@dimon222: brilliant. My favorite TV series "Doctor Who" and my favorite series from it, where the Doctor reincarnated tens of thousands of times, living a life — to break the diamond wall with his bare hand, over and over again, blow after blow, each time dying at this wall and continue a new life, gradually guessing what he was doing in the previous and here, in the finale, this reference is clearly visible, only by making the season finale out of it — in fact, ending the story of Loki, it's super powerful, because even the season didn't end on the Doctor, not to mention the series itself. And here, 11/10 . The villain is a fraudster who has devoted his endless life to ensuring that all his loved ones live.. tears

A wonderful ending. But God, how sad I am for Loki. He's all alone. Literally saves the whole world all alone. And in the last episode, the emphasis was also on how much he doesn't want to be alone t__t
Very cool, very strong, very painful.

@Seph: Loki is now literally in the starting position of Loki-18201/Avenger prime from the comic arc of a year ago. Who collected the avengers of the multiverse, pulling a crowd from different realities. And against the background of the news that the Marvels are thinking how to return the LC, cap and widow, the probability that this is waiting for us is not zero.

@eman-on: The way Loki went from "I don't wanna be alone" to being completely alone to protecting every timeline... "You deserve to be alone and you always will be" Sif from the first season hits even harder. In the last frame, he looks both happy and grieving, and it breaks my heart.

Interestingly, he can be said to have become Ermungand, not literally, but since the interweaving of all these time loops looks just like Yggdrasil, then he is a snake protecting the world tree (multiverse).

@ntsvetaev: well, this is a more appropriate association, since Ermungand did not protect the tree of life, but simply encircled the earth and became in fact an analogue of the ouroboros, the infinite serpent. There's no way you can pull an owl on a globe and not tie it in, so the reference is strange. But with Atlant, yes.

15 Nov 2023, 14:14 #
@smart_raccoon: well then, not Ermungand, but Nidhegg.
The serpent is in the roots of Yggdrasil, but he just eats one of the roots and perjurers at the same time, and has nothing to do with Loki.

Marvel, of course, spin mythology in one place, but just for fun:
in the "Divination of the Velva" in the Edda, Nidhegg has a theme of redemption in Ragnarok.
"And here comes
the dark dragon/the great serpent
from the dark peaks,
Nidhegg,
flying over the field, carries
the dead under his wings."

So, considering the finale of this series, the recent comic with Loki the Avengers collector, and the circulating rumors about Tony and Steve returning to KVM, all this pulling an owl on the globe looks extremely interesting 😂

I even so moved away from the topic of the entire Marvel universe, and comics, and movies / TV series, that I don't know what's bubbling in this swamp, but I just yelled from the comic. Galya, I want such a fan fiction (crossed out) movie with Loki

@Zlogorek: The problem here is the ragged presentation of knowledge! There's the damn end of everything, he has to roll back every time, explain to the Ubo what he wants, where to start, back and forth, this, I think, takes a total of half of these hundreds of years.
And he can't jump very much earlier, because they are not familiar with him, then they would also have to explain who he is, what he is famous for, and why would he teach him quantum physics and a device that, in general, has limited access, and some technologies only Victor has Time.

He sat on the throne, and it turns out that he is now "burdened with a glorious purpose" (burdened with glorious purpose, so to speak), as he wanted. A great sacrifice for Loki, being a god, listened to all sides and made the most noble decision - to save everyone and give everyone freedom of choice. And as a result, he turned into a cosmic version of himself. Cool, impressive.

Well, Loki's epic has come to an end, the fanfare has died down, or what musical instruments are in Scandinavia, the episode is over.

The whole series, its thoughtfulness, elegant handling of all aspects, camerawork, effects, costumes, scenery, the way they convey these vibes is something.

This is one of the best KVM series along with "Vandavision", "Miss Marvel" and some episodes of "What if?!.".

Moreover, the first season also differs in the staging from the second – that was more serial, here it feels like you're watching an author's film, the frame is so adjusted, the lighting is so bright, the aesthetics are so branded.

Loki was reproached that he was not Loki, not an ace from Scandinavian mythology – here you are. Now he is literally the Almighty, because he holds the time lines in his own hands. In fact, time and space are in his hands, he controls and manages everything in general. Odin was the ruler of 9 worlds, and Loki rules everything, the very idea of everything.

The way he literally turned himself into the same Loki, how he replaced artificial office clothes with the canonical robes of an Asgardian inhabitant, these dark horns, this fluttering cloak, the very expression of his face, as if he had suddenly become wrinkled and aged, as if he had already lived thousands of lives, which is not far from the truth, and the way Tom Hiddleston played this moment – ahuy of such a level that there are simply no words!

And, of course, the ending is Loki on the throne, Loki, who outwitted the One Who Remains and himself remained after him and everyone, Loki, who fulfilled his destiny, Loki, who rose above his father, brother and everyone, Loki, who created the Sacred Igdrassil Tree from the mythology of the Scandinavians in their Sacred Timeline and sat on the throne in the center of it!

Finally, I'll just say – if you haven't watched this series yet, watch it for sure! There is no need to revise or even just watch the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you should not read into the myths just for the sake of it, it's better to just read them – start with the first series and watch until the very end. For all time. Forever.

Considering that the One who remains, or rather his version, was already in "Ant-Man and the Wasp", it is quite possible that the villain for these 5-10 years. And the series will be directly related to this.

And the joke is that it was only Loki's actions that made it possible that there would be many variants of Kang, because Kang himself, the One-Who-Stays option, on the contrary, sought to ensure that his options did not exist.

