Perhaps someone will disagree with me, but I am clearly sure that "playing tennis" is a metaphor for sex, and the series should be interpreted that way. Immediately after the first refusal to play, Krosh puts pressure on the Hedgehog with guilt and manipulation and says that he has a "tennis need" and that he can play with someone else. Then, at night, the Hedgehog wakes up from the fact that Krosh is playing tennis with him. And if we translate all of the above into, let's say, a sexual path, then it looks, to put it mildly, creepy.
In addition to my argument that this series is directly about sexual consent, and not about manipulation, I want to draw attention to the fact that when the Owl comes, Krosh casually tells her that he has already offered sweets, and the Hedgehog is still in no way. On the one hand, it may seem like a trifle, but on the other hand, Denis Chernov, the creator of Smesharikov, once said that the series "Mountains and Sweets" was a metaphor for prostitution, where, respectively, sweets acted as "currency", therefore, I think that in this series there is the same a metaphor.
