still, it turns out very flat due to the fact that almost no interviews are shown, the whole point was in this interview, where they described each other, told stories, and everyone had their own version of what was happening and you decide for yourself what was really happening with them, and then they just say one word at a time. And Daisy is boring in the series, drugs and endless parties were taken away from her, it turns out just a girl who wanted to write songs, and she was a girl who wanted attention in any way to achieve and escape from reality all the time.
after your comment, I just didn't want to watch any more!! I haven't read the book, but I just felt that some kind of highly slick story turns out for a rock band, it's a pity that they did that((
Daisy, of course, was bleached in the series, so now she does not cause me feelings at all, as they wrote above - boring; in the book, at least she infuriated me sometimes.
I haven't read the book either, but I liked Daisy, her self-confidence, the way she doesn't want to bend under the framework of show business, wants to break through and become someone only through her rules, but maybe that's all my love for Riley Keough)))) with such a family, she just couldn't help but have talent in this field, their voices and Sam are in perfect harmony😻
I repeat that I haven't read the book either...but so far, Billy is the one who gives me the most encouragement. And it's very good that he has such a wife, and people around that know how to put him in his place. And Daisy....until I realized what she was like. But judging by her behavior, colorful, something suggests that powerful quirks are ahead) It's a pity that the series did not come out completely right away, because I want to watch the whole story to the end, and not in portions))
I read just yesterday a third of the book and watched the released 3 episodes, so everything is as fresh as possible in my memory. I'm confused. Why do they spend so little time on interviews? That was the whole point. There are so many changes that are not justified in any way - I hate this in film adaptations - this is the reason that (in most cases) books are much better than films/ TV series, because people adapting a book for a series / film believe that they know better and cut out what made people fall in love with the original source - change the characteristics of the characters, the plot itself - it always burns so much and the SCORE is so unclear. For me specifically at the moment, this is 1) why didn't they show how Billy went-went downhill after learning about Camille's pregnancy? (Camilla is actually a different character in the series, I can't understand why they changed her so drastically). These months showed on her behalf that it was very boring that she sat there for a couple of minutes of timing by the phone. Are you kidding me? And then Billy said in an interview that "it was a long time ago," they say I don't remember, while in interviews in books he told it in detail (I won't spoiler those who haven't read it; it's interesting there). HELP ME, WHAT IS THE POINT OF THE INTERVIEW IF NO ONE SAYS ANYTHING INTERESTING DURING THESE INTERVIEWS aaaaaaa 2) the arch of Daisy and her first record is interesting, it just doesn'T EXIST here 3) Pete?????? pros: they sound great, I really like the songs. The actors are on fire. Still, the changes so far just make you want to hit someone with a chair.
@dashamrykalo: "because people adapting a book for a TV series/movie think they know better and cut out what made people fall in love with the original source"
when there is an opportunity to film a story that you liked, but with a little bit of your own vision, no one would refuse such a thing, I would not say that this means that they think it's better, it's just that your vision did not coincide with the author's, which yes, happens often, but you will not please everyone)
you must have read my comment inattentively. I wrote there that reasonable changes are not a bad thing that can enrich the story and remove plot holes. but if you just want to shoot the shit, then be kind enough to come up with your own plot and go ahead. At the same time, "your vision" is a little different. It's you who take an existing idea and respectfully and lovingly adapt it to life without changing the elements important to the story. If there is little primary source, you add things that do not change /affect the plot in general. An example of an almost perfect adaptation is the Lord of the Rings, where there are 3 large volumes of books to adapt. There's just nothing to find fault with, even considering that one line from the first film was removed, which was justified + timing would not be enough. In contrast, I would like to bring the Hobbit, where 3 films were made from one tiny book, but there were some jokes with the studio, so let's take Harry Potter. Oh my god I understand that these films will always be considered classics, many have grown up with them, but how about adapting books? Horror. Especially starting from book 4 onwards (this is not counting how they made Ron an annoying crybaby, and Hermione an ideal girl who never makes mistakes, and everything is super easy for her, and her character is easy and generally such a friendly Mary Sue). No matter what anyone said, movies weren't even lying next to books. If you take and read the books, then watch the movie and so on 7 times, then you will see what I mean. I would have been glad if this universe had been enriched, but the opposite happened. So many favorite characters from the books have become flat and cardboard, that it's even impressive (I honestly don't know how much Rowling was involved in this whole process, but honestly I don't care). Another striking example is Percy Jackson. The most popular series of books, which was shredded, the characters were made 10-15 years older (although it made sense that they were children) and eventually 5 (!!!) the books fit into 2 films, which just turned out to be porridge. They eventually failed
the continuation of my tirade: In the end, they failed miserably, and the author himself was horrified. You know, no one has given up on such a vision. It would be better not to touch the books loved by so many people at all, if they just rewrite them so that it is "mainstream" and everyone goes. No, thanks.
to be honest, I'm still a little disappointed in the film adaptation 🥺
Pete was removed, Camille was made different, Daisy abruptly became a "professional" musician, although she did not get everything in the book with difficulty and only then she condescended to this, and in general, a lot was changed, something was added
maybe if you don't read the book, then it's normal, but so far 3/5 is clearly 🫠 (although I really like the atmosphere and music)
However, I'm looking forward to the next episodes 🤣
Some kind of absolute miskast for the roles of Billy and Camilla. Melancholic, bad-looking Sam Claflin and wooden Camila Morrone - their line does not touch at all 😒
first meeting of Daisy and the Six! incredible chemistry. Daisy enters the room and becomes the main star every time. it is interesting to look at the confrontation between two soloists.
And Daisy....until I realized what she was like. But judging by her behavior, colorful, something suggests that powerful quirks are ahead)

(видимо, опять буду перечитывать оригинал).