@-Holycow-: well, you can say about anything. Motivation is not an ephemeral thing, but quite specific intentions shown in the plot. In conversations with the One Who Stayed this season, I did not see any suicidal tendencies in him. He acted playfully, as if he knew everything in advance, and said it out loud every time: "See you soon." He was absolutely sure that Loki would eventually make the choice to kill Sylvia and save the world/TVA.
-Holycow-
-Holycow-
11 Nov 2023, 22:50 #
@PlanePassenger: And this is manipulation: Kang didn't do anything at all so as not to die, and he also knows how to rewind time, the repeated repetition of "you'll have to kill me" as the only alternative is also an owl, stretched... It is much more interesting to "say anything" than to sew "concrete intentions" with white threads, which may not have been originally intended at all, but then it was too late to change something and it turned out what happened...

@PlanePassenger: The ending is wonderful, but the eyeliner to it is m-eh, if Loki had persuaded Sylvia not to kill Kang and went to break the weaver, that would have made sense, but 4 more episodes were about what and why it's not entirely clear... no, in general, if this is the end of the story for Loki, then for the rest of the characters it's a dead end, the writers didn't bother to close the branches for them, so it's unclear with Kang what he wanted or didn't want there... Somewhere on the way to the final, something broke, so there are nuances that interfere with the delight.

-Holycow-
-Holycow-
12 Nov 2023, 13:26 #
@Adrasteya: This devalues them and makes them extras, God came and gave everyone freedom of choice, somewhere this has already happened... Loki had 3 equal conflicts: with Kang, Sylvia and Morbius, so in a good story all these people would have learned some lesson and grown above themselves, but Kang remained an incomprehensible and elusive reserve for sometime later, and Loki's friends did not learn anything and remained "perfect" (which is wild annoying)... what I'm getting at is that impeccable people explained to Loki how to be a good god, if you dig deeper, so yes, this is a completely different movie turns out)
Adrasteya
Adrasteya
12 Nov 2023, 13:59 #
@-Holycow-: Why would that make them extras if Sylvie wanted freedom and choice. She was willing to die for him and ended up facing consequences that she didn't like. She had the opportunity to go some other way, in fact, to find herself. Mobius stopped running away from himself. He also has the opportunity to reassemble himself.
Well, Kang is basically a muddy character. He turned out to be a villain who could be defeated not by force, but by cunning, breaking the rules - the trademark weapon of the god of deception and cunning.
-Holycow-
-Holycow-
12 Nov 2023, 14:34 #
@Adrasteya: The question about extras has already been explained: the choice in the conflict and its acceptance has been replaced by the possibility of this choice... And here's the flip side for you: Sylvia took revenge on TWA and covered herself with good speeches about choosing for each of the options, having received freedom, she did not accept it and when Loki took the throne, she did not change, she just changed her mind about destroying UVI and still does not know what to do with her freedom, to be completely honest, then in this story she is a villain, because she just wanted to break everything and then a few would survive and so they would become happy, compared to Kang's plan... Morbius considered his work a necessary deterrent factor for order (peacemaker, to put it more simply), when the truth was revealed, they actively began to impose a sense of guilt on him for not wanting to find out who he was before work (also those still lovers of freedom), and he would have a conflict in continuing to work with the correction at the opening, but it was immediately closed for him... after the 1st season, the role of Morbius in what? For him to quit the job he loves and become nothing like Sylvia, that's development... I would not call Loki's action a deception, Kang offered to join or die, and Loki found his way because his character was not scored...

@mad1van: That's what I thought at first, but no. Because when Loki destroys the weaver and takes over, all the evil Kaangs have the will to be born. And the only goal of the one who remains was to kill all his other options.

Kaang planned to bring Loki to this point. He knew that Loki would either let the Weaver explode and restart TVA with new people, or Loki would kill Sylvia. In both cases, the old order (the Sacred Chronology and the power of Kang) would have been preserved. Kang would retire, and Loki would either become his tyrant successor, or die or go crazy.

But Loki made a THIRD OPTION, which Kang could not calculate (because it is a point beyond the horizon of his vision).

Loki did not restore the old mechanism. He broke the mechanism forever and replaced it with himself.

If it's not God of Stories, then I don't know what. Loki goes from controlling, studying and testing his abilities to time-shifting, studying centuries-old science and engineering, trying to save all time billions of times, then sacrificing himself and becoming the new He Who Remains. As he told Sylvie in the fifth episode, they have to become better than He Who Remains.

- I know what I want, I know what kind of god I need to be. For you. For all of us.

There are a lot of references to the first film about Thor. He voluntarily let go of his hand and fell off the Bifrost because he could not get his father's approval and the throne. Here he gets off the destroyed bridge and rises UP. He gave up everything to become a god who will look after everyone he loves. He has finally found his Glorius Purpose and ascends to the throne he never wanted ("I never wanted the throne! I only ever wanted to be your equal"), but he will stay there, observing all the time, literally holding endless timelines in his hands, wearing them as his cape, just to make sure that others can live...

On the other hand, it's very bitter to realize that after two seasons of a series that somewhat downplayed his injury (just a few heart-breaking "I do things for attention because I'm afraid of being alone" & "I don't wanna be alone"), he got a finale in which he had to sacrifice with your own comfort to protect your loved ones and the world.

The visual is very beautiful, Tom Hiddleston plays soulfully as usual, and the OST written by Natalie Holt is simply phenomenal. The Lokius scenes are amazing, a sad ending for both of them.

