So the main advantage of the series is not the adventure part, but the transformation of three people from casual acquaintances into good friends. Now I will look forward to the continuation with interest.
Oh, how I've long wanted to see Jules Verne beautifully shot and played, especially after clumsy and disastrous Trips to the center of the Earth and other strange film adaptations. Not just "fashionable to look at", but recommended to all fans. The acting is on top, the script does not limp once per season, all the characters are superbly written and revealed, while leaving a gap for subsequent seasons. I really look forward to the same creative group continuing to work in the direction of other works by the great author, which was gently hinted at at the end of the season.
P.S. - The scene between Bellamy and Fogg at the end is just beautiful, I kept thinking how exactly their conflict would end.
The series has improved since the third one. I'm not thrilled, of course, but it's quite a good series. I liked that the Passepartout line was corrected, it became more socially acute. It's a good thing the love line isn't between Fix and Fogg. And the main bastard is great, just as nasty as it should be. David is wonderful, as always.

Просто замечательно! От эпизода к эпизоду сериал прогрессировал, и мы шаг за шагом дошли от абсолютно схематичной и надуманной истории о французских повстанцах до прекрасного, воодушевляющего финала. И здесь уже и напряжение на другом уровне, и драма, и довольно злободневные социальные вопросы, и психологизм прорезался и милых шуток, с которыми поначалу как-то не слишком складывалось, отгрузили в достаточном количестве. Так что последние две серии особенно порадовали.
Да и финал, к тому же, для меня оказался неожиданным. Казалось же, что после всей нагнетаемой на протяжении сезона романтики, после наивно-пафосных речей о великой любви и нежно хранимых (хоть в вихре песчаной бури, хоть на промозглом необитаемом острове) открыток, нас в итоге ждёт сентиментальная сцена воссоединения двух любящих сердец. А когда Эстелла ещё и о смерти мужа упомянула, тут же подумалось: "Ага, ну, собственно, вот она жюльверновская индийская вдова!" Но нет... немного ностальгии, немного сожалений, немного вдохновляющих речей и... в путь! Прошлого не вернуть, а будущее оно не в возвращении назад, а в движении вперёд. Прекрасное (тонкое, точное и по-настоящему современное) разрешение этой истории, за что спасибо и браво создателям сериала.
Ну и финальный (очень рождественский) кадр, где наше дружное трио сбегает от условностей, суеты и чопорности окружающего их аристократического мира на поиски новых приключений, - это шикарная точка, предполагающая манящее многоточие. Даже завидую им!..
Начала смотреть сериал думала будет скучно, хотя люблю такого плана сериалы, но со второй серии пошли события разворачиваться втянулась и хотелось больше серий по итогу. Качественно снята картинка, сценарий. Так что жду продолжения.
Замечательный сериал! Невозможно не проводить аналогию с Доктором и его спутниками. Особенно к концу сериала. Мне кажется, что второй сезон будет ещё более "докторским". И это прекрасно!!!
Ну уж очень понравился сериал, захватывает. По своему ламповый, милый, хорошо, что не добавили огромные любовные линии, было бы лишним. Продолжение все-таки хочется)

Нам же при этом хотели показать, что даже в узколобом консервативном семействе (к которому девушка принадлежит) могут быть люди, способные мыслить широко и ставить чистые чувства выше навязанных обществом установок. Да, она в итоге отвернулась и ушла вместе со своими спутниками, но мы успели увидеть в ней солидарность с Паспарту и Эбигайл, принятие ею их пары, а значит, даже если сама она в итоге не выступит против устоев, но когда-нибудь воспитает своих детей в другом ключе, а значит рано или поздно ситуация изменится, и межрасовые отношения перестанут быть табу и поводом для гневных комментариев.
Хороший получился сериал, последние серии больше понравились, чем первые. У меня только одна претензия, что сами страны показаны уж очень мельком (видимо повлиял Covid, либо бюджет). По-настоящему запомнилась только пустыня и ещё США, из-за сцены в салуне.
Блин, я же и читал, и смотрел всякие разные вариации, но совершенно из головы вылетел тот момент с лишними сутками и совершенно безо всяких сомнений решил, что это так в сериале «по мотивам» решили заодно и концовку слегка поменять для какой-то своей цели, заставили попереживать, черти :D
