@svetskayababe: The fact that this is such a subtle "parody" becomes more obvious by the finale, when more moments are added in the style of "are screenwriters really serious now?".
But where people have already taken the fact that this is a parody under the first series is not entirely clear. Except for the title of the series and the moment with the maniac in prison .
Does this series subtly banter the genre - rather yes (sometimes too subtly, to the point that it simply repeats the cliche almost one-in-one of what the series is trying to joke about) . But what would it be a straight PARODY (!), as they call it here.. Somehow I don't know. I just, apparently, misunderstand the etymology of the word *parody*.

It is clear that there are parodies that are well, just hypertrophied and terribly in the forehead, like a classic Very Scary Movie (or a Naked Gun, if anyone so).
There are those who do it much more subtly: A hut in the forest, a killer Wheel.
There is something that until some point it is not even completely clear it is a parody or a fool, as it was in the Scream Queen half of the first series (then it becomes obvious that this is a parody, just not raised to the absolute, like the same USC)

this is a Netflix series and if you look at their service, the series is even signed with the genre "comedy of the absurd"

Although even their page immediately says "Drama series", just below "comedy thriller", then at the very bottom of the page there are "Genres
Mystery series,Crime series,Drama series,Comedies,American TV series" and only in "About the series:
Serious, Comedy of the absurd, Extraordinary, Action-packed" it is really written that this is a comedy of the absurd.
Now at least in the future I will know where to look for it :)

This is not so much a parody as a satire. In satire, humor is more subtle, and sometimes it may not be at all. This is a mockery of various movie cliches.

@WildBubbles: There would be no problems with satire if a sufficient number of commentators did not write about the fact that the series turns out to be a parody. Or they didn't write in the style of "well, stupid, they didn't understand such a parody 00000))"

I liked the series as a whole (after a while after watching it, I realized that I still got positive impressions rather than something negative), but the general background around it made me think on each episode not "ggg funny and subtly bantered at this moment :)", but "so, where did they find the PARODY here don't I understand? ..."

@FRFD: I also, after reading the description of the series and watching the trailer, expected a parody - and the first episode confused me, because I expected something funny, but the series was quite serious. I thought maybe it would just be a light thriller. The series on the third figured out what's what and how to view this series, but the sediment remained, of course. Disappointed expectations.
My conclusion is a good series with a very bad (because wrong) promotion.

I would have enjoyed it many times more if I hadn't entered the comments at all, so I would have wondered until the end if this was idiocy or the coolest and most subtle banter.
And then you watch, it seems, quite a serious first series for yourself, and in the comments "azazahazhaa rzhach pesdets porodiya equalize USC even vishe dovno so do not rzhol the whole morshrutka)0)0)00" , and you're sitting there and you don't understand if you went into those comments and watched that series?:)
In general, the series is at least already good because I watched it a week ago, but I still come back to it mentally :)

@FRFD: I watched the first two episodes quite serially, but from the third it began to clear up)