Finally, a more or less decent season finale in the MCU, I had already forgotten that they can normally complete the story. Although judging by the title of the series (the same as s01e01), and by what is happening, this is the finale of the entire series. Loki's character is gorgeous, but the third season is not needed.

I liked the scene with He Who Remains, it turns out he knew everything about Loki back then, in general, such a Kang really seems very dangerous. Another montage where Loki tried to save TVA every time is cool, especially the moment with Miss Minute. Well, the final scene is good.

In general, it is definitely one of the best Marvel series, a level better than all the latest projects. The plot is already a plus, and to this is also a gorgeous picture, music and cast led by Tom.

In general, Loki is beautiful at the end, of course, and it was interesting to watch the last episode. But in general, it's not particularly delayed when you watch Marvel movies in parallel, and there are parallel realities already in full swing, the worries that now they will leave only one somehow do not hold.
Also Loki the whole series is completely uncooked. But in the end, yes.

It seems that there will be no better series from Marvel. It was worthy.
Now I want to erase my memory and look again. Because it is many times better than what Marvel has been shooting lately and the story itself as a whole is very good, as is the acting and drama around it all.

So much for Yggdrasil))))

Loki, quoting "Little Gidding" by T. S. Eliot (We die with the dying, we are born with the dead), — aah, that damn was just brilliant.

The main theme of "Little Gidding" is renewal through the destruction and unity of the past, present and future.
The narrator at some point says to the collective ghost of the poets: "Knowing myself yet being someone else" — a hint that different times merge into one, and different personality variants also merge, everything / everything exists simultaneously and allows you to communicate and connect with the dead.
And at the end of the poem, God's love for the world allows humanity to escape hell/destruction through purification by fire:
"And all shall be well and
All manner of thing shall be well
When the tongues of flames are in-folded
Into the crowned knot of fire
And the fire and the rose are one."

You see, yes, what did they do? Holy shit, just fuck off. Two beers on me to whoever came up with the idea to tie this to Eliot.

A great season, a great finale, the sacrifice has happened, the arch of redemption is done. Loki is now the master of the multiverse. And very beautiful in the end of course.

Tom Hiddleston incredibly reflects all the pain, sadness and happiness at the same time in one scene.

It's a shame for Loki, through everything he had to go through, in order to stay with friends, he makes a difficult choice to be alone again in order to give his loved ones the opportunity to live their lives freely.
A strong season or series finale.

The second season turned out great, I got a huge amount of emotions. In the end, even the tears came out a little. These series are different from the Marvel concept: we went there, did that, moved there, it's over. No, everything turned out to be somehow deep here, in my opinion. More to the inner experiences, the disclosure of the characters. Yes, there was such a theme in Wanda Vision, too, but the confrontation with Agatha and the attempt to fix everything changed this mood. In the second season of Loki, it was the ending that did not let go in a similar direction. Loki's choice, his eyes at the very end – for me this is a new level from Marvel.

Tom Hiddleston is as beautiful as ever. That's how a spiritually doomed face can do it so that the heart will shrink from emotions.

In short, I explain.
Such scriptwriters were sitting and thinking: "How would it end so beautifully and powerfully?".
And they came up with the idea that Loki was at a dead end, and then he was like, with the last of his strength, writing new rules for the world on the move from the ceiling. He goes into this room, and nothing kills him there, goes to the norm, grows horns, grabs branches, paints them green, drags them up the steps (which he does himself), reaches the throne, collecting all the branches, and sits down there, and around the type of tree (Igdrasil, do you understand? Well, or not Igdrasil). Beautiful, powerful, finale, curtain

There is hope that since Taika Waititi has left and Thor will have a new director, then maybe his character will be better spelled out. Taika makes fun of everything. It can be fun, but objectively Thor has no life, but fucked up. The girl is dead, mom, dad, sister, brother, three best friends, you can go on endlessly. But Taika is having fun, he also shoots for 5-10 year olds. And then we look at other works with Chris, where he is not a stupid jock log and realize that it turns out Thor could have been different.

The first three series were very so-so, if the first one started powerfully, then the second one pumped up very much, the third one was already average, so I calmly waited for the release of all the last three and even thought whether I would inspect or not. But I turned on the fourth and woke up only at the moment with Yggdrasil. Recently, after mediocre many Marvel products, I thought that Loki had already slipped, too, but they managed to finish with dignity, because the ending is so finished that they are unlikely to make a sequel, and there is no sense in this sequel anymore. Thank you for remembering Loki's divinity, the last series has directly redeemed all the flaws of the previous ones in so many aspects. It's very sad that characters like Loki don't really get happy endings, no matter how hard they try. It turned out that Loki, having completely changed himself, having learned how to manage time, found someone close and still lost everything, having found and dominating a multiverse of his kind, no matter how ironic it may sound. Dominating, but not really owning the way you want. The second irony is really in the phrase "Be afraid of your desires because they tend to be fulfilled." Loki is the true king, but there is no joy from this at all.

Mobius is somehow also a pity in the end, he left TVA, but it's very sad to look at the life he could have lived, but you can't live anymore, he has to find a completely new way of his own. In general, the series really looked very much like Doctor Who (at its best until the 13th season), so I was able to break my heart at many moments when you don't expect it at all, which I liked very much, so I'd rather miss it than not. But the biggest disadvantage is that this season, except for Locius, no one else was clinging at all, except for a little Ouroboros. Sylvie in general was superfluous this season and in a bad sense of the word. It was as if there was no place for her initially, and then they decided to push her where it was possible, which was not the case in the first season. And yes, it still worsened this terrible hairstyle, whose only crazy idea was to spoil it like that... But despite all this, even Loki was really one of the last good Marvel projects along with the last part of Guardians of the Galaxy, and there is nothing ahead for the next year that can really arouse interest, except that there will be a couple of good episodes of "What If...", about the recently released shame called "Captain Marvel 2"it doesn't even make sense to talk.

