Firstly, I haven't read the book and I liked the series.
Secondly, if after the end of the first series you thought that you were waiting for something in the spirit of "The Road", "The Walking Dead", "One of us" (minus zombies), then this is not so. If you are waiting for a survival here, then the series is unlikely to come to you. This series is much closer to "Abandoned" than to any of the other series.
To be honest, because of this, I can't believe what is happening at all and the feeling that some kind of fan fiction has been filmed. The drama is not felt yet due to the low realism.
We are already familiar with the virus with an incubation period of not 10 minutes, but two weeks, thank you very much, I do not want to look at this.
Jeevan has a big heart. I wanted to help little Kiki. She got lost. The sky has fallen here. And Jeevan reached his brother with little Kiki.
But Hollywood is a poisoned fairy tale. (I opened the original source. At the very beginning, on the first page, Jeevan breaks onto the stage. Why? Because I just finished my paramedic course. He provided primary medical care, performed artificial respiration on Arthur. And he made some kind of fuss in the cinema. The hero doesn't have to be adequate. :(
Sadly.
In the series, the plot constantly jumps over the characters and the time of action. Everything matters. A cat appears on the screen for three seconds. "Hi Lila." Then Kirsten's horse was called that. In the first scene, the actress is shown as little Kiki. And if there is a storyline in the series, even a cat! I even thought about the bad, the bloody thing - and whether Kirsten would die on stage. The whole series was waiting for something in the style of "Game of Thrones".
No. There are enough horrors as it is. Kirsten is just going to be an actress :)
And terrible pandemics are invented every couple of years. You can postpone "I'm afraid, I'm afraid" until the next one. :)

Which, most likely, can only be noticed when you are in the cultural layer there.

It's a kick-ass! They take it deep. And don't tell me they didn't have enough pants there. This is a psychological catch for the audience. Let's say the children won't see it because of the age rating. But the parents who took their children to this movie will feel something.
I'm amazed with these things! They've been writing scripts for years for a reason. One page of the script, one minute of the movie. And I still don't understand half of the hints.

You look out the window and see the lights go out. By the fact that behind the taped door, it's just death. :(
All business in the bucket, then out the window. If the windows in this skyscraper open. Or knock down the toilet with your feet and into the riser pipe. When there, so to speak, liquid household waste freezes. Or in packages. The temperature is below zero anyway. Or with a sledgehammer, a crowbar, I don't know what else to break through the ceilings and do all these things on the floor below. :(
That's how the end of the world smells. :(
