an amazing work about an amazing personality. mysterious, unusual, incomprehensible. just like this whole series. Delight. behind the glamour is a ruined psyche, but in the finale you still have a lingering feeling that Angelin has always been Angelin.
in general, I recommend reading about the real Angelin (Renie) on foreign resources, a truly ambiguous granny who still surprises. and how wonderful that Emmy Rossum was able to convey all her periods! a very talented actress.
Why this series at all? Chapters. The character is just an urban lunatic who hasn't done anything worthwhile for culture. I got my undeserved 15 minutes of fame and that was the end of it. There are no complaints about the actors and the atmosphere of the series.
@ToxicCreep: the urban madwoman who tore up the whole of Hollywood at one time, yeah) these are not one-day YouTubers who are already making films about, this is a real character who has attracted the attention of all of Hollywood (and a number of other countries), who has not fully made it clear who she is and what she is carrying) Did you think they'd sort everything out for you now?)
We also have a million of these super-duper polar marginals/freaks who attracted everyone's attention for a period, even for years, were popular, and made money. and just like Angelin still walks around in her image without reaping the benefits, I'm sorry. Would you like to see a whole series about them in the future and kill hours of your life on it? hardly 😂
Oh, yes, during the whole viewing, I thought that our Angelin analogue was some kind of Pancake. Just a dummy who's trying to pretend to be a goddess. It's scary to imagine that in forty years they will also start making TV series about such people and attributing some incredible role to them.
Although in the case of Angelin there is at least a vivid image that really attracts attention, but behind this wrapper there is still an uninteresting superficial personality.
I didn't know who Angelin was before this series, but the aesthetics of pink and the atmosphere of the 80s and 90s wow, Rossum just performed her role superbly. It's a good series, worth watching.
I regret the time I spent, I hoped the ending would be more tragic, her appearance doesn't fit at all over the years, if she was born in 1950, then in 2015 she clearly doesn't look 40, or am I wrong? For show, it's based on real events and nothing more..
it was a little boring for me to watch in places, but Angelin is great, you can applaud her, she wanted to be famous and popular and made a candy out of nothing, she achieved what she wanted , she really liked the makeup in the series, they tried their best, especially when they showed the characters aged and I want to say separately how cool Amy is here)) It was interesting to watch the scenes with her