No, Loki has a finale that is necessary, there is no doubt, he has found his throne and his place, but what about the UVI and the central conflict: still kill the boy before he causes a catastrophe or freedom for all options? Loki put together some kind of puzzle out of all the replicas of the interlocutors there and it cleared up for him... but what has changed in the end? Where did they put the adult Timeline option? You can't just take and complete all the lines..
tainas

@-Holycow-: As I understand it, the idea is to give everyone the freedom to choose and the freedom to make their own mistakes. And since Kang's idea is to subjugate everything to himself, the TVA remained as an organization in order to monitor all his options and not give them the opportunity to gain knowledge that could affect the destruction of this very freedom (and in the future, the entire universe, because these Kings inevitably conflict with each other). An adult Timeline has never been in TVA, because no one has put a notebook with all the notes on it..

@tainas: What do you mean there wasn't? and who stood and watched as Loki breaks the weaver and goes into the womb? Well, that is, they still made an exception and cut off the Kang branch, and deleted it, but somewhere behind the scenes? I realized your thought that UVI has become a narrowly focused LLC for combating Kang, apparently engaged in intelligence and information gathering, well, because it's unclear how they are going to fight him there if they couldn't prevent quantum mania) Again, from Loki's point of view: freedom of choice and the right to make mistakes for their subjects/wards are fine; from the point of view of the UVI: this is anarchy and irresponsibility, like we will look after Kang, and if you undermine yourself, that's the way...

Loki wanted his throne so much when he wasn't really worthy of it, and he got it when he didn't need anything like that anymore. He has grown into a god who can truly rule the multiverse. Damn, how I want Thor to see him like this - sitting in the heart of Yggdrasil)) And, most importantly, worthy to be there.
Mobius is so heartbreaking at the end. It's like he doesn't understand what to do with his life next. His children have their own father, and there is no more Loki in TWA. As a result, he doesn't know where to hide (( And everyone else is also lost.

A wonderful ending to an amazing series. Personally, I added Loki (the series as a whole, both seasons) to my Top 5 KVM projects, a very cool season 2 and a powerful tragic ending. We have already praised a lot above and I'm unlikely to be able to add anything, but I want to note a detail that I really liked and that few people paid attention to, but I liked that at the end of the last series after the credits there was a sound from a Zeniac arcade machine like "You lost. Try again. Drop a coin." The standard theme for an arcade game, and the trick is that almost the entire final series Loki stupidly constantly throws coins and tries again and again and again and again, but the joke is that in fact this game, like the X5 branch with Zeniac, it is unreal, it should not exist and that is why this game is impassable, no matter how many coins are thrown.

The character of Sylvie is absolutely meaningless, in the framework of the second season it turned out to be superfluous at all. It's like Timey-vimey has moved on from Doctor Who.

The first season caused mixed feelings, a lot of things didn't go very well for me there, although there were advantages of course. But if we consider the first and second together as a single story, which the series is, then this is a great project turned out. I used to think that Wanda would be a good choice for watching the multiverse (so she could be written out of the plots and left to live with her family as she would like), but Loki is no worse in this regard, and even better. He still got on the throne, as he wanted, but now it's a different Loki, not the one who wanted to sit on it. This is the only way he can save and protect everyone.

God, the finale made me cry
It is very painful to look at Loki's loneliness
In fact, he always wanted a family and friends, attracted attention, did not want to be alone, and that in the end, he is alone, out of time.
And the way he lived the same moments many times also sounds like loneliness, yes, he interacted with people to save uvi and the world, but in fact he went through all this alone, no one remembered and did not know what Loki was doing and what he was going through.
And I really liked the parallel of how at the beginning of the series (as we are reminded in "earlier in the series") when questioned by Loki Mobius, he says that he was born to rule, to be a king, and at the end of the series, he sits on the throne in his helmet-crown, and we can say that now he rules, which is how it turned out, as he said. It breaks my heart.

@Ourania: you exaggerate the possibilities of filmmaking, especially considering the many times increased load on post-production. Majors was only charged in May of this year. Marvel thought to somehow change the ending, but stupidly did not have time. So the season is exactly as it was conceived. And the first season was originally not supposed to have any continuation at all, like all the other Marvel series for Disney+, so this eyeliner with Kangas was purely for movies.

Here's proof that superheroics are not exhausted. When projects are given to people with a clear vision, and when the project is based on creativity, not an agenda and a stupid desire to launder the loot, then everything works out.
And the second. Loki becomes the character with the coolest character arc. Go from a villain to a character with gray morals, and then frankly kind, and after that again from bad to come to a serious person who knows how to make global decisions and take responsibility for them! Cool! It's just awesome! It only remains for him to cook in his current position for a lot of time, and then he will become an impartial demiurge who will look at the showdown of the Thanos level with unflappable calmness and even humor.

So it turns out that Loki eventually became one of the cosmic entities that were in the comisk universe - Eternity. Along with Infinity, Death, Chaos, Order, and others. In the comics, they were practically faceless. when some of the characters met with them, and then apparently decided to give them the looks of their favorite actors. It will be funny if Loki is digitized as a result, and in the future they will use his image when meeting Eternity.

Loki:- I'm not a witch to see the future.

