of absurdity, the secrets in the closet (Bertram's box from the first episode is literally like a box from the last frames of the series, which was brought by the next tenants), Rita's story with her lover as a light homage to Gaby, almost taken on the role of Rita Eva Longoria ... Ah)
I'll give the season 7/10.
For the most part, for the beloved and beautiful Lana Parria
Rita is amazing ❤
I really liked the actors, besides, the series reveals a lot of "women's" problems, which sometimes women themselves simply keep silent about (or were silent in those days, although now such roles are played by the same gray housewife who lives in the shadow of her husband; or the wife of a tyrant husband who successfully beats and terrorizes her — unfortunately, they also occur in real life).
With great pleasure, I give you five stars! 🖤
They were surprised by Rita's death. It was unnecessary.
I liked how Alma and Rita switched places.
Well, just bravo bravissimi!
What about the second one?
Well, not a bad cast
That was the end of the good
The plot is weak, banal, it was boring to watch, and the season was "finishing off" simply because there was nothing else to watch. Alas and ah, the second season was disappointing. Against the background of the first one, it was very weak, I expected much more.
But I can't help but note that this season is great too!
I don't feel sorry for Alma at all. I tried to understand her, but I couldn't.
As a result, I got what I so desperately wanted-"fame". Everyone gets what they deserve.
It's just a pity for the others who "got under the distribution"
Well, as in desperate housewives in general. Girls love this))
Rita hadn't caused any feelings all season, and it didn't matter if she died. Although, of course, she doesn't deserve it. But it was pretty stupid to go into a conversation with a murderer with nothing, and at the same time turn your back on her.
Bertie left with dignity.
I really enjoyed the season.
Also, judging by the ending, Alma turned out to have some kind of mental diagnosis based on lack of attention..
The season is too creepy for me.
Of
course, this season should not be compared with the first, because they are radically different, but still, I liked the first one more, because last season all the murders were somehow justified, and this Alma wanted to kill everyone indiscriminately..
The question remains open to me personally, why was Alma's former boyfriend needed, the one from school...?
Such a gorgeous first season, and such a disgusting second.
The series is worth watching, sometimes even intriguing.
Here, the finale turned out to be a bit crumpled, a lot of things were crammed into the last episode.
But I liked the picture and the atmosphere.
Therefore, I'll just write that Pelant from Kostya was a doctor in the 40-50 years))
, I'm especially happy for Dee and Verna that everything is fine with them, the most worthy characters of the season
I'll speak for myself - the first season is better.
I liked the atmosphere of the 40s here.
It's a good series, we'll be waiting for the sequel.
I can't say I'm as excited about season 2.
The surroundings are both excellent, it's a pleasure to watch) I'm waiting for season 3 now.
-"I expect support from you, Isabel, not objectivity.
I feel sorry for Bertie and Rita. Alma should have died instead of Rita.
Once again, they show us how power and permissiveness change a person.
Interesting second season🙏🏻☺️
But in my opinion, it still won't compare to the first season!
Alma went like a cuckoo, it happens (((
The season is good if we consider it separately. It's a pity that the series was closed, it's a very interesting idea.
And what is all this for? Become famous?
I didn't like the season at all
Alma went crazy and ruined so many lives.
I liked the second season less than the first, but I hoped that in the third they would rehabilitate themselves and shoot something very cool. Sorry.
I got special pleasure from the actors playing the roles of Alma, Vern and Rita.
So why do women kill? They showed me why maniacs kill. The husband is an ideological serial killer, but in an adequate way, the wife is extremely insane, and there were no more murderers. There were some attempts in a state of passion, after which everyone survived. Including the hapless husband, who pierced the detective's leg, and was only needed to show the soul of the beautiful impulses of Dee.))
He, and the former Alma Mater at Atotavern and Mrs. Yost's nephew, are generally indistinct characters. They got a face, a name, screen time, and their appearance promised a plot twist or a mini-story, but nothing like that happened.
I've watched the first season in parts or in its entirety more than once. I'm unlikely to get a second one.
a great series, a good season, but there wasn't enough zest
, I really liked the dialogues, they're straight to funny quotes, it's very funny
the first season is still the best ever
, and I have a question, why did they introduce the handsome ex-boyfriend of Alma's classmate?
the branch was never developed, but the accent was
You know, at first Bertram seemed terrible because of his hobbies, but by the end of the series he feels very sorry for him.
But season 1 is better.
It's both disgusting and bitter. Bravo!
Really, it was so interesting for me to follow the story that the series just clicked.
I don't disagree with the fact that someone might like the season, but I repeat, if it were a separate project, I wouldn't even look at it (
Two - how interestingly the scriptwriters turned out, killing everyone they assumed they would kill in the end, that this was eventually a happy ending - this is a cool scenario trick (and a psychological one, given Alma's crazy mindset)
I felt sorry for everyone except her
The man no longer saw any boundaries
Murder (or attempt) after murder
And Rita and her sister are very sorry
, Yes, they may not have been models for behavior, but they certainly did not deserve to die
And Rita was also bleeding profusely, dying painfully..
Bertram couldn't stand it all, no wonder
I hope that at least their daughter will be able to live this life without psychological trauma
And from somewhere else... xD
I also feel sorry for Bertie .
In short , season 2 is no worse than season 1 !
It's a pity that the series was closed, I would love to watch season 3.
The first season is good and the second is even better)
I'm shocked, of course, with Alma..
In general, I'm writing my opinion about the series. The first season was definitely better, especially because there were as many as 3 parallels. It's clearly a dimmer season here. Alma destroyed her marriage by herself, which seemed so wonderful to me. I'm glad that everything turned out well for Dee and Vern
4/5
It's a great series, and I'm really glad that I decided to watch it in the end.
The second season is not inferior to the first, I watched the whole series in two days!
And the other characters were well discovered from different sides.:
Scooter is an infantile, but not at all a mean guy who responds warmly to those who love him.
It's a good season, I shouldn't have put off watching it!
The shock was caused by the fact that she decided to "substitute" herself instead of Bertram, apparently, her conscience turned on for a minute.
