The season is the most beautiful. So many references to the classics of American cinema, Billy Bob, Simmons ... it's a pity that the series was closed. But it's good that they closed it before the series rolled off)))
The first episode was very dull, and then they rocked it and it turned out to be quite interesting. Definitely better than the previous season. I just didn't understand why there were these constant inserts with westerns, father, etc. (he had no head injury, he was also not in oblivion).
Great! I am very glad that we ended on such a positive note, because the season really turned out to be good (although the first episode did not portend). First of all, thanks to Billy Bob, Nina Arianda, as well as the wonderful Bruce Dern and J. K. Simmons - they have great characters.
I think we finished it perfectly. For the final season, Dern and Simmons were also assigned to Thornton - actors! Oh, yes, in the flashbacks of Hurt and T-1000... he's Robert Patrick. Thanks!
It's a good season. The ending was a little disappointing, I was waiting for a twist in the spirit of Jacob's Ladder, otherwise why were all these strange dreams? But I'm still happy. A good ending to an uneven but good series.
The last season turned out to be not quite what I expected - I thought somehow they would eventually gather all the "villains" from previous seasons into a "bundle" (there was even a hint of this), but so on the whole it's not bad. Although in my opinion there have been few Papayans this season :( My mistake was that I postponed watching everything "for later" and looked at Dopesick first - after which a lot becomes predictable in the sense of intrigue and all sorts of references, but in general they revealed the topic of norms.
In the last episode, they finally remembered what the series was about. But they forgot who played the main role in it. McBride is bugging himself somewhere in the background while the plot is going on. It could just be removed, along with the goat and the Chinese signs.
The best season, this is the first one. There were a lot of court scenes and it's cool. Then it is several times less - by the end of each season. The second season is on the level, but there are just few court scenes and it is the only season where the story arc did not end (or it looked like it did). In the third season, I liked the visual of the first half. The secondary plot has been blurted out for too long, so the main plot is fast. The fourth season is more or less. The court scenes were brought, but the rest of the scenes are tedious. The result: for season 1 and for the visual in the third 7/10 (4/5)

I think it's his hallucinations as a result of injury or brain disease.

Thank you that the last season was so atmospheric and interesting.

I was glad that Billy was reunited with his daughter. ♥️