@SSchmidt: but in general. The visual, cinematography, soundtrack and plot make the series the best for me in KVM, at the level of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Moon Knight, would be the best if it weren't for the useless "extra" screen time in my opinion for the tva b-15 guard, incomprehensibly prescribed by Sylvia in the second season, as if it would be a different character, and it's not even clear what's next for her, the offscreen death of Ransleer from Alioth at the end of time, it's also not clear what, as for me, she should have a different ending. Majors clowns too much in any version of Kang, and the only differences in his game are: Timley's isolation and insecurity, Kang's self-confidence and rage in Ant, self-confidence and omniscience in the One Who stays.
The guy is still not coping very well, and already a recast is on the way.

@SSchmidt: if Thor and the Avengers don't find out what Loki has achieved, then what is it all about.
He does not have the opportunity to see his brother (yet), has lost his family like him, cannot see his only friend and the version of himself that he fell in love with, but he did not allow himself to be happy for the sake of a higher goal.
I hope in the third Deadpool (which is unlikely) he will help TVA assemble a squad against Kang, or he will appear in all his glory and power in the Secret Wars themselves.

The rapture is blurred by the fact that other lines are not closed, there are many questions, it seems to me that it would have been better if he had killed Sylvia at the end of time. Than that's all. Yes, Loki is on the throne, the god of all gods, but that's it. No one knows. Moreover, with so much going on in the Marvel universe, it becomes completely unclear how to manage time at all. And considering that there will be an infinity war, Loki (other versions), or Sylvia may be invited back.

I had to remind myself that this Loki was just a variant developed by the carelessness of the Avengers of the Finale. He briefly looked at his "basic" life on a television screen. In this strange way, the story of the "original" Loki, who died in the hands of Thanos, and the alternate Loki, who took the place of the cosmic deity, form in my mind. And in this strange way, Loki just gets extra points into his piggy bank. The series turned out to be interesting, in particular, because they worked on the script and returned everything more or less logically to the dilemma with the sacred chronology and Kang. Except for Loki, everyone remained extras, the adult Timley had disappeared somewhere. But I'm personally glad that Hiddleston stayed on trend, as a good example of working on a character instead of the shit that's coming out in the current phase.

-Holycow-

12 Nov 2023, 18:18 #
@Hidji: It remains to find the genius who came up with the idea to show little Timeley in the last episode, so that someone would say "He didn't become a great inventor, that's all" and you, unfortunately, were confused by this... and no one there had accidentally said anything about the options before... a series about a bunch of Loki was also shown somewhere, like... In order for the adult Timeline to disappear, it needs to be erased, and the fact that the boy was not given a book is one of the options.
Redopera
Redopera
12 Nov 2023, 18:44 #
@Hidji: It's just strange that he wasn't even honored with a frame in the "happy ending" extras. They showed his version, which was not given guidance in childhood. And the one who stayed in TVA was slapped with a stick, let's say goodbye?
In general, I would like to add that the series is allowed a fairly serious scale. This version of Loki did not have time to completely shrink, unlike the original self. He made friends and wasn't alone. At the click of a finger, he lived for a good hundred more years, studying science. This does not make him a brilliant scientist, but it obviously makes the multiverse clear. The arranged orgy in the UVI with the creation/cutting of timelines should be causally consistent with both already released and future Marvel films affecting multiverses.
I also need help figuring it out. Are the timelines that the weaver handles variants of only one universe? Or is the totality of these timelines a multiverse? While I was writing the questions, I leaned towards the first option. The multiverse in Loki's hands is too much.
Hidji
Hidji
12 Nov 2023, 19:12 #
@Redopera: maybe too much. But after watching it, for some reason, I got the impression that it was the events of the "Loki" finale that gave rise to the current multiverse with an unimaginably large number of options that TVA had previously cut off, and then the Weaver could not take out. Now they are available and they are directly displayed on the Multivers. Although then the question arises with the Observer, who seems to have already been prescribed in "What if...?". You can't figure it out without half a liter😁

@Hidji: even when marvelcomics was released on Wikipedia, I remember coming across some cosmic cubes, which included the Otherworldly, as well as the Living Tribunal. At this rate, the CME can reach them much faster than it seems. These are already completely out-of-the-realm entities. In general, I have some doubts about the possibilities of today's film industry, it is accessible and interesting to broadcast quantum mechanical plots through the same 2D screen, sounds and acting talents. This certainly does not mean that they are bad, it just becomes somehow insufficient to convey the full range of events. So far, the multiverse has only generated controversy and an attempt to consistently conceptualize parallel processes. Here's the second half liter, please :D

And now it's really interesting what Marvel will choose: a third season or a new solo Loki and Thor? I don't even know which is better, but I'm a little more inclined to the film because of the meeting of the brothers (but not with the Thai director).

It was worth wading through mediocre episodes at the beginning of the season to enjoy the last two. A gorgeous two-hour movie about Loki. It is here that he goes through a heroic path and makes a choice. Somewhere in the middle there was despair that everything was in vain. There was a fear that, as in many fantasy series, they would now get rid of the main villain, and everything would return to its original state. But Loki fixed everything. And how cool Tom Hiddleston is! I hope he gets at least an Emmy nomination.

Perhaps, as a god, he could have done all this at the beginning of the season - to learn how to manage time, to harness the web of time. But he needed to figure out how it worked, to experience loss, disappointment, and powerlessness in order to come to his god Loki essence. They used to complain in the comments here that Loki from KMV is a trickster, but in the series he is too kind. But to pull it all off, you also need a lot of ingenuity and cunning. How he tried over and over again to make Obie and Timeli's plan work! And what can I say, real heroes often have to live alone and accept it.

