A crisis of faith... an interesting story. Maggie's right. It's strange how Val was allowed to work as a field agent. Couldn't he have been sent to the same white-collar jobs?
Faith and work, find a compromise) but Maggie is right, why was he released into the field at all? there are so many departments that work without cover, etc ... the ending is good) but the beginning is terrible...
People who keep faith in God, in a higher power, and in such a job, is some kind of mythical ideal, probably. It is impossible to risk your life every day, to see deaths and cause them, and then "cover up".. but everyone has their own therapy, of course, and we should be shown literally "holy" FBI agents, at least sometimes.
Of course, everything is far-fetched from the word at all, it does not work that way, faith in an ideal concept and such work is not compatible. Faith is transformed during such work and helps not to go crazy and not cross the line, but at the same time it prevents you from doing it, since it is not fundamental at work, but is like a beacon, like a family, for example.

I liked the ending with the praying OA.
