112Well, I went to read books, I didn't learn German so much for nothing.
I liked how they revealed the themes of desires, dreams, and my own choice. It resonates strongly in me and it was interesting to watch what was happening!
Ruby and James🥺❤️🩹 The actors did a great job with the roles, in my opinion, they looked organically in the frame🦋
I'm looking forward to season 2! By that time, it will be necessary to return to the books and refresh the plot of the remaining parts in memory☺️

I like the relationship in Ruby's family, her father and mother are caring, her sister supports her in everything. You can't say the same about James and Lydia's father, a rich tyrant and that's it. I have already written compliments under previous episodes, but once again I will say why I liked it so much: not only because of the beautiful actors (many films and TV series have them), but because of the well-written characters, and not the cardboard boxes, which in 6 episodes managed to reveal themselves well, made me empathize and believe them. The actors played their roles by 200%. The scene of the first sex turned out to be so tender and erotic, where, again, it feels like two people in love are making love. This is rarely seen in teen dramas.
And the line with James's sister, Lydia, also pleased me! I liked her character too.
My only complaint is: why is there only 6 episodes? At least 8, but I wouldn't give up 10 either! I really, really hope that the entire trilogy will be filmed to the end. Because it's a really high-quality thing in its genre. And once again the proof: that a seemingly hackneyed plot is not always bad, details and implementation are important. Well, seriously, for a long time I didn't like both main characters as much as I did here. James is a really deep and good guy, not a walking bag of dough and a beautiful picture, and Ruby is a very persistent and self-sufficient girl, for whom you also want to cheer. I hope that later in the story they will stand together against the asshole father and against all other obstacles!

First of all, I must say right away that I read the entire trilogy, I really liked it and I was waiting for the series.
I liked the film adaptation, I'm glad that they didn't change anything and throw out important pieces from the book. That's probably how I imagined it all, apart from some little things.
However, she imagined Mr. Sutton and Father James quite differently. But these are small things and only my expectations.
Secondly, I really did not expect that it would be the Germans who would make the film adaptation, since the action takes place in England :) But it turned out well
One of the advantages is a beautiful picture, an excellent soundtrack, the plot was not cut, so I put 8 out of 10. I wonder what will happen next, despite the fact that I know what will happen next) I just wonder how it will be implemented and shown

1) Ruby is shown in the book as a daily planner, imho it showed her responsibility, her systematization and overall attitude to business very well. Yes, the diary was shown, but somehow briefly, as if it was just that the girl has a diary. But in the book, this was an important aspect of the character and it was by it that you could sometimes understand the mood and condition. But, again, that's how I see it, and the screenwriters saw it differently.
2) Lin and Ruby's friendship was shown little, but Lin is really a very important part of Ruby's life. I hope that they will reveal it further

you can enumerate indefinitely. it seems that nothing good can come out with such a set, but! surprisingly, it can. of course, this is not a first-class love story (do not expect this), but six episodes will quite brighten up a dull evening for you and become such a fast serotonin. the shortcomings in the originality of the plot twists are covered by the rather good chemistry of the actors, good dialogues (after watching "after " it was from them that I had a moral trauma), beautiful shots and everyone's favorite music. the minor characters are not flat at all, I want to watch the development of their stories. it remains only to wish the series not to become something third-rate in the second season.