A very beautiful reference to Igdrasil, we remembered the canon of mythology. All these threads reminded me of the Norns weaving fate - M.B. will Loki have such helpers in the future?...

@PlanePassenger: a little wrong.
Loki had two options.
Save Kang (UVI remains, and everything will be as it was. Just one sacred timeline)
Either not fix Kang's murder, and let the time weaver (fuse) explode anyway, that is, cut off all lines, leaving only one sacred time line. But at the same time, the UVI will collapse.
Anyway, there's only one time line left.
And Loki fought to save all possible timelines. But this was simply not possible by the forces of the UVI.
And so, having almost lost hope of saving all timelines, he talked with Mobius and Sylvia.
And I decided to act on a hunch, just drag it in, and save all the timelines.
Destroy the timeline weaver, and take his place, holding all the lines himself, but at the same time, somehow holding in his hands an infinitely increasing number of them, which the weaver would not have done. But Loki could. How? I don't know. It's too stupid to believe that.
But it looks very cool.

Damn, it feels like this is it...the end of this series😭I hope that there will still be a little hope for the third season, or at least a special one🤞since Loki has grown and changed so much, he will be greatly missed 😔

In addition to the ending, I liked the moment they say:

- Here! Is that what it is?
- It looks like a time jump..
"But how is that possible?"
- And that's probably impossible..

This is the very concept of time jumps in a place where time has no power and/or in a place where time goes a little differently..

And the moment when Miss Minutka went nuts is funny, but makes you think..

What a series! Very exciting! The beginning, the end.. That's where life has led Loki to his cherished dream - the throne, but in a slightly different format.. He sacrificed himself and became the "God of Stories", he became the one who remains. He revived all the branches, saved the entire multiverse from destruction.. He revived and created an updated version of the timeline, he wove everything*, created Igdrasil from the branches, and it was simply divine and unrealistically beautiful.. Loki has become something he never thought he would be.. I hope this is not the end of his story! Thanks to the creators of the series, for this masterpiece!💚

@Каспер666: many people write this, but if so, then this is a special power, with which comes a special responsibility. No matter how powerful he was, he still didn't go to fight the Kangas, for example. As it is, he's mighty as hell, but he uses all this power for one specific, albeit incredibly important event.

It's so epic to complete Loki's story... I do not know about others, but I have watched the moment of ascension to the throne with the threads of time in my hands three times. Also, music is like the icing on the cake, added atmphospheres.
Loki seems to be the only hero who has been given such a beautiful story full of pain and tragedy. But it's so beautiful that it makes a lump in my throat. Who started it, who finished it - the scale of development and greatness at the end of the journey cannot be put into your head if you dig deeper. I'm thrilled

Sorry guys, but I didn't understand the meaning of Loki's self-sacrifice. In a conversation with TKO, he found out that the branches themselves do not die, they are killed by the weaver. If you break the weaver, then everything will be fine with the branches... except for the Kang spawn, which will start a Multiverse War.

Therefore, he replaces the weaver with himself... Kangas bred anyway. We know this from their scenes after the credits of Ant-Man, and from the words of Mobius at the end.

And thus, why would Loki be needed at the center of everything, when just a broken weaver would lead to the same result?
Hidji
Hidji
19 Nov 2023, 01:34 #
@chaotickgood: elementary, Watson). If the Weaver is simply destroyed, then all existing lines will be destroyed, as well as all those living in them. And that's exactly what Loki and the others didn't want. Save existing lines. It's been explained all season, how could it be overlooked?😁
chaotickgood

19 Nov 2023, 01:43 #
@Hidji: Okay, then that was fine. But let's say: Loki avoided the demise of the existing lines. The weaver, in general, fell apart, and a tree was woven instead.

Can't Loki unravel it so that the lines continue to exist? Even if it takes centuries of subjective time, it seems possible.

And if the lines die from any sneeze, then how did they give birth to the Multiverse BEFORE the weaver and the creation of UVI?
Hidji
Hidji
19 Nov 2023, 01:52 #
@chaotickgood: Well, logically speaking, there was a completely different history of the world before Tkach. The activity of "The One who remains" has already created the current one.

And the lines don't die from any sneeze, the Weaver generates them. Destroy the trunk of a tree, and the branches will not be able to live. If there is no machine, there is no canvas on it.

@chaotickgood: It doesn't generate the right word. Well, it fixes it or something, I don't remember exactly anymore). The important thing is that it collapses and the whole pasta pattern is fucked up. If there is no Weaver, there is no what came out of him. Generally. And everything in TVA is the same, which was clearly shown to us. Loki most likely remained the only one whole only because he was kind of pulled out of the Sacred Timeline and would be the last to be affected.

The first 4 episodes seemed pretty boring to me, and I might have abandoned the series if not for the laudatory reviews from everywhere. And they were right - the last 2 episodes are a bomb!
Frankly speaking, almost the whole point was played out in the last 2 episodes, and the first 4 are an outright filler, removing which, as if nothing would be lost.
Speaking of the first season, it had an interesting setting, but the plot left more questions than answers, and Kang seems to be recognized as an "unsuccessful experiment" in light of the latest news about the actor.
Now, good work has been done with gg, the coolest ending for Loki has been obtained, for once a powerful musical theme, a great game by Hiddleston - yes, the ending was a success! At least something against the backdrop of the crumbling Marvel cinematic universe after the World War II.

Unintelligible nonsense, not the season. The first one was still somehow curious and not bad, but here... it's just some kind of trap. The entire second season is a very long and boring lead-up to the last 5-10 cool minutes. In general, they can be limited. Thank you for at least some elegantly arranged ending for the character.

