I liked how Snead called Jack the most brilliant surgeon in the end, I hope Jack will be released because he managed to save the governor's dear daughter. and anyway, the series, although light, was sometimes kept in suspense and concern for the characters. the questions are only for some costumes, but let's close our eyes to this, since, in general, the picture is very pleasant.

Awesome series, I watched it in 2 approaches. It perfectly conveys the atmosphere, an interesting story, and many different emotions.

Sincere, sometimes naive, not particularly realistic, but very colorful, with bright, memorable characters, and wonderful music.
It's a pity that only one season - I could endlessly watch Hetty's professionalism and eye-rolling, Fanny's charming stupidity, Sneed's envy and admiration, the arbitrariness of the mother of the family, and the stupid but kind governor. Even characters like Darius and Gaines, who are frankly frightening in their cruelty, turned out to be very interesting - at the same time caricatured and multifaceted. And I don't say anything about a gang of bandits at all, they are all charismatic to the extreme, dangerous and funny, as a selection.
A special rarity - and pleasure - is that super-episodic characters like the priest, the professor, the unfaithful wife and Oliver turned out to be gorgeous, just a sight!
And of course, a separate wow is Feigin. For the sake of Tulis alone, we could watch this show, but we were also showered with the aging baby face of Sangaster, who does an excellent job as an adrenaline junkie with an overly kind heart, and Maya Mitchell, whose Belle turned out to be both antisocial-arrogant, delightfully ironic, and very, very sweet.
In short, what is so little, huh? Give me more.

I think it's a great series. I've long wanted something just like this, a little naive and a little old-fashioned, with great humor. It came out right mentally. Absolutely everyone's characters are good, even those who only appear in episodes. I agree that Fagan is a separate decoration of the entire series, and you can watch it at least for his sake. It is unclear, however, why there is only one season. On the other hand, if you choose between a complete story (although there is little of it) and the likelihood of stretching the series into drudgery and self-repetition (there is always a risk of this), then let it be better that way.

Thewlis is the best thing that happened in the series.
It's a pity that once again they left a reserve for season 2 and did not continue it.
But it's good that at least we ended up in such a way that we can think of most of the storylines.

Okay, this open end wasn't so bad. Knowing Jack Dawkins and Fagin, they will get out of this situation 100%, especially since they even hinted at it. However, I would like to see Belle and Jack at the end, so they really fit together as characters.

The verdict of the series: a very good good series. There are chases, there are plans for theft, there are beautiful costumes, cool music, good visual. The plot itself is addictive to watch and in itself is not boring at all. There is concern for the characters, for their feelings and fate. I also want to mention the good scenes with the operations, I am not a medic, I do not know the history of medicine, so everything was logical for me. These scenes are interesting, with blood and viscera, I like that (in general, I like to watch operations in movies and TV series). I didn't see any sagging logic, that is, the whole plot was very structured for me, without any strange techniques.

Well, the actors are just cute. Everyone is playing well, it is clear that they themselves were getting high from filming. Thomas Sangster fit the role perfectly. The era suits him, and the style of such a fast, nimble and smart thief (partly former)- the surgeon. I didn't expect much from Maya Mitchell, but she pleased me with the embodiment of such a wayward smart girl. We all know David Thewlis, he is good in any role. I didn't recognize him at all when I first saw him. Their tandem with Thomas came out bright and sincere. Yes, and Fagin's character turned out to be interesting. He is smart, cunning, and charming, everything is as it should be.

A nice series, for one evening, relax and laugh, and at the end let out a tear, but then smile again.

From the classic Dickens novel, we learn - here are the good, here are the bad, here is the evil, here is the good. And what if we try to give the floor to the opposite, not universally recognized good side? Pickpocket Jack Dawkins, his mentor the Jew Feigin - what are they, what do they dream about, what do they strive for (besides ensuring a good life for themselves, of course), what will they become if they are placed in other conditions? Say, to Australia?

The series captures from the first minute and does not let go until the last frame of the last episode. Bright, charismatic, exciting! Do you believe in what is happening, in the plot, in emotions, in the fact that the dexterous fingers of a pickpocket may find another, more worthy use, and the love, friendship, paternal and mentoring lines can really be prescribed fresh and unremarkable.

Eight episodes flew by in one go, I'm looking forward to the second season!

I watched the whole season in one go. The plot is light, but with intrigue, and Belle and Jack's relationship makes them genuinely root for them. I hope they have a happy ending, just like Feygin's. He's an oddball, but with his own twist.) Visually, everything is fine too, if you don't find fault with some points. I'm really looking forward to the sequel!

It keeps you constantly in suspense, there are a lot of events, sometimes everything mixes up and grows like one big snowball, which makes it even more fun to watch. It seems to me that someone clearly put their soul into creating this little show. Well, at least the first season for sure.

He's a very ambiguous character. you just think to predict his behavior and motives, but he behaves differently. For example, his last act is my respect. I thought he might betray Jack. I was glad to be wrong.
