in the beginning, it seemed that the documentary would be average for me and no more, but in the end my heart just shattered into pieces. I don't even want to know exactly how the children died anymore (I was curious before that), because it will completely destroy me. I hope Lori and Chad will rot in prison for the rest of their lives, the death penalty is too light a punishment in their case.
It's creepy listening to my mother's phone calls. "The kids are fine, I wouldn't hurt them, you just don't understand." Interestingly, she was recognized as sane anyway - there is no sense of sanity there.
I'm watching the trial now, and there are audio recordings of every day of the trial on YouTube. I got to the testimony of Mellanie Gibb and Zuleima Pastenis, apparently Lori and Chad preached the wildest alien tin, to believe in such a thing, you need to be either an easily suggestible person or to be processed for a very long time.
It scratched me that the eldest son never said that he regretted not listening to his stepfather when he sent emails about Lori's madness. Okay, I didn't believe it then, but then it turned out that Charles was right. But no, not a word about it at all.
@miscellaneous: This dock was filmed in 2021, he needed time to digest everything that had fallen on him, now Cody recognizes Charles' attempts to save them all.
I can't let go of the thought that Lori is mowing like crazy and simply used someone else's hands for her own purposes. Even on the story of the eldest son's marriage, it became clear that Lori was a narcissist, she did not want to let go of her "basket son" (and therefore it is not surprising that her son's wife turned out to be a "dark soul"). She rallied supporters against all those who infuriate her: her niece's ex-husband (who was suing for property), Lori and Chad's ex-spouses. I think she had problems with the children, too. The younger one is not her at all, plus she needs to devote a lot of time because of her autism. They said something about her daughter, "we were surprised that Lori got married again, because her daughter would not accept her stepfather so easily." It's a pity that Alex died before the truth was revealed, maybe he would have stirred up something too much.
Oh, by the way, updates on the courts. Lori was found guilty at a trial in Idaho (2023), Chad was found guilty in 2024, and recently Lori was convicted again, this time in Arizona, for the murder of Charles and the attempted murder of Brandon. Well, if someone wants another pinch of madness, find on YouTube the interview that Laurie gave to Nate Eaton with East Idaho News, where she, of course, reveals herself right in the dance.
@mrs_cocaine: You're welcome, I just had a fix on this story. But it seems that no big updates are expected, Lori sits forever and tightly, trying to make some claims at the appeal hearing, but it's just a circus.