And I've seen and read that critics, viewers, and communities have been wildly enthusiastic about this season (or at least about its beginning).

What the fuck? Some kind of lenten fuss, in a courtyard patch. It's like all the creators have been replaced. And they scored so much on the interconnectedness, internal logic and consistency of everything and everything in their own script, which does not cause any attachment to what is being broadcast on the screen, or even allows you to feel it. That's really, of all the messages of their serial projects, Vandavision and Loki 1 somehow look more or less. The rest is just two words, ruined potential.

sadly.

At the moment when Loki went to destroy the Temporal Weaver and until he had a cape on his back, for a second it seemed that we would see Loki naked again, but that would be too awkward and ridiculous in such an epic scene :)

I rarely expect a well-written plot from Marvel anymore. But if you look at it without quibbling and a clear analysis of what you saw, then I liked what I saw, but again, if you don't bring up topics about what you haven't been too lazy to explain yet.

Cool for me:
- Season 2, episode 4 when the chela was split into atoms by temporary radiation, I sat with my mouth open watching what would happen next, and got an interesting sight that I liked.
Although now you will have to sit with many questions, you will understand that it was just too lazy for someone to think through the logic to the end.😅
- Season 2, episode 5, this is the life of some people when there is someone in their life who convinces them that they are wrong in the information they have, but in fact the one who convinced them is wrong in his own way, but you believed him and turned off the path, stalling yourself. I think they showed a very good semantic point.👍 On the one hand, it is important to change your point of view, but not so drastically, and to weigh the information that you receive and what you have, rather than running from extreme to extreme. (however, that's what Loki did later, he went through millions of options, the only question is where exactly did he get such a power and he took over this time travel)
- Loki has the idea of a new superpower, and that he develops into a positive character, I'm very impressed, I do not know why, but for all his appearances before the series, I always wanted to see a character with a different life line, and it's awesome what I saw in the series.
- Season 2, episode 6 - well, you can't think of an even funnier situation.
"Uba, how long will it take to teach me everything you know about mechanics, physics, and engineering? Dozens of years. ... hundreds of years! ... Hundreds of years later..." who are we if not like Loki 😂👍

The ending is epic, but it has not been explained where the ability to jump, and even more so the ability to harness time lines, comes from. His telekinesis is not that strong, in fact. Or then any telekinetic can do the same thing. And since Loki walked across the bridge without a suit, he could have done it from the very beginning, especially centuries later.

@Gordon_Round: horse racing appeared on its own at 2*01, then at 2*05 he learned how to control them. And during the millions of attempts to change the situation at the End of Time after the first demo, he also learned over time the possibility of a pause. I don't think it's about telekinesis. Victor was sent to the machine because he was an expert in technology and could fix it on the spot. And he went at the end when he realized what he had to do. It's not a fact that he would have succeeded in the past times.

If Loki jumped through time on TWA and changed events, does that mean there is a special TWA multiverse tree?
Well, now the possible course of events is that a lot of Kangas appear, one of them finds out about the TWA (for example, the one who came to Rensleer). Next, the current TWA will fall. Just like Loki will lose again and be dethroned. Kang will defeat the other Kangas (at least by gathering them all together in that amphitheater and blowing them up), destroy Loki's Igdrasil, and fix the sacred timeline. he will re-recruit TWA for himself. He will erase everyone's memory and go to his citadel at the end of time. And all over again. )

The series is beautiful. The scriptwriters told a great story, and as always, they left the strings for other films. It is not known what became of Renslayer, who threw it to the Egyptians, who came to her, another version of He Who Remains? Will we see him in the new Marvel x X-men movies?
I watched it constantly looking back at the remaining time, because I was afraid that the series would end. It was still a little short, but they told me everything beautifully.

But somehow everything worked before the OIA. How was it before the machine?
Can't Loki let others or versions of himself see what he's seen and knows?
How much is Strange aware of these branches, of the Internal Affairs Department, and of the Machine's problems? That's what's missing – the connection to the movies, especially when there are characters there who are/have been doing time. Are the branches here and the universes in Spider-3 the same thing? If not, what's the difference?
And why didn't Loki put on a spacesuit or stop time? Why did the branches begin to die after the destruction of the Machine?
Is there a mess in branch 616? "Quantomania"?

2. They say there will be a 5th Thor. I wish Thor would know about the version of Loki who became kind and saved the whole world at the cost of his life/freedom.

Interesting notes:
* Rensleyer was not in Egypt, but in the Void, where they get after killing (pruning)
* The timelines eventually took on the image of Yggdrasil, the Scandinavian tree of life that Thor told Jane about in his first film.
* In The Avengers, Tony said that Loki would always lose and would never become king. That's what happened in the main chronology, but in this alt. But he did become king. But if earlier he wanted to rule out of personal beliefs and desires, then here he became king in order to save everyone
* Loki's words to his friends at the end are the same as Odin's at the end of the first "Thor"
* The series has the same name as 1*01

I hope the whole series will be finished this season, then it will only spoil something.

It is also curious, in Loki's dialogue with Mobius in TVA in the middle of the episode, it is said that Loki was born a king, and the other replies that they say let's figure it out, the man who would be king (The Man who would be King),
this phrase quotes the title of the 1975 film, where in the 19th century two Englishmen came somewhereIt was in Afghanistan that they became co-rulers, one of them was accidentally mistaken for God, he supported this misconception, but at one point he did something stupid that led to the death of both. Is there something similar implied here, or is it just a coincidence?

