The colonel has the same good-looking, unpleasant appearance as Edward. It's a good thing that Charlotte didn't appreciate his attempts at courtship in any way. It's possible that the Colonel will merge at the end of this season, and the next season will be based on Charlotte and Colborne's relationship.
