s02e01 — What Can the Damned Really Say to the Damned

A great episode! close enough to the original source not to disappoint fans of the books, but also not too long to get bored.
I was very pleased with the dynamics between Armand and Daniel. while Louis is on the verge of a nervous breakdown going through the worst moments in his life, the two try to manipulate him in order, in Daniel's case, to get more information and, in Armand's case, to hide inconvenient facts, so that their joint scenes are interesting to watch on several levels at once.
Also, Delaney as Claudia is absolutely amazing! she has become more like her book prototype, she is no longer Louis's daughter, now she is old enough to understand him, she is his equal and can rub Louis's nose in his failures.
anyway, while the series holds the bar, it's interesting to watch, the characters are well written, the actors work out every penny 10/10

Wow, what a gorgeous objection to the screens! Claudia's new actress, Delaney Hales, is playing just fine.
Lestat, who has the role of the restless ghost of a dead wife this season, is wonderful. What an interesting idea, there was no such thing in the books or in the movie..
Asad Zaman - my God, how incredible he is in the role of Arman...I just want to steal such beauty for myself. and how delightfully and subtly he manipulates Louis!
Well, Daniel...this is a separate star of this series, how I adore his sarcastic ass 😂

Hooray for the new season! I watched 5 for the first time while waiting, while everything is very interesting, especially the zombie vampire.

Between the first and second season, I read the first 6 books and now it has become even more interesting to watch because I already know the main events and have a great idea of how and what will happen next, but at the same time everything has changed enough so there is always an element of surprise and a constant desire to see exactly what will happen, what changes will be made next, what will be left as it is when and how the rest of the characters will appear. Complete delight!

I missed this series, the atmosphere.
It took me a long time to get used to Louis, but now I looked at him and realized that he was good!
I liked the new Claudia, she plays well.
Lestat's appearances are beautiful and terrible. As depressingly shown by this longing and fear of Louis, he is still fascinated by this devil and will never be able to get rid of this obsession.
Armand... I don't like Armand in principle. I haven't read all the books, but I doubt that my opinion of him will change much. He's not my favorite on the show either. Lestat has never hidden the fact that he is a snake. Armand is supposedly good and loving, but he manipulates Louis much more sophisticated than Lestat ...

I'll say this, I didn't watch the first season at all excitedly. But when the beautiful Armand beckoned in front of my nose, I was really looking forward to the new season. Now I look at most of them because of him. You give more screen time to handsome Armand)))

I would like to say a few words in defense of why the series shows the discontent of local residents towards the soldiers of the Red Army. The events of the series take place in Romania. Romania fought in World War II on the side of Germany, was defeated and forced to end the war with the USSR. Russian Russians are bad and evil because they are Russians and Russians in general are no better than Hitler. I think it shows the discontent of the population of the losing country, and not the "cranberry" that Russians are bad and evil because they are Russians and Russians in general are no better than Hitler.
But, in fairness, such a narrative is really popular abroad now and no sane Russian can support such a thing. I hope the creators of the series didn't mean anything like that. But of course, for the average American schoolboy who will watch it, everything will look exactly like this: the Russians did not win in anything and they were hated just like the Nazis, it is unlikely that the target audience of the series is aware of who fought on whose side and until what year

All those who write about the story are narrow-minded people sitting in their white heterosexual bubble. And I feel very sorry for them. It is a pity that their bubble does not allow them to understand that the dominance of white cisgender heterosexual and completely identical men that has reigned in Hollywood since the creation of cinema has passed. People are not interested in watching and showing the same stories, people want new things, they want to see diversity not because of some kind of agenda, the Dulles plan and the Overton window (or what nonsense do the commentators believe?), but simply because they want to. What's the point of looking at the same thing for 150 years?
The 1994 film is good, but the TV series is also good, good in a different way. Why make something 30 years old absolute when you can move on?

Finally, at least someone showed the life of vampires during the war!

The new Claudia is cool. But the overall impression of the series is still no. I hope and believe that the second series will make a different impression.

Firstly, soldiers who have seen horrors for five years, hundreds of kilometers from home in some wilderness, and obviously not professors or engineers in civilian life, but ordinary people prone to superstition (as the journalist said, farmers are at war with farmers). Secondly, they, like the locals, know that there is someone in the forest, people disappear one by one, you think no one noticed it, so many deserters, hardly.
