compared to the first series, the drama subsequently (as for me) lost momentum. the plot is super, the visual is excellent, the acting is not bad, but the narrative itself is somehow so-so
and it started so beautifully.. the beginning was really interesting, the plot, the main characters, but that's what went on.. the detective part stopped catching on, the relationship of the characters decided not to develop. In short, at the end it got cold
In general, it's very good, although it was a mistake to watch online, I specially reviewed all 10 episodes in a row, the impression was better than when I watched the series. The dynamics dropped very much after the first episodes, I really want to read the original source, and I understand that we can expect a second season, if so, I hope there will be further development of the characters and the relationship between them, no matter what the screenwriters decide to do them, since I agree with the commentator above that we were only slightly introduced and carried away by the prospect And then they just turned on the detective line and that's it
The impression remained, to put it mildly, ambiguous, because it is completely unclear whether this is such a skillful slowburn or still enchanting queerbating. If there is a second season, I would still like at least some kind of relationship development, otherwise it will be quite a shame. And the detective component is completely stalled. The last episodes are frankly boring. Sometimes you completely forget that Shiro is actually the head of the Yakuza - there is no mafia routine, a teddy bear is sitting on the couch smoking. And no one is at all interested in how he got to wakagashira in the first place. Of the pros, it was shot well, the actors are cool, but in the end neither fish nor meat. Neither bl nor detective. You can't even call it a bromance - they tease you too shamelessly. And okay, figs with him and yaoi, but knowledgeable people say that in the manga, unlike the drama, there is a plot, and even a good and fascinating one. And here the screenwriters did not finish any of the above. Very sorry. As they say, it started so beautifully
@thesetofwords: I really wanted to read the manga, and it's such a bummer that it doesn't translate into Russian. I agree that the screenwriters screwed up and it could have been made much more interesting...
Oh, I guessed somewhere in the back of my mind that the children could not assemble such a powerful bomb and it was probably replaced, and it turned out that way. It's strange that in 20 years none of the four have come up with this idea. Of course, we finished this line very awkwardly. It seems that there is a huge hint of a sequel, but it seems that there is something to develop in this regard, it was quite possible to beautifully collapse everything and release an innocent person. But damn, I'll only agree to a second season if they take away this fucking queerboating! Give them a normal relationship already! I mean officially confirmed at least, but still, if I want something like that, bantering, with hints that do not require continuation, I will look at the Boy next door once again. And there are too many such unambiguous moments here that when I saw another one without any explicit continuation, I cursed the creators of the drama! Damn, Shiro and that old man had too many episodes that I would rather not see. Would it be fair to take Ichiro and Shiro's relationship to another level, well, such a tender friendship can develop into something more? Is it logical? And the guys are great! Their chemistry is great! I really didn't care about the plot at some point, I was just touched by the looks at each other that were worth it...😍 Finally, we looked at the stars together and "kissed" with our foreheads😩well, it's cute ... And yes, the bonus episodes at the end of the series are a separate charm 🥰 In general, I still enjoyed watching it, painful for me, but nevertheless 😅😅😅
Okay, no kidding, the drama turned out to be very pleasant to watch. The actors themselves, the storylines, and the game are all very good. Only the most pleasant emotions remained, personally, the intrigue did not let me go until the very final episode.
Now I want to find a translation of the special episodes and take a look at them!
The drama is good, it was interesting to watch, especially the very first episodes, but how it bombed me when I was shown the same memory for the twenty-fifth time. There was a moment with the drawing and then the "sister" takes this drawing in her hand and I'm already praying "PLEASE, I REMEMBER EVERYTHING ANYWAY, DON'T SHOW THE MEMORIES AGAIN!", but they show. This moment when the bomb explodes has been shown a lot of hundreds of times, I will dream about it. The cute scene on the swing with beer and tabasco stopped being cute after it was re-shown to me five times, but despite all this, the drama is good. The actors are cute, I missed the kisses and romance, the detective part in the drama is much more.
And it was interesting for me to watch until the very end. Yes, the dynamics have dropped. Yes, it became clear how everything would end in the 4th episode. But it was interesting to watch the main characters.
I'm not against the second season, but I got the impression that they do comedy and sweetness better than drama and detective.
