A very diverse incomprehensible world. For some reason, I associate it with Plutonium, well, or with Those Created in the abyss. Drawing, of course, for an amateur. And so I watched 3 episodes released in one gulp. Quite interesting.
The drawing is very budget-friendly, but the color combinations and the overall picture turn out fine.
The plot is quite typical and standard for the first series (and you don't need more)
Insanely interesting, diverse and UNUSUAL world. Very atypical from the first minutes, which is why it is creepy and evokes real ignorance about what will happen next and what this or that creature will do. I'm not sure I've seen anything like this in fiction in the past.
@Danya_: I categorically disagree with you about the drawing, bang in your eyes. So many man-hours have been put into each frame, and a tremendous amount of work has been done. The drawing is not even close to "very budgetary", but just very expensive.
Amazing cartoon! I especially liked the planet - it's really DIFFERENT, and not just a ruskin of the Earth. It is clear that the authors approached the creation of another world with imagination.
And the world immediately reminded me of Master Miyazaki's cartoon "Nausicaa from the Valley of the Winds", although the drawing, of course, is for an amateur).
@Artemirsk: there is anime too, not just manga. Visually, by the way, much cooler than this. There are also Miyazaki cartoons and much more. I even remember a couple of Soviet cartoons in this spirit, but I forgot their names.
@Aeolide: yeah, and the second part). The drawing is completely different, but there are many similarities. Rene Lalu's cartoons are also somewhat similar, they are also from half a century ago. They have already been mentioned below.
@ragnarocker: yes! the whole series recalled footage from the Lords of Time, and even sounds like similar. thank you, I couldn't remember the name, I need to reconsider)
It seems to me that for newcomers it should be noted that there are elements of bio-horror in the series, this is not indicated in the tags, but sometimes it's difficult to have lunch under this cartoon))) That does not prevent you from getting great pleasure from the series.
A whole planet that wants to devour you. A very unusual world full of dangers. I remembered Will Smith's film "After Our Era". This should be a world where every creature wants to eat you, and not what is shown in Smith's film.
The drawing is budget-friendly, but it still looks interesting.
It's cool, but the short film somehow seemed more interesting, with a whole chain of feeding the bioproduct of one creature to another, and all for the sake of eventually ... (I won't spoiler). And most importantly, how much time has passed since the emergency landing that the survivors managed to explore ways to interact with the local fauna and find a bio-substitute for everything from gas masks to parachutes without dying in unsuccessful attempts? Well, that is, this is how such a trial and error method could have guessed that it was necessary to get inside such an animal, pull the gut here, kick in the liver there, and then it will throw you out with two biophonics in the kit?
@AntonScott: Oh yes, I watched the Wild Planet, and I was delighted 👍 despite the haste of the narration, the film was very hooked and memorable.
But the Lords of Time is not so impressed. Of course, I got high from drawing, but the plot is more childish, without a philosophical component, like in a Wild planet.
The third cartoon, by the way, Gandahar from Rene Lalu liked it more
I can't believe it exists. The style is amazing, it's probably literally the most beautiful thing I've seen from animation. The atmosphere is amazing. An incredible mix of works by Mobius and "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Winds".
A completely unearthly planet that leaves even Pandora from Avatar far behind, let alone other "alien" planets, where the color of grass and the number of limbs of animals simply change.
It's too early to talk about the plot, but the plot is interesting, although not something completely unique, but there's nothing wrong with that.
Full of delight, 100% hit on me and love from the first minutes.
I'm thrilled. The drawing is made so soundly that you can savor every piece of the frame. Such a diverse flora and fauna. Yes, and the plot does not let you get bored, and I want to look further to find out the fate of Demeter's crew.
An interesting visual style, rarely seen. Although, of course, the planet and its inhabitants were more impressed. It's very interesting, nothing is clear, so we need to look further.
Everyone writes what it looks like and reminds different people of different things))) It reminded me a lot of the game Subnautica, the plot and atmosphere are similar))
Nausicaa of the Valley of the Winds + Avatar + Adventure time looks great! Very unexpectedly, the last time I was so surprised only by the Primitive and Invulnerable
It's a very pleasant feeling! Just like in the process of reading something from the golden age of fiction :) the anxious expectation of the unknown and the unknown, and at the same time the anticipation of the new. Everyone has already said about the style and execution earlier: she is incomparable! I want to watch without stopping.

Savoring each frame is simple
and drawing in the same spirit.. and anyway!

I also recommend Fantastic Planet (La Planète sauvage)