It has been incredibly difficult to watch this series since the first season. This scoop cyberpunk entourage, incomprehensible people with incomprehensible goals, confusing time jumps. And it seemed like I just wanted to watch a TV series about my beloved Loki. Each episode was with the thought, what does Loki, the god of deception, have to do with it? And in the end, all the threads are so well woven, literally and figuratively. I swear, I thought the ending would be to kill the female version of Loki, and thanks for that. But the creators have stepped much further and much cooler. As I see it, the series is on pause and most of the characters got a blurry ending, hinting at a sequel. I hope that there will be no continuation, because the main character of this series has undergone a rather serious transformation and has become a truly integral character. In an attempt to complete the plots of the minor characters, they may accidentally or intentionally take the Loki line. Well, or to remind that Loki is a god of pizdabol and suck out the whole season that time is a relative concept and the entire time stream is actually dead, it's just that Loki maintained the illusion that his friends would live happily ever after.

In general, this series is racking its head, the creators are well done. But it was a sweaty rink.

Loki is perhaps one of the few characters who, thanks to the series, managed to be prescribed so thoroughly and probably the only one (perhaps I'm mistaken) who has received such a development... from the God of deception, to the God of Salvation. Considering that these are literally two opposites, then thank you so much to the creators for the fact that they managed to lead the hero quite logically along this path, and not "Well, he's all kind".
To be honest, there was some regret left after the completion. Even his place of government looks gloomy in comparison with his predecessor, but this is probably another reference to who he is and where he was born in a cold, cruel world, I'm already silent about his desire not to be lonely, but in the end he still remained lonely.
I was waiting for the great battle that was being talked about, but not for the sad Loki on the throne.
A wonderful character, a wonderful actor, sorry, but he deserves better...

@KostyaSib: what happened in season 1: Loki enters a world where he is not a god, but an error, there is a powerful organization, a variant of the dangerous Loki, an antagonist, the first appearance of Kang, the deconstruction of the entire universe, appropriate cataclysms, a world with a bunch of variants of Loki, a promising cliffhanger. What happens in season 2: you know, it doesn't matter, because the only thing that happens there is that Loki takes Kang's place, which the latter asked for, and all other events don't affect anything. And the fact that Loki became a paladin in the second season without fear and reproach is rather a minus, but I do not plan to convince him)

I don't know if the ending is great for someone, but I'm a fan of Happy Endings. Loki is a man who constantly suffered, wanted only power, thought only of himself, changed his worldview, met friends, and a possible lover. He found happiness, and then he lost it..
Undoubtedly, this series showed his personal growth, showed that Loki, who was and who is now completely different, that this Loki is ready to sacrifice himself and bring his main fear - loneliness and being left without loved ones - to life in order to save many people and his loved ones.
Besides, I was hoping for a brighter reaction from the main characters, as if something was missing in the series.

I didn't like the ending.

Well, look: there was a sacred timeline. She was guarded by UVI, destroying the versions that appeared by chance.
Loki made a sacrifice to do what? Save your friends and give them a choice of where and how to live? Well, someone wants to stay in UVI, but they don't need it anymore! There is no sacred line, all lines are equal.

And I don't understand what the point of the disorder was a couple of episodes ago, when the side timelines were destroyed. The people destroyed in the side branches live in the main line. Side lines are a bug in the system. And as we saw in the last episode, if there are a lot of bugs, then the system breaks down. Nothing holds up.

For me, it was an impossibly difficult choice to kill Sylvia. Or just go back even earlier in the story, and maybe Sylvia would never have found out about the Timekeeper.
@sofka3d: now imagine that you don't live in a sacred timeline, but just in a branch, because one day, for example, you decided not to go to university, or something else. And your timeline is recognized as a side issue and must be deleted. Would you like it?) Side branches are not a bug, but alternative universes, and there are real people living there.

after the last episode, I realized that this is one of Marvel's best projects... the ending turned out to be magnificent, amazing, and a masterpiece... and in general, all the synonyms that can be used for these words. the last scenes are touching to the core, I didn't like the fact that Loki was changed too quickly in this series, making it too blurry at the beginning, not the way it was in all other Marvel films, but the ending breaks all these reflections, because you start thinking that despite the fact that that he would have to spend time alone in this hole, he decided to sacrifice himself for his loved ones, without thinking about what awaits him there. I even wonder how his return will turn out in the new Avengers installment, knowing that Hiddleston will be in it, which I am very happy about. Otherwise, I think the last two episodes are some of the best in Marvel as a whole, it was incredibly cool! and most importantly, we were shown the way to change Loki himself, although not thoroughly, but you can see that even an avid narcissist can sacrifice himself for those who are dear to him and show that he is still not the person they tried to drive into our heads, but who cares, despite The fact that he had always been a villain who should be hated and despised, Hiddleston decided to make sure that there was no hatred for his character anymore, if he wasn't played by Tom, I think everyone would look at him differently, and anyway, he is incredible in this role. I can't see anyone else in it anymore, if not him! The series is great, it will definitely be one of the top favorites.

I still didn't understand what exactly He-who-Stays was up to, or why he let himself be killed.

In what sense, centuries later, poor Loki became a super physicist
Loki understood, if you want to do everything well, do it yourself😂
The horror🥲

The first 4 episodes were boring, it's a pity they only picked up the pace so late.

From the moment when Loki's cape and helmet appear, goosebumps went
Oh, we remembered that Loki has divine powers at the end of the series😭 How his helmet was woven from branches, so beautiful

Poor Loki, the wrong throne😭 Oh, and everything turned into Yggdrasil.
And he's alone again....forever...
